7Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou makest thy flock to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions?1.7 as one…: or, as one that is veiled
8¶ If thou know not, O thou fairest among women, go thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock, and feed thy kids beside the shepherds’ tents. 9I have compared thee, O my love, to a company of horses in Pharaoh’s chariots. 10Thy cheeks are comely with rows of jewels, thy neck with chains of gold. 11We will make thee borders of gold with studs of silver.
12¶ While the king sitteth at his table, my spikenard sendeth forth the smell thereof. 13A bundle of myrrh is my wellbeloved unto me; he shall lie all night betwixt my breasts. 14My beloved is unto me as a cluster of camphire in the vineyards of En-gedi.1.14 camphire: or, cypress 15Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves’ eyes.1.15 my love: or, my companion 16Behold, thou art fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant: also our bed is green. 17The beams of our house are cedar, and our rafters of fir.1.17 rafters: or, galleries

2Paliguan mo ako ng iyong mga halik. Pagkat mas matamis pa kaysa katas ng ubas ang iyong pag-ibig. 3Kay sarap amuyin ng iyong pabango, at ang ganda ng pangalan mo, kaya hindi kataka-takang mga dalagaʼy napapaibig sa iyo. 4Sige na, O aking hari, dalhin mo ako sa iyong silid.
Mga Babae ng Jerusalem
Sa piling mo,1:4 Sa piling mo: Ang ibig sabihin, sa piling ng lalaki. kami ay maligaya. Mas gusto pa namin ang pag-ibig mo kaysa anumang inumin.
Babae
Tama lang na umibig sila sa iyo! 5O mga babaeng taga-Jerusalem, maitim nga ako gaya ng mga tolda sa Kedar, pero maganda naman tulad ng kurtina sa palasyo ni Solomon. 6Huwag ninyo akong hamakin1:6 hamakin: o, tingnan. dahil sa kulay ng aking balat. Maitim nga pagkat nabibilad sa init ng araw. Nagalit sa akin ang mga kapatid kong lalaki, at doon sa ubasan akoʼy pinagtrabaho nila. Dahil ditoʼy napabayaan ko ang sarili ko.1:6 ang sarili ko: sa literal, ang sarili kong ubasan.
7Mahal, sabihin mo sa akin kung saan ka nagpapastol ng iyong mga tupa. Saan mo sila pinagpapahinga tuwing tanghali? Sabihin mo sa akin para hindi na ako maghanap pa sa iyo doon sa iyong mga kaibigan na nagpapastol din ng tupa. Dahil baka akoʼy mapagkamalan na isang babaeng bayaran.
Lalaki
8Kung hindi mo alam, O babaeng ubod ng ganda, sundan ang bakas ng aking mga tupa. Papunta ito sa tolda ng mga pastol, at mga kambing moʼy doon mo na rin ipastol. 9O irog ko, tulad moʼy isang babaeng kabayo na nagustuhan ng lalaking kabayo na humihila ng karwahe ng hari ng Egipto.1:9 hari ng Egipto: sa Hebreo, Faraon. 10Napakaganda ng iyong mga pisngi, na lalong pinaganda ng mga hiyas. O anong ganda rin ng leeg mong sinuotan ng kwintas. 11Ikaʼy igagawa namin ng alahas na yari sa mga ginto at pilak.
Babae
12Habang ang hariʼy nasa kanyang mesa, pabango koʼy humahalimuyak. 13Parang samyo ng mira ang bango ng aking iniibig, habang sa aking dibdib siya ay nakahilig. 14Ang mahal koʼy tulad ng kumpol ng mga bulaklak na henna, na namumulaklak doon sa ubasan ng En Gedi.1:14 En Gedi: Isang lugar sa disyerto kung saan may tubig at halaman. Lalaki
15Napakaganda mo, aking giliw. Mga mata moʼy kasing pungay ng mga mata ng kalapati.
Babae
16Kay kisig mo, mahal ko. Napakaganda mong pagmasdan habang tayo ay nakahiga sa mga damo, 17sa lilim ng mga punong sipres at sedro.
