Salmo 146
1Louvem o Senhor!
Ó minha alma, louva o Senhor!
2Louvarei o Senhor enquanto viver!
Sim, durante todo o tempo da minha vida,
cantarei louvores ao meu Deus.
3Não confiem nos grandes chefes,
nem em homem algum;
nenhum deles pode salvar seja quem for.
4Se o seu coração para de bater,
o seu destino é irem para debaixo da terra;
com eles morre, num instante, tudo o que planearam.
5Feliz aquele que é ajudado pelo Deus de Jacob,
cuja esperança está no Senhor, seu Deus.
6Ele fez o céu e a Terra,
os mares e tudo o que neles existe,
e cumpre todas as suas promessas.
7Deus faz justiça aos que vivem oprimidos,
alimenta os que têm fome e liberta os prisioneiros.
8Abre os olhos aos cegos e levanta os abatidos;
o Senhor ama os que seguem a sua justiça.
9Protege os que vivem desterrados das suas pátrias;
ampara os órfãos e as viúvas,
mas frustrará os planos de gente perversa.
10O Senhor dominará para sempre!
O teu Deus, ó Sião, vive por toda a eternidade!

Psalm 146
1Praise the Lord.146:1 Hebrew Hallelu Yah; also in verse 10
Praise the Lord, my soul.
2I will praise the Lord all my life;
I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
3Do not put your trust in princes,
in human beings, who cannot save.
4When their spirit departs, they return to the ground;
on that very day their plans come to nothing.
5Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob,
whose hope is in the Lord their God.
6He is the Maker of heaven and earth,
the sea, and everything in them –
he remains faithful for ever.
7He upholds the cause of the oppressed
and gives food to the hungry.
The Lord sets prisoners free,
8the Lord gives sight to the blind,
the Lord lifts up those who are bowed down,
the Lord loves the righteous.
9The Lord watches over the foreigner
and sustains the fatherless and the widow,
but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.
10The Lord reigns for ever,
your God, O Zion, for all generations.
Praise the Lord.
