Os Músicos do Templo
31Estes são os homens a quem Davi encarregou de dirigir os cânticos no templo do Senhor depois que a arca foi levada para lá. 32Eles ministraram o louvor diante do tabernáculo, da Tenda do Encontro, até quando Salomão construiu o templo do Senhor em Jerusalém. Eles exerciam suas funções de acordo com as normas estabelecidas.

48Seus parentes, os outros levitas, foram encarregados de cuidar de todo o serviço do tabernáculo, o templo de Deus. 49Mas eram Arão e seus descendentes que cuidavam dos sacrifícios no altar do holocausto6.49 Isto é, sacrifício totalmente queimado., das ofertas no altar de incenso e de todo o serviço do Lugar Santíssimo, como também dos sacrifícios de propiciação por Israel, conforme tudo o que Moisés, servo de Deus, tinha ordenado.
50Estes foram os descendentes de Arão:
o seu filho Eleazar, pai de Fineias,
que foi o pai de Abisua, 51pai de Buqui,
pai de Uzi, que foi o pai de Zeraías,
52pai de Meraiote, pai de Amarias,
que foi o pai de Aitube,
53pai de Zadoque, pai de Aimaás.
As Cidades dos Levitas
54Estas foram as cidades e as regiões dadas aos levitas para nelas habitarem. Entre os descendentes de Arão, o clã coatita foi sorteado primeiro;
55foi-lhe dada Hebrom, em Judá, com suas pastagens ao redor. 56Mas os campos e os povoados em torno da cidade foram dados a Calebe, filho de Jefoné. 57Assim os descendentes de Arão receberam Hebrom, cidade de refúgio, e Libna, Jatir, Estemoa, 58Hilém, Debir, 59Asã, Jutá6.59 Conforme a Versão Siríaca. O Texto Massorético não traz Jutá. Veja Js 21.16. e Bete-Semes, com suas respectivas pastagens.
60E da tribo de Benjamim receberam Gibeão6.60 O Texto Massorético não traz Gibeão. Veja Js 21.17., Geba, Alemete e Anatote, com suas respectivas pastagens.
Ao todo treze cidades foram distribuídas entre os seus clãs.
61Para os demais descendentes de Coate foram sorteadas dez cidades pertencentes aos clãs da metade da tribo de Manassés.
62Para os descendentes de Gérson, clã por clã, foram sorteadas treze cidades das tribos de Issacar, de Aser e de Naftali, e da metade da tribo de Manassés que fica em Basã.
63Para os descendentes de Merari, clã por clã, foram sorteadas doze cidades das tribos de Rúben, de Gade e de Zebulom.
64Assim os israelitas deram aos levitas essas cidades com suas respectivas pastagens.
65As cidades anteriormente mencionadas dos territórios de Judá, de Simeão e de Benjamim também lhes foram dadas por sorteio.
66Alguns dos clãs coatitas receberam as seguintes cidades no território da tribo de Efraim:
67Siquém, cidade de refúgio nos montes de Efraim, e Gezer, 68Jocmeão, Bete-Horom, 69Aijalom e Gate-Rimom, com suas respectivas pastagens.
70E da metade da tribo de Manassés o restante dos clãs coatitas recebeu Aner e Bileã, com suas respectivas pastagens.
71Os gersonitas receberam as seguintes cidades:
Do clã da metade da tribo de Manassés, Golã, em Basã, e também Asterote, com suas respectivas pastagens;
72da tribo de Issacar, Quedes, Daberate, 73Ramote e Aném, com suas respectivas pastagens;
74da tribo de Aser, Masal, Abdom, 75Hucoque e Reobe, com suas respectivas pastagens;
76e da tribo de Naftali, Quedes, na Galileia, Hamom e Quiriataim, com suas respectivas pastagens.
77E estas foram as cidades que os outros meraritas receberam:
Da tribo de Zebulom, Rimono e Tabor, com suas respectivas pastagens;
78da tribo de Rúben, do outro lado do Jordão, a leste de Jericó, Bezer, no deserto, Jaza, 79Quedemote e Mefaate, com suas respectivas pastagens;
80e da tribo de Gade, Ramote, em Gileade, Maanaim, 81Hesbom e Jazar, com suas respectivas pastagens.

49¶ But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, and were appointed for all the work of the place most holy, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded. 50And these are the sons of Aaron; Eleazar his son, Phinehas his son, Abishua his son, 51Bukki his son, Uzzi his son, Zerahiah his son, 52Meraioth his son, Amariah his son, Ahitub his son, 53Zadok his son, Ahimaaz his son.
54¶ Now these are their dwelling places throughout their castles in their coasts, of the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites: for theirs was the lot. 55And they gave them Hebron in the land of Judah, and the suburbs thereof round about it. 56But the fields of the city, and the villages thereof, they gave to Caleb the son of Jephunneh. 57And to the sons of Aaron they gave the cities of Judah, namely, Hebron, the city of refuge, and Libnah with her suburbs, and Jattir, and Eshtemoa, with their suburbs, 58And Hilen with her suburbs, Debir with her suburbs,6.58 Hilen: or, Holon 59And Ashan with her suburbs, and Beth-shemesh with her suburbs:6.59 Ashan: or, Ain 60And out of the tribe of Benjamin; Geba with her suburbs, and Alemeth with her suburbs, and Anathoth with her suburbs. All their cities throughout their families were thirteen cities.6.60 Alemeth: or, Almon 61And unto the sons of Kohath, which were left of the family of that tribe, were cities given out of the half tribe, namely, out of the half tribe of Manasseh, by lot, ten cities. 62And to the sons of Gershom throughout their families out of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities. 63Unto the sons of Merari were given by lot, throughout their families, out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities. 64And the children of Israel gave to the Levites these cities with their suburbs. 65And they gave by lot out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, and out of the tribe of the children of Benjamin, these cities, which are called by their names. 66And the residue of the families of the sons of Kohath had cities of their coasts out of the tribe of Ephraim. 67And they gave unto them, of the cities of refuge, Shechem in mount Ephraim with her suburbs; they gave also Gezer with her suburbs, 68And Jokmeam with her suburbs, and Beth-horon with her suburbs, 69And Aijalon with her suburbs, and Gath-rimmon with her suburbs: 70And out of the half tribe of Manasseh; Aner with her suburbs, and Bileam with her suburbs, for the family of the remnant of the sons of Kohath. 71Unto the sons of Gershom were given out of the family of the half tribe of Manasseh, Golan in Bashan with her suburbs, and Ashtaroth with her suburbs: 72And out of the tribe of Issachar; Kedesh with her suburbs, Daberath with her suburbs, 73And Ramoth with her suburbs, and Anem with her suburbs: 74And out of the tribe of Asher; Mashal with her suburbs, and Abdon with her suburbs, 75And Hukok with her suburbs, and Rehob with her suburbs: 76And out of the tribe of Naphtali; Kedesh in Galilee with her suburbs, and Hammon with her suburbs, and Kirjathaim with her suburbs. 77Unto the rest of the children of Merari were given out of the tribe of Zebulun, Rimmon with her suburbs, Tabor with her suburbs: 78And on the other side Jordan by Jericho, on the east side of Jordan, were given them out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer in the wilderness with her suburbs, and Jahzah with her suburbs, 79Kedemoth also with her suburbs, and Mephaath with her suburbs: 80And out of the tribe of Gad; Ramoth in Gilead with her suburbs, and Mahanaim with her suburbs, 81And Heshbon with her suburbs, and Jazer with her suburbs.
