Psalmul 30
Un psalm al lui David. O cântare pentru consacrarea Casei.
1Te voi înălța, Doamne, căci m‑ai ridicat
și nu i‑ai lăsat pe dușmanii mei să se bucure de mine.
2Doamne, Dumnezeul meu,
am strigat către Tine după ajutor, și Tu m‑ai vindecat.
3Doamne, Tu mi‑ai ridicat sufletul din Locuința Morților;
m‑ai adus la viață din mijlocul celor ce se coboară în groapă.
4Cântați spre lauda Domnului, voi, credincioșii Lui,
și aduceți mulțumiri în amintirea sfințeniei Lui.
5Căci mânia Lui ține o clipă,
dar îndurarea Lui ține o viață.
Plânsul vine să înnopteze seara,
dar dimineața vine bucuria.
6Când îmi mergea bine, ziceam:
„Nu mă voi clătina niciodată!“
7Doamne, prin bunăvoința Ta
întărisei muntele meu7 Sau: în îndurarea Ta, m‑ai așezat pe un munte sigur.,
dar, când Ți‑ai ascuns fața,
m‑am îngrozit.
8Doamne, către Tine am strigat,
la Stăpânul am căutat bunăvoință, zicând:
9„Ce câștig este de pe urma morții mele,
atunci când mă cobor în groapă?
Poate să Îți mulțumească țărâna,
poate ea să vestească credincioșia Ta?
10Ascultă‑mă, Doamne, și arată‑Ți bunăvoința față de mine!
Doamne, fii ajutorul meu!“
11Iar Tu mi‑ai prefăcut bocetul în dans,
mi‑ai înlăturat sacul de jale și m‑ai încins cu veselie,
12pentru ca sufletul12 Lit.: gloria. meu să cânte spre lauda Ta și să nu tacă.
Doamne, Dumnezeul meu, veșnic Îți voi mulțumi!

1I will extol thee, O LORD; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.
2O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.
3O LORD, thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.

8I cried to thee, O LORD; and unto the LORD I made supplication.
9What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?
10Hear, O LORD, and have mercy upon me: LORD, be thou my helper.
11Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;
12To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.30.12 my glory: that is, my tongue, or, my soul
