Bezalel and Oholiab
1Then the Lord spoke to Moses. 2He said, “I have chosen Bezalel, the son of Uri. Uri is the son of Hur. Bezalel is from the tribe of Judah. 3I have filled him with the Spirit of God. I have filled Bezalel with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skill. 4He can make beautiful patterns in gold, silver and bronze. 5He can cut and set stones. He can work with wood. In fact, he can work in all kinds of crafts. 6I have also appointed Oholiab, the son of Ahisamak, to help him. Oholiab is from the tribe of Dan.
“I have given ability to all the skilled workers. They can make everything I have commanded you to make. Here is the complete list.
7“the tent of meeting
the ark where the tablets of the covenant law are kept
the cover for the ark
8the table for the holy bread and its things
the pure gold lampstand and everything used with it
the altar for burning incense
9the altar for burnt offerings and all its tools
the large bowl with its stand
10the sacred clothes for Aaron the priest and the clothes for his sons when they serve as priests
11the anointing oil
and the sweet-smelling incense for the Holy Room
“The skilled workers must make them just as I commanded you.”
The Sabbath Day
12Then the Lord spoke to Moses. 13He said, “Tell the people of Israel, ‘You must always keep my Sabbath days. That will be the sign of the covenant I have made between me and you for all time to come. Then you will know that I am the Lord. I am the one who makes you holy.
14“ ‘Keep the Sabbath day. It is holy to you. Those who misuse it must be put to death. Those who do any work on that day must be separated from their people. 15Do your work in six days. But the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest. You must rest on it. It is set apart for the Lord. Those who work on the Sabbath day must be put to death. 16The Israelites must keep the Sabbath day. They must celebrate it for all time to come. It will be a covenant that lasts forever. 17It will be the sign of the covenant I have made between me and the Israelites forever. The Lord made the heavens and the earth in six days. But on the seventh day he did not work. He rested.’ ”
18The Lord finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai. Then he gave him the two tablets of the covenant law. They were made out of stone. The words on them were written by the finger of God.
Bezalel e Aoliabe
(Êx 35.30–36.1)
1Disse também o Senhor a Moisés: 2“Toma nota de que chamei Bezalel, filho de Uri e neto de Hur, da tribo de Judá, 3e que o enchi com o Espírito de Deus, dando-lhe sabedoria, capacidade e conhecimentos para todos os trabalhos. 4Ele está pois altamente dotado como artista desenhador de todas as peças feitas em ouro, prata e bronze. 5Está igualmente capacitado para trabalhar como joalheiro e escultor de madeira. 6Também nomeei Aoliabe, filho de Aisamaque, da tribo de Dan, para que seja seu assistente. Além disso, tenho dado especial sabedoria a todos os que são conhecidos como peritos na construção de tudo o que te indiquei para fazer, 7ou seja:
a tenda do encontro;
a arca do testemunho com o propiciatório sobre ela;
todo o mobiliário do tabernáculo;
8a mesa com os seus utensílios;
o candelabro de ouro puro e os seus utensílios;
o altar de incenso;
9o altar dos holocaustos com os seus instrumentos;
a bacia com o seu pedestal;
10o vestuário litúrgico e os santos paramentos para o sacerdócio de Aarão, assim como para os seus filhos, para que possam servir-me nesse santo ministério como sacerdotes;
11o óleo de unção; o incenso aromático para o lugar santo.
Deverão seguir rigorosamente as diretivas que te dei.”
O sábado
12Então o Senhor deu-lhe mais instruções: 13“Diz ao povo de Israel que descanse no meu dia de sábado, porque o sábado é um sinal para que se lembrem da aliança que existe entre mim e vocês, nas vossas gerações. É uma forma de vos ajudar a lembrarem-se de que eu sou o Senhor que vos santifica.
14Sim, repousem no sábado porque é um dia santo. Quem não obedecer a este mandamento deverá morrer. Seja quem for que fizer qualquer trabalho nesse dia deverá ser morto. 15Trabalhem somente seis dias, porque o sétimo é um dia especial de solene repouso, sagrado para o Senhor. Quem trabalhar no dia de repouso será condenado à morte. 16Esta lei é uma aliança perpétua e uma obrigação para o povo de Israel. 17Será um símbolo eterno da aliança que existe entre mim e o povo de Israel. Porque também em seis dias fez o Senhor os céus e a Terra, e no sétimo dia parou e descansou.”
18Tendo Deus acabado de falar com Moisés no monte Sinai, deu-lhe as duas placas de pedra em que estavam os dez mandamentos, escritos com o dedo de Deus.
