Empowering a generation
to turn the tide on AIDS
Millions of lives have been cut short by AIDS. The world is just starting to turn a corner on this devastating pandemic. As it does, one tool is empowering students to protect themselves from HIV, with a biblically-based message of abstinence. We're helping kids reach for life instead of death.
Around 3.4 million children live with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. More than 9 in 10 of these children live in sub-Saharan Africa (source: World Health Organization). That’s where Reach4Life began.
Reach4Life was developed by our staff in South Africa as a response to that country’s crippling AIDS crisis. Reach4Life features the entire New Testament, plus 40 small group lessons sharing a biblical message of abstinence as an alternative to risky sexual behavior. Public schools across Africa use Reach4Life, because they’ve found it’s one of the most effective tools for preventing the spread of HIV.
Generation Hope: one million kids and counting
Reach4Life is bringing hope to communities that were once marked by death. Its life-saving message has spread to 10 countries, including Thailand and the Dominican Republic. We’re at work translating Reach 4 Life into 3 more languages.
To date, Reach4Life has empowered more than 1 million children and youth to protect themselves from HIV, using time-tested, biblical principles. They are helping turn the tide on the AIDS pandemic. They are the generation of hope.
