Ang Pagkalaglag sang Babilonia
1Nagsiling ang Ginoo, “Magapungko ka sa duta, Babilonia. Magapungko ka nga wala sing trono. Ikaw nga pareho sa birhen nga babayi indi na pagtawgon nga mahinhin kag maluming. 2Ulipon ka na subong, gani magkuha ka sang galingan kag maggaling sang trigo. Huksa ang imo belo, kag alsaha ang imo bayo agod makita ang imo paa samtang nagatabok ka sa suba. 3Makita ang imo pagkahublas kag mahuy-an ka. Magatimalos ako sa imo kag indi ko ikaw pagkaluoyan.”47:3 indi ko ikaw pagkaluoyan: Indi klaro ang buot silingon sang Hebreo sini.
4Ang aton Manluluwas, nga ang iya ngalan Ginoo nga Makagagahom, amo ang Balaan nga Dios sang Israel.
5Nagsiling pa gid ang Ginoo, “Babilonia, magpungko ka sing malinong sa madulom nga lugar. Indi ka na pagtawgon nga rayna sang mga ginharian. 6Naakig ako sa katawhan nga akon ginpanag-iyahan, kag ginsikway ko sila. Gani gintugyan ko sila sa imo kamot, kag wala mo sila pagkaluoyi. Bisan gani ang mga tigulang sa ila ginpintasan mo. 7Nagsiling ka pa nga ang imo pagkarayna wala sing katapusan! Pero wala mo paghunahunaa ining imo mga ginhimo kag kon ano ang mangin resulta sini sa imo. 8Gani karon pamatii ini, ikaw nga mahilig sa pagpangalipay kag nagahunahuna nga indi ka maano. Nagasiling ka sa imo kaugalingon nga ikaw ang Dios, kag wala na sing iban pa. Nagahunahuna ka nga indi ka gid mabalo ukon madulaan sang mga anak.47:8 Nagahunahuna… anak: Siguro ang buot silingon, nagahunahuna siya nga indi siya madulaan sang manugprotektar ukon manugbulig. 9Pero sa hinali lang matabo ini sa imo: Mabalo ka kag madulaan sang mga anak. Matabo gid ini tanan sa imo bisan madamo ka pa sang nahibaluan nga madyik ukon binabaylan. 10Nagasalig ka nga indi ka maano sa imo pagkamalaot, kay nagahunahuna ka nga wala sing may nakakita sa imo. Ang imo kaalam kag ihibalo nagapatalang sa imo, kag nagatulod sa imo sa pagsiling, ‘Ako ang Dios, kag wala na sing iban pa.’ 11Gani magaabot sa imo ang katalagman kag indi ka makahibalo kon paano mo ini matabog sang imo nga madyik. Magaabot sa imo ang kalamidad nga indi mo mabayaran agod mag-untat. Hinali lang nga magaabot sa imo ang kalaglagan nga wala mo ginahunahuna. 12Sige, padayuna ang imo mga madyik kag mga binabaylan nga imo ginahimo halin sang bata ka pa. Basi pa lang magmadinalag-on ka, ukon basi pa lang kulbaan ang imo mga kaaway. 13Ginakapoy ka na sa imo madamo nga mga padihot. Pabuliga sa imo ang imo mga tinawo nga nagatuon parte sa mga bituon kag nagatagna kada bulan sang mga butang nga matabo sa imo. 14Sa pagkamatuod, pareho lang sila sa dagami nga dali lang masunog. Indi gani sila makaluwas sang ila kaugalingon sa kalayo. Indi puwede makapainit-init sa sini nga kalayo, kay puwerte ini kainit. 15Ti ano ang mahimo sang mga tawo nga ginapangayuan mo sang laygay halin sang bata ka pa? Ang kada isa sa ila nagtalang kag indi sila makaluwas sa imo.
1Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: there is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called tender and delicate. 2Take the millstones, and grind meal: uncover thy locks, make bare the leg, uncover the thigh, pass over the rivers. 3Thy nakedness shall be uncovered, yea, thy shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and I will not meet thee as a man. 4As for our redeemer, the LORD of hosts is his name, the Holy One of Israel. 5Sit thou silent, and get thee into darkness, O daughter of the Chaldeans: for thou shalt no more be called, The lady of kingdoms.
6¶ I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst shew them no mercy; upon the ancient hast thou very heavily laid thy yoke.
7¶ And thou saidst, I shall be a lady for ever: so that thou didst not lay these things to thy heart, neither didst remember the latter end of it. 8Therefore hear now this, thou that art given to pleasures, that dwellest carelessly, that sayest in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children: 9But these two things shall come to thee in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood: they shall come upon thee in their perfection for the multitude of thy sorceries, and for the great abundance of thine enchantments.
10¶ For thou hast trusted in thy wickedness: thou hast said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou hast said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me.47.10 perverted…: or, caused thee to turn away
11¶ Therefore shall evil come upon thee; thou shalt not know from whence it riseth: and mischief shall fall upon thee; thou shalt not be able to put it off: and desolation shall come upon thee suddenly, which thou shalt not know.47.11 from…: Heb. the morning thereof47.11 put: Heb. expiate 12Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou hast laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail. 13Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels.
