1በቴቁሔ ከነበሩት እረኞች መካከል አንዱ የሆነው አሞጽ፣ ዖዝያን የይሁዳ ንጉሥ በነበረ ጊዜ እንዲሁም የዮአስ1፥1 ዕብራይስጡ ዮአስ ያለው የኢዮአስ ተለዋጭ ስም ሳይሆን አይቀርም። ልጅ ኢዮርብዓም የእስራኤል ንጉሥ በነበረ ጊዜ፣ ይኸውም የምድር መናወጥ ከመሆኑ ከሁለት ዓመት በፊት ስለ እስራኤል ያየውና የተናገረው ቃል ይህ ነው፤
2እርሱም እንዲህ አለ፤
“እግዚአብሔር ከጽዮን ድምፁን ከፍ አድርጎ ያሰማል፤
ከኢየሩሳሌምም ያንጐደጕዳል፤
የእረኞች ማሰማሪያዎች ደርቀዋል1፥2 ወይም የእረኞች ሐዘን፤
የቀርሜሎስም ዐናት ጠውልጓል።”
በእስራኤል ጎረቤቶች ላይ የተሰጠ ፍርድ
3እግዚአብሔር እንዲህ ይላል፤
“ስለ ሦስቱ የደማስቆ ኀጢአት፣
ይልቁንም ስለ አራቱ፣ ቍጣዬን አልመልስም፤
የብረት ጥርስ ባለው ማሄጃ፣
ገለዓድን አሂዳለችና፤
4የወልደ አዴርን ምሽጎች እንዲበላ፣
በአዛሄል ቤት ላይ እሳት እሰድዳለሁ።
5የደማስቆን በሮች እሰባብራለሁ፤
በቤት ዔደን በትር የያዘውን፣
በአዌን1፥5 አዌን የቃሉ ትርጕም ክፋት እንደ ማለት ነው። ሸለቆ ያለውን ንጉሥ1፥5 ወይም ነዋሪዎች እደመስሳለሁ፤
የሶርያም ሕዝብ ተማርኮ ወደ ቂር ይሄዳል”
ይላል እግዚአብሔር።
6እግዚአብሔር እንዲህ ይላል፤
“ስለ ሦስቱ የጋዛ ኀጢአት፣
ይልቁንም ስለ አራቱ፣ ቍጣዬን አልመልስም፤
ሕዝቡን ሁሉ ማርካ በመውሰድ፣
ለኤዶም ሸጣለችና።
7ምሽጎቿን እንዲበላ፣
በጋዛ ቅጥሮች ላይ እሳት እሰድዳለሁ።
8በአስቀሎና በትር የያዘውን፣
የአሽዶድንም ንጉሥ1፥8 ወይም ነዋሪዎች እደመስሳለሁ፤ በፍልስጥኤም ካሉት የመጨረሻው ሰው
እስኪሞት ድረስ፣
እጄን በአቃሮን ላይ እዘረጋለሁ፤”
ይላል ጌታ እግዚአብሔር።
9እግዚአብሔር እንዲህ ይላል፤
“ስለ ሦስቱ የጢሮስ ኀጢአት፣
ይልቁንም ስለ አራቱ፣ ቍጣዬን አልመልስም።
የወንድማማችነትን ቃል ኪዳን በማፍረስ፣
ሕዝቡን ሁሉ ማርካ ለኤዶም ሸጣለችና።
10ምሽጎቿን እንዲበላ፣
በጢሮስ ቅጥሮች ላይ እሳት እሰድዳለሁ።”
11እግዚአብሔር እንዲህ ይላል፤
“ስለ ሦስቱ የኤዶም ኀጢአት፣
ይልቁንም ስለ አራቱ፣ ቍጣዬን አልመልስም፤
ርኅራኄን1፥11 ወይም ሰይፍ ወይም ከእርሱ ጋር የተባበሩትን አጠፉ በመንፈግ፣
ወንድሙን በሰይፍ አሳድዶታልና፤
የቍጣውንም ነበልባል ሳይገድብ፣
መዓቱን ሳያቋርጥ አውርዶበታልና፤
12የባሶራን ምሽጎች እንዲበላ፣
በቴማን ቅጥሮች ላይ እሳት እሰድዳለሁ።”
13እግዚአብሔር እንዲህ ይላል፤
“ስለ ሦስቱ የአሞን ኀጢአት፣
ይልቁንም ስለ አራቱ፣ ቍጣዬን አልመልስም፤
ድንበሩን ለማስፋት፣
የገለዓድን ነፍሰ ጡር ሴቶች ሆድ ቀድዷልና።
14በጦርነት ቀን በጩኸት ውስጥ፣
በማዕበል ቀን በዐውሎ ነፋስ ውስጥ፣
ምሽጎቿን እንዲበላ፣
በረባት ቅጥሮች ላይ እሳት እሰድዳለሁ።
15ንጉሧ1፥15 ወይም ሞሎክ በዕብራይስጡ ማልካም ይላል። ከሹማምቱ ጋር፣
በአንድነት ተማርኮ ይሄዳል፣”
ይላል እግዚአብሔር።

3This is what the Lord says:
“For three sins of Damascus,
even for four, I will not relent.
Because she threshed Gilead
with sledges having iron teeth,
4I will send fire on the house of Hazael
that will consume the fortresses of Ben-Hadad.
5I will break down the gate of Damascus;
I will destroy the king who is in1:5 Or the inhabitants of the Valley of Aven1:5 Aven means wickedness.
and the one who holds the scepter in Beth Eden.
The people of Aram will go into exile to Kir,”
says the Lord.
6This is what the Lord says:
“For three sins of Gaza,
even for four, I will not relent.
Because she took captive whole communities
and sold them to Edom,
7I will send fire on the walls of Gaza
that will consume her fortresses.
8I will destroy the king1:8 Or inhabitants of Ashdod
and the one who holds the scepter in Ashkelon.
I will turn my hand against Ekron,
till the last of the Philistines are dead,”
says the Sovereign Lord.
9This is what the Lord says:
“For three sins of Tyre,
even for four, I will not relent.
Because she sold whole communities of captives to Edom,
disregarding a treaty of brotherhood,
10I will send fire on the walls of Tyre
that will consume her fortresses.”
11This is what the Lord says:
“For three sins of Edom,
even for four, I will not relent.
Because he pursued his brother with a sword
and slaughtered the women of the land,
because his anger raged continually
and his fury flamed unchecked,
12I will send fire on Teman
that will consume the fortresses of Bozrah.”
13This is what the Lord says:
“For three sins of Ammon,
even for four, I will not relent.
Because he ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead
in order to extend his borders,
14I will set fire to the walls of Rabbah
that will consume her fortresses
amid war cries on the day of battle,
amid violent winds on a stormy day.
15Her king1:15 Or / Molek will go into exile,
he and his officials together,”
says the Lord.
