Dear Champion of the Bible,

The grave never wins. That truth came alive for me during my recent visit to East Africa, where I reconnected with Pastor Samuel and witnessed a revival that refuses to be silenced by the threat of violence. Even more new believers were baptized, and each one received a Bible in their own language.

I wish you could have seen their faces. The way they held those Bibles close. The quiet tears. The joy. There are no words to describe the power of holding God’s Word, in your own language, for the very first time.

That moment was only possible because of you.

But stories like Pastor Samuel’s also remind me of how much work remains. This Easter, millions of believers around the world celebrated the resurrection of Jesus Christ. But millions more are still waiting for Scripture in a language they can understand. Many live in places where sharing the Gospel comes at great personal cost. Others face barriers of poverty, isolation, or government restriction.

Your prayers and support make it possible for us to reach them. Together, we’re translating God’s Word, equipping local leaders, and placing Bibles in the hands of new believers in the world’s most challenging places.

Would you join me in praying for this work? Pray for translators laboring in difficult regions. Pray for believers like Pastor Samuel who risk everything to share the Gospel. And pray that we would have the resources and wisdom to reach every person still waiting.

Until all hear,

A New Monthly Invitation: Pray with Us

Around the world, millions of believers live in regions where access to God’s Word is limited or restricted. The map below will help you understand where believers lack reliable access to Bibles and often face persecution.

Each month, we will focus on one region and invite faithful partners like you to pray with us. Together, we’ll lift up the believers, pastors, and seekers in places where owning or accessing Scripture is difficult, dangerous, or nearly impossible.

Through this monthly prayer focus, you will meet people whose lives have been transformed by Scripture through the generosity of partners like you. We will share stories about what God is doing and include a guided prayer prompt to help you intentionally pray for believers in each region.

As you pray, know that your partnership is already helping place Scripture into waiting hands. Thank you for joining us in praying for the millions of believers around the world who face severe restrictions in accessing Scripture. In the months ahead, we look forward to seeking God together and watching how He opens doors for His Word to reach His people.

India

In India, some Christian believers face persecution, including attacks on churches, burned Bibles, and violence against missionaries. Religious tensions in parts of the country have also led to broader conflicts, particularly between Hindu and Muslim communities.

  • Pray for believers to stand firm in their faith even while facing opposition or societal pressures.
  • Lift up believers facing significant obstacles to Scripture access and ask God to open doors for safe Bible distribution.
  • Ask God to raise up a generation of youth in India who find their identity in Him. Pray for God to strengthen their faith and deepen their hunger for His Word.

From Confusion to Calling: How a Teen’s Setback Sparked Her Heart for Youth

After high school in India, Grace entered one of the most confusing seasons of her life.

Despite her hard work and big, lifelong dreams, she failed to get into a well-known, prestigious college.

“Why is this happening?” she prayed. “You are good, so why is my life not turning out the way I had imagined?”

Crushed and emotionally exhausted, Grace found herself caught between faith and frustration.

An Unexpected Encounter in Scripture

In the middle of her disappointment, Grace began reading her Reach4Life Bible. One day, she came across the story of Peter and Andrew in Matthew’s Gospel. They were ordinary fishermen who weren’t highly educated, yet Jesus chose to use them in powerful ways.

The realization gave Grace a new perspective.

Maybe her life wasn’t defined by the name of a college. Even if she didn’t get into a top university, God still had a plan for her life. For the first time since her rejection, Grace felt seen and understood by God.

Whenever new struggles surfaced, Grace turned to Reach4Life for answers. She searched topics, read the connected Bible verses, and often sensed God speaking directly to her situation. Slowly, she realized her worth and calling were not based on her achievements or titles, but on God’s purpose for her. That truth gave her peace.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. — Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)

A Meeting That Changed Everything

Soon after, Grace attended her first Reach4Life youth meeting. She was amazed that the topics felt so personal and relatable to her current situation. At the time, she was struggling with forgiveness. As the speaker shared how Jesus’ forgiveness had transformed his own life, Grace realized she wasn’t the only one struggling.

Around her, other young people spoke openly about unforgiveness, confusion, laziness, lust, betrayal, and disappointment. Through those conversations, the Holy Spirit stirred in Grace’s heart, giving her a burden for the youth in her country.

India has one of the largest youth populations in the world. Yet so many young people are searching and hurting while trying to figure out life on their own. Grace realized her calling was to share the love and forgiveness of Jesus with them.

From Failure to Mission

What once felt like failure became the start of her calling.

The college rejection she thought would define her future became the very place where God met her. Now, Grace feels called to work among the youth in India, helping them discover the hope of Jesus and find abundant life in Him.

Through the faithful partnership of investors like you, God’s Word is reaching young people across India, meeting them in their confusion and anchoring them in truth.

Your gift today will place Scripture directly into the hands of teenagers like Grace who are searching for identity and purpose, helping deliver the hope of Christ to the next generation of believers in India and beyond.

Pray for India

“Lord, You know the hardships many Christians are facing in India. Strengthen them and give them courage as they draw near to You. Give them wisdom, creativity, and opportunities to reach others in their communities. May the Word of God bring hope to those who are searching for answers. Help every believer remain rooted in their faith and be a bold witness for You. Amen.”
