Salmo de David.
1Eu te louvarei, meu Deus e meu Rei!
Quero cantar a força do teu nome para sempre!
2Sim, dia após dia, quero louvar-te
e por toda a eternidade
falar de toda a grandeza do teu nome.
3Grande é o Senhor
e inteiramente digno de louvor;
a sua grandeza ultrapassa o nosso entendimento.
4Cada geração conte aos seus descendentes
as maravilhas que o Senhor faz.
5Quero falar da magnífica glória da tua majestade
e meditar nas tuas maravilhas.
6Toda a fama dos teus espantosos milagres
correrá de boca em boca,
assim como toda a tua grandeza.
7Todos falarão da tua bondade
e cantarão a tua justiça.
8Bondoso e misericordioso é o Senhor;
ele é paciente e cheio de amor.
9É bom para todos;
tudo o que faz é consequência do seu amor.
10Tudo o que criaste, Senhor, é motivo
para que aqueles que te pertencem te louvem.
11Para que falem da glória do teu reino,
mencionando os feitos do teu poder.
12Darão a conhecer à humanidade os teus milagres,
a tua majestade e a glória do teu reino.
13O teu reino não tem fim;
o teu domínio estende-se por todas as gerações.
14O Senhor ampara todos os que caem
e levanta os que estão abatidos.
15Os olhos de todos estão postos em ti, Senhor;
tu lhes dás alimento conforme o que precisam.
16Abres a tua generosa mão
e satisfazes os desejos de todo o ser vivo.
17Justo é o Senhor em tudo o que faz;
as suas obras têm a marca da sua bondade.
18O Senhor está perto de todos os que o chamam,
de todos os que o invocam em verdade.
19Realizará os desejos daqueles que o temem;
ouvirá os seus apelos e os salvará.
20O Senhor guarda todos os que o amam,
mas todos os ímpios serão destruídos.
21Louvarei o Senhor, publicamente,
e todos os habitantes da Terra louvarão
a força do seu nome, para sempre!
Psalm 145This psalm is an acrostic poem, the verses of which (including verse 13b) begin with the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet.
A psalm of praise. Of David.
1I will exalt you, my God the King;
I will praise your name for ever and ever.
2Every day I will praise you
and extol your name for ever and ever.
3Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
his greatness no-one can fathom.
4One generation commends your works to another;
they tell of your mighty acts.
5They speak of the glorious splendour of your majesty –

6They tell of the power of your awesome works –
and I will proclaim your great deeds.
7They celebrate your abundant goodness
and joyfully sing of your righteousness.
8The Lord is gracious and compassionate,
slow to anger and rich in love.
9The Lord is good to all;
he has compassion on all he has made.
10All your works praise you, Lord;
your faithful people extol you.
11They tell of the glory of your kingdom
and speak of your might,
12so that all people may know of your mighty acts
and the glorious splendour of your kingdom.
13Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion endures through all generations.
The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises

14The Lord upholds all who fall
and lifts up all who are bowed down.
15The eyes of all look to you,
and you give them their food at the proper time.
16You open your hand
and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
17The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and faithful in all he does.
18The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
19He fulfils the desires of those who fear him;
he hears their cry and saves them.
20The Lord watches over all who love him,
but all the wicked he will destroy.
21My mouth will speak in praise of the Lord.
Let every creature praise his holy name
for ever and ever.
