Yakobo Akutana Na Esau
133:1 Mwa 32:6Yakobo akainua macho akamwona Esau akija na watu wake 400, kwa hiyo akawagawanya watoto kati ya Lea, Raheli na wale watumishi wake wawili wa kike. 2Akawaweka wale watumishi wa kike na watoto wao mbele, Lea na watoto wake wakafuata, Raheli na Yosefu wakaja nyuma. 333:3 Mwa 42:6Yeye mwenyewe akatangulia mbele na kusujudu mara saba alipomkaribia ndugu yake.
4Lakini Esau akamkimbilia Yakobo kumlaki na kumkumbatia, akamwangukia shingoni na kumbusu. Nao wakalia. 533:5 Za 127:3; Isa 8:18Esau akainua macho akawaona wale wanawake na watoto. Akauliza, “Hawa uliofuatana nao ni nani?”
Yakobo akamjibu, “Ni watoto ambao Mungu amempa mtumishi wako kwa neema.”
6Kisha wale watumishi wa kike na watoto wao wakakaribia na kusujudu. 7Kisha Lea na watoto wake wakaja na kusujudu. Mwisho wa wote wakaja Yosefu na Raheli, nao pia wakasujudu.
833:8 Mwa 24:9; 32:14-16Esau akauliza, “Una maana gani kuhusu makundi hayo yote niliyokutana nayo?”
Akasema, “Ni ili kupata kibali machoni pako, bwana wangu.”
933:9 Mwa 13:6Lakini Esau akamwambia, “Ndugu yangu, tayari nina wingi wa mali. Ulivyo navyo viwe vyako mwenyewe.”
1033:10 Mwa 16:13Yakobo akasema, “La hasha! Tafadhali, kama nimepata kibali machoni pako, upokee zawadi hii kutoka kwangu. Kwa maana kuuona uso wako, ni kama kuuona uso wa Mungu, kwa kuwa umenipokea kwa takabali kubwa. 1133:11 1Sam 25:27Tafadhali ukubali zawadi iliyoletwa kwako, kwa kuwa Mungu amenineemesha na ninavyo vyote ninavyohitaji.” Kwa sababu Yakobo alisisitiza, Esau akapokea.
12Ndipo Esau akasema, “Na tuendelee na safari, nitakuwa pamoja nawe.”
1333:13 Isa 40:11Lakini Yakobo akamwambia, “Bwana wangu unajua kwamba watoto ni wachanga na kwamba ni lazima nitunze hawa kondoo wake na ngʼombe wanaonyonyesha. Wakipelekwa kwa haraka hata kama ni kwa siku moja tu, wanyama wote watakufa. 1433:14 Kut 12:38Hivyo bwana wangu umtangulie mtumishi wako, wakati mimi nikija polepole kwa mwendo wa makundi yaliyo mbele yangu na mwendo wa watoto, mpaka nifike kwa bwana wangu huko Seiri.”
1533:15 Mwa 32:5Esau akamwambia, “Basi na niwaache baadhi ya watu wangu pamoja nawe.”
Yakobo akauliza, “Lakini kwa nini ufanye hivyo, niache tu nipate kibali machoni pa bwana wangu.”
1633:16 Mwa 14:6Hivyo siku hiyo Esau akashika njia akarudi Seiri. 1733:17 Amu 8:5, 6, 8, 14-16Pamoja na hayo, Yakobo akaenda Sukothi,33:17 Sukothi maana yake Vibanda. mahali alipojijengea makazi kwa ajili yake na mabanda kwa ajili ya mifugo yake. Hii ndiyo sababu sehemu ile inaitwa Sukothi.

1And Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau came, and with him four hundred men. What is all this band to thee? 9And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that thou hast unto thyself.33.9 keep…: Heb. be that to thee that is thine 10And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me. 11Take, I pray thee, my blessing that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.33.11 enough: Heb. all things 12And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before thee. 13And he said unto him, My lord knoweth that the children are tender, and the flocks and herds with young are with me: and if men should overdrive them one day, all the flock will die. 14Let my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servant: and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goeth before me and the children be able to endure, until I come unto my lord unto Seir.33.14 according…: Heb. according to the foot of the work, etc., and according to the foot of the children 15And Esau said, Let me now leave with thee some of the folk that are with me. 16¶ So Esau returned that day on his way unto Seir. 17And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built him an house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.33.17 Succoth: that is, Booths
18¶ And Jacob came to Shalem, a city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Padan-aram; and pitched his tent before the city.33.18 Shechem: Gr. Sychem 19And he bought a parcel of a field, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem’s father, for an hundred pieces of money.33.19 Hamor: Gr.
