Jesus Heals a Man With Leprosy
1When Jesus came down from the mountainside, large crowds followed him. 2A man with leprosy8:2 The Greek word traditionally translated leprosy was used for various diseases affecting the skin. came and knelt before him and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”
3Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy. 4Then Jesus said to him, “See that you don’t tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.”
The Faith of the Centurion
5When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help. 6“Lord,” he said, “my servant lies at home paralyzed, suffering terribly.”
7Jesus said to him, “Shall I come and heal him?”
8The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. 9For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
10When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith. 11I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. 12But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
13Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! Let it be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that moment.
Jesus Heals Many
14When Jesus came into Peter’s house, he saw Peter’s mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. 15He touched her hand and the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on him.
16When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. 17This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah:
“He took up our infirmities
and bore our diseases.”8:17 Isaiah 53:4 (see Septuagint)
The Cost of Following Jesus
18When Jesus saw the crowd around him, he gave orders to cross to the other side of the lake. 19Then a teacher of the law came to him and said, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.”
20Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”
21Another disciple said to him, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.”
22But Jesus told him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”
Jesus Calms the Storm
23Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
26He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
27The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”
Jesus Restores Two Demon-Possessed Men
28When he arrived at the other side in the region of the Gadarenes,8:28 Some manuscripts Gergesenes; other manuscripts Gerasenes two demon-possessed men coming from the tombs met him. They were so violent that no one could pass that way. 29“What do you want with us, Son of God?” they shouted. “Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?”
30Some distance from them a large herd of pigs was feeding. 31The demons begged Jesus, “If you drive us out, send us into the herd of pigs.”
32He said to them, “Go!” So they came out and went into the pigs, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the lake and died in the water. 33Those tending the pigs ran off, went into the town and reported all this, including what had happened to the demon-possessed men. 34Then the whole town went out to meet Jesus. And when they saw him, they pleaded with him to leave their region.
麻风病痊愈
1耶稣下山的时候，有许多人跟着。 2有一个患麻风病的人过来跪在祂跟前，说：“主啊，如果你肯，就能使我洁净。”
3耶稣伸手摸他，说：“我肯，你洁净了吧！”那人的麻风病就立刻洁净了。
4耶稣对他说：“切勿把这事告诉别人，要去让祭司察看你的身体，并照摩西的规定献祭，向众人证明你已经洁净了。”
百夫长的信心
5耶稣到了迦百农，一个百夫长前来向祂求助，说： 6“主啊，我的仆人瘫痪，躺在家里，非常痛苦。”
7耶稣说：“我去医治他。”
8百夫长说：“主啊，你亲临舍下，我不敢当。只要你说一句话，我仆人就会痊愈。 9因为我有上司，也有部下。我命令这个部下去，他就去；要那个部下来，他就来。我吩咐奴仆做什么，他就做什么。”
10耶稣听了，感到惊奇，便对跟随祂的人说：“我实在告诉你们，我在以色列从未见过信心这么大的人。 11我告诉你们，将来有许多从东从西来的人会在天国与亚伯拉罕、以撒和雅各一同欢宴。 12但那些本应承受天国的人反而会被赶到外面的黑暗里，在那里哀哭切齿。”
13耶稣对百夫长说：“你回去吧！就照你所信的给你成就。”就在那时候，他的仆人便痊愈了。
治病赶鬼
14耶稣来到彼得家，看见彼得的岳母正在发烧，躺在床上。 15耶稣一摸她的手，她的烧就退了，她便起来服侍耶稣。
16当晚，有人带着许多被鬼附身的人来见耶稣。耶稣一句话就把鬼赶出去了，并治好了所有的病人。 17这是要应验以赛亚先知的话：“祂担当了我们的软弱，背负了我们的疾病。”8:17 以赛亚书53:4。
跟从耶稣的代价
18耶稣看到人群围着祂，就吩咐门徒渡到湖对岸。 19这时，有一位律法教师上前对耶稣说：“老师，无论你往哪里去，我都要跟从你。”
20耶稣说：“狐狸有洞，飞鸟有窝，人子却没有安枕之处。”
21另一个门徒对耶稣说：“主啊，请让我先回去安葬我的父亲。” 22耶稣对他说：“你跟从我，让死人去埋葬他们的死人吧！”
平静风浪
23耶稣上了船，门徒也跟着祂上去。 24忽然，湖面上狂风大作，波涛汹涌，船快要被巨浪吞没，耶稣却在睡觉。
25门徒连忙叫醒耶稣，说：“主啊，救命！我们快淹死了！”
26耶稣答道：“你们的信心太小了，为什么害怕呢？”于是祂起来斥责风和浪，风浪就完全平静了。
27门徒很惊奇，说：“祂究竟是什么人？连风浪都听祂的！”
治好两个被鬼附身的人
28耶稣到了对岸加大拉8:28 “加大拉”即格拉森地区。人的地方，遇见两个被鬼附身的人。他们从坟墓里出来，非常凶恶，没有人敢从那里经过。 29他们高喊：“上帝的儿子啊！我们和你有什么关系？时候还没有到，你就来叫我们受苦吗？”
30当时，有一大群猪在远处吃食。 31鬼就央求耶稣：“如果你要赶我们出去，就让我们进入猪群吧！”
32耶稣说：“去吧！”
于是，鬼从那二人身上出来，进入猪群，整群猪就一路奔下陡坡，冲进湖里淹死了。 33放猪的人逃进城，把事情的经过以及被鬼附身者的遭遇告诉了城里的人。 34于是，全城的人都出来见耶稣，见到后，便请求祂离开那里。
