1The burden of Tyre. 15And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot.23.15 shall Tyre…: Heb. it shall be unto Tyre as the song of an harlot 16Take an harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered.
17¶ And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth. 18And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.23.18 durable: Heb. old
Ang Mensahe tungkol sa Tyre at Sidon
1Ang mensaheng itoʼy tungkol sa Tyre:
Umiyak kayong mga pasahero ng mga barko ng Tarshish. Sapagkat nawasak na ang inyong daungan sa Tyre. Sinabi na iyon sa inyo ng mga nanggaling sa Cyprus.23:1 Cyprus: sa Hebreo, Kitim. 2Tumahimik kayong mga naninirahan sa tabing-dagat pati na kayong mga mangangalakal ng Sidon. Ang inyong mga biyahero na nagpayaman sa inyo ay bumibiyahe 3sa mga karagatan para bumili at magbenta ng mga ani mula sa Shihor na bahagi ng Ilog ng Nilo. At nakikipagkalakalan sa inyo ang mga bansa. 4Mahiya ka, lungsod ng Sidon, ikaw na kanlungan ng mga taong nakatira sa tabing-dagat. Itinatakwil ka na ng karagatan. Sinabi niya, “Wala na akong anak; wala akong inalagaang anak, babae man o lalaki.”
5Labis na magdaramdam ang mga taga-Egipto kapag nabalitaan nila ang nangyari sa Tyre. 6Umiyak kayo, kayong mga naninirahan sa tabing-dagat. Tumawid kayo sa Tarshish. 7Noon, masaya ang lungsod ng Tyre na itinayo noong unang panahon. Nakaabot ang mga mamamayan nito sa malalayong lupain at sinakop nila ang mga lupaing iyon. Pero ano ang nangyari sa kanya ngayon? 8Sino ang nagplano ng ganito sa Tyre? Ang lungsod na ito ay sumakop ng mga lugar. Ang mararangal na mangangalakal nito ay tanyag sa buong mundo. 9Ang Panginoong Makapangyarihan ang nagplano nito para ibagsak ang nagmamalaki ng kanyang kapangyarihan at ang mga kinikilalang tanyag sa mundo. 10Kayong mga taga-Tarshish ay malayang dumaan sa Tyre, katulad ng Ilog ng Nilo na malayang dumadaloy, dahil wala nang pipigil sa inyo. 11Iniunat ng Panginoon ang kanyang kamay sa dagat, at niyanig niya ang mga kaharian. Iniutos niyang wasakin ang mga kampo ng Fenicia23:11 Fenicia: sa Hebreo, Canaan. 12Sinabi ng Panginoon, “Mga mamamayan23:12 mamamayan: sa literal, birheng anak na babae. ng Sidon, tapos na ang maliligayang araw ninyo. Wasak na kayo! Kahit na tumakas kayo papuntang Cyprus, hindi pa rin kayo magkakaroon ng kapahingahan doon.”
13Tingnan ninyo ang lupain ng mga taga-Babilonia.23:13 taga-Babilonia: sa literal, Caldeo. Isa ito sa tawag sa mga taga-Babilonia. Nasaan na ang mga mamamayan nito? Sinalakay ito ng Asiria at winasak ang matitibay na bahagi nito. Pinabayaan itong giba at naging tirahan ng maiilap na hayop. 14Umiyak kayo, kayong mga nagbibiyahe sa Tarshish, dahil nawasak na ang lungsod na pinupuntahan ninyo. 15Ang Tyre ay makakalimutan sa loob ng 70 taon, kasintagal ng buhay ng isang hari. Pero pagkatapos ng panahong iyon, matutulad siya sa isang babaeng bayaran sa awiting ito: “Babaeng bayaran, ikaw ay nalimutan na. 16Kaya kunin mo ang iyong alpa at tugtugin mong mabuti habang nililibot mo ang lungsod. Umawit ka nang umawit para maalala ka.”
17Pagkatapos ng 70 taon, aalalahanin ng Panginoon ang Tyre. Pero muling gagawin ng Tyre ang ginawa niya noon, na katulad ng ginawa ng babaeng bayaran. Gagawa siya ng masama sa lahat ng kaharian ng mundo para magkapera. 18Pero sa bandang huli, ang kikitain niyaʼy hindi niya itatabi. Ihahandog niya ito sa Panginoon para pambili ng maraming pagkain at magagandang klase ng damit para sa mga naglilingkod sa Panginoon.
