恆心禱告
1耶穌講了一個比喻來教導門徒要常常禱告，不要灰心。
2祂說：「某城有一位既不敬畏上帝也不尊重人的審判官。 3那城裡有一位寡婦常常來哀求這位審判官，說，『求你為我伸冤，懲辦我的對頭。』 4審判官總是充耳不聞，但後來心裡想，『雖然我不怕上帝，也不在乎人， 5可是這寡婦一直來煩我，還是替她伸冤好了，免得她再來煩我！』」
6主接著說：「你們聽，這不義的審判官尚且這麼說， 7難道上帝聽到祂揀選的人晝夜呼求，不替他們伸冤嗎？難道祂會一直耽延不理嗎？ 8我告訴你們，祂必很快為他們伸冤。不過當人子來的時候，在世上找得到有信心的人嗎？」
兩種禱告
9耶穌對那些自以為義、藐視別人的人講了一個比喻： 10「有兩個人到聖殿裡禱告，一個是法利賽人，一個是稅吏。 11法利賽人站在那裡自言自語地禱告說，『上帝啊！我感謝你，因為我不像別人那樣勒索、不義、通姦，也不像這稅吏。 12我每週禁食兩次，奉獻全部收入的十分之一。』
13「但那稅吏卻遠遠地站著，連頭也不敢抬起來，捶著胸說，『上帝啊，求你憐憫我這個罪人！』
14「我告訴你們，二人回家後，被上帝算為義的是稅吏而不是法利賽人，因為自高的人必遭貶抑，謙卑的人必得尊榮。」
祝福孩子
15有許多人把嬰孩帶來要讓耶穌摸一摸他們，為他們祝福，門徒看見，就責備這些人。 16耶穌卻招呼他們過來，並對門徒說：「讓小孩子到我這裡來，不要阻止他們，因為上帝的國屬於這樣的人。 17我實在告訴你們，人若不像小孩子一樣接受上帝的國，絕不能進去。」
富豪求問永生
18一位官長問耶穌：「良善的老師，我該做什麼才能承受永生？」
19耶穌說：「你為什麼稱呼我『良善的老師』呢？只有上帝是良善的。 20你知道『不可通姦，不可殺人，不可偷盜，不可作偽證，要孝敬父母』這些誡命」。
21那人說：「我從小就遵行這些誡命。」
22耶穌聽了就對他說：「你還有一件事沒有做，就是變賣你所有的產業，分給窮人，你必有財寶存在天上，然後你還要來跟從我。」 23那人聽了，極其憂愁，因為他非常富有。
24耶穌見狀，就說；「有錢人進上帝的國真難啊！ 25駱駝穿過針眼比有錢人進上帝的國還容易呢！」
26聽見的人就問：「這樣，誰能得救呢？」
27耶穌回答說：「對人而言，這不可能，但對上帝而言，凡事都可能。」
28彼得說：「你看！我們已經撇下一切來跟從你了。」
29耶穌說：「我實在告訴你們，任何人為了上帝的國而撇下房屋、妻子、弟兄、父母或兒女， 30今世必得百倍的獎賞，來世必得永生。」
再次預言受害和復活
31耶穌把十二使徒帶到一邊，對他們說：「你們要留意，我們現在前往耶路撒冷，先知書上有關人子的記載都要應驗， 32人子將被交在外族人的手裡，被他們嘲弄、虐待、吐唾沫、 33鞭打和殺害，但第三天祂必復活。」 34使徒卻一點也不明白，因為這番話的含意是隱藏的，他們聽不明白。
治癒耶利哥的瞎子
35耶穌快到耶利哥城的時候，有一個瞎子坐在路旁討飯。 36他聽見許多人經過，就詢問是怎麼回事。 37有人告訴他是拿撒勒人耶穌經過此地， 38他就高聲呼喊：「大衛的後裔耶穌啊，可憐我吧！」
39走在前面的人責備他，讓他安靜，但他反而叫得更大聲：「大衛的後裔啊，可憐我吧！」
40耶穌停下腳步，命人把他帶過來，然後問他： 41「你要我為你做什麼？」
他說：「主啊！我想能夠看見。」
42耶穌對他說：「你看見吧！你的信心救了你。」 43他立刻得見光明，並跟隨耶穌，一路讚美上帝。目睹這事的人也都讚美上帝。
1And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; 2Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: 3And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. 4And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 5Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. 6And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. 7And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? 8I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? 9And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: 10Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. 11The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. 12I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. 13And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. 14I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. 15And they brought unto him also infants, that he would touch them: but when his disciples saw it, they rebuked them. 16But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. 17Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein. 18And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 19And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God. 20Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother. 21And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up. 22Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. 23And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich. 24And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! 25For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. 26And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved? 27And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God. 28Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee. 29And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake, 30Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.
31¶ Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished. 32For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on: 33And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again. 34And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.
35¶ And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging: 36And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant. 37And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by. 38And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. 39And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me. 40And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him, 41Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight. 42And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee. 43And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.
