1Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O LORD.70.1 to help…: Heb. to my help
2Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.
3Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.
4Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.
5But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying.

2O Dieu, délivre-moi,
Eternel, hâte-toi ╵de venir à mon aide70.2 Pour les v. 14-18, voir 70.2-6. !
3Qu’ils soient couverts de honte, ╵remplis de confusion,
ceux qui cherchent ma mort !
Qu’ils battent en retraite, ╵qu’ils soient déshonorés,
ceux qui désirent mon malheur !
4Qu’ils tournent les talons ╵sous le poids de la honte,
ceux qui ricanent ╵à mon sujet.
5Mais que tous ceux ╵qui se tournent vers toi
soient débordants de joie, ╵oui, qu’en toi ils se réjouissent.
Et que tous ceux ╵qui aiment ton salut
redisent constamment : ╵« Que Dieu est grand ! »
6Moi, je suis pauvre et malheureux ;
ô Dieu, viens vite agir en ma faveur,
toi qui es mon secours ╵et mon libérateur.
Eternel, oh, ne tarde pas !
