Împărăția dreptății
1Iată, un rege va domni cu dreptate
și niște conducători vor stăpâni drept.
2Fiecare om va fi atunci ca un adăpost împotriva vântului
și ca un refugiu în fața furtunii,
ca niște pâraie de apă într‑un loc uscat
și ca umbra unei stânci mari într‑un ținut ostenit.
3Atunci ochii celor ce văd nu vor mai fi încețoșați,
iar urechile celor ce aud vor lua aminte.
4Inima celor pripiți va judeca sănătos,
iar limba celor bâlbâiți va vorbi repede și clar.
5Nebunul nu va mai fi numit ales la suflet
și ticălosului nu i se va mai spune că este distins.
6Căci nebunul spune nebunii
și inima lui se gândește la nelegiuire:
este lipsit de evlavie
și spune neadevăruri cu privire la Domnul;
îl lasă fără hrană pe cel flămând
și fără apă pe cel însetat.
7Mijloacele celui ticălos sunt rele;
el face planuri mișelești
pentru a‑l distruge pe cel sărac cu minciuni,
chiar și atunci când cauza nevoiașului este dreaptă.
8Dar cel nobil plănuiește lucruri nobile
și prin lucruri nobile va sta drept.
9Femei fără grijă, ridicați‑vă
și ascultați glasul meu!
Fiice încrezătoare,
luați aminte la vorbirea mea!
10Într‑un an și câteva zile
vă veți înfiora, încrezătoarelor!
Căci culesul viilor se va opri,
culesul fructelor va înceta să mai vină.
11Tremurați, femei pline de liniște!
Înfiorați‑vă, fiice încrezătoare!
Dezbrăcați‑vă! Aruncați‑vă hainele
și încingeți‑vă coapsele cu haine de jale!
12Bateți‑vă peste piept și plângeți
pentru câmpurile plăcute,
pentru vița roditoare
13și pentru pământul poporului meu
pe care cresc spini și mărăcini!
Plângeți pentru toate casele de petrecere
și pentru această cetate plină de bucurie!
14Căci fortăreața va fi abandonată,
cetatea zgomotoasă va fi părăsită,
citadela și turnul de veghe
vor deveni vizuini pe vecie,
o bucurie pentru măgarii sălbatici
și o pășune pentru turme,
15până va fi turnat peste noi Duhul de sus
și pustia va deveni o livadă,
iar livada va fi considerată drept o pădure.
16Atunci judecata va sălășlui în pustie,
și dreptatea va locui în livadă.
17Rodul dreptății va fi pacea,
iar urmările dreptății vor fi liniștea și siguranța pe vecie.
18Poporul meu va locui într‑o locuință a păcii,
în lăcașuri sigure
și în locuri de odihnă liniștite.
19Chiar dacă pădurea va cădea sub grindină
și cetatea va fi făcută una cu pământul,
20ferice de voi care semănați de‑a lungul oricărei ape,
care lăsați boul și măgarul să pască liberi.
