1I saw the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered.9.1 lintel: or, chapiter, or, knop9.1 cut…: or, wound them 2Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down: 3And though they hide themselves in the top of Carmel, I will search and take them out thence; and though they be hid from my sight in the bottom of the sea, thence will I command the serpent, and he shall bite them: 4And though they go into captivity before their enemies, thence will I command the sword, and it shall slay them: and I will set mine eyes upon them for evil, and not for good. 5And the Lord GOD of hosts is he that toucheth the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a flood; and shall be drowned, as by the flood of Egypt. 6It is he that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded his troop in the earth; he that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: The LORD is his name.9.6 stories: or, spheres: Heb. ascensions9.6 troop: or, bundle 7Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir? 8Behold, the eyes of the Lord GOD are upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will not utterly destroy the house of Jacob, saith the LORD. 9For, lo, I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, like as corn is sifted in a sieve, yet shall not the least grain fall upon the earth.9.9 sift: Heb. cause to move9.9 grain: Heb. stone 10All the sinners of my people shall die by the sword, which say, The evil shall not overtake nor prevent us.
11¶ In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:9.11 close: Heb. hedge, or, wall 12That they may possess the remnant of Edom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name, saith the LORD that doeth this.9.12 which…: Heb. upon whom my name is called 13Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.9.13 soweth: Heb. draweth forth9.13 sweet: or, new 14And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. 15And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.
Wala sing may Makapalagyo sa Silot sang Dios
1Nagsiling si Amos, “Nakita ko ang Ginoo nga nagatindog sa may halaran kag nagsiling siya, ‘Lampusi ang ulo-ulo sang mga haligi sang templo agod marumpag ang atop9:1 marumpag ang atop: ukon, matay-og ang pundasyon. kag mahulugan ang mga tawo. Ang indi mapatay sa ila patyon ko sa inaway. Wala sing bisan isa sa ila nga makalikaw ukon makapalagyo. 2Bisan magpanago pa sila sa idalom sang duta, didto sa lugar sang mga patay, kuhaon ko sila didto. Bisan magsaka pa sila sa kalangitan, butungon ko sila paidalom. 3Bisan magpanago pa sila sa putokputokan sang Bukid sang Carmel, pangitaon ko sila didto kag dakpon. Bisan magpanago pa sila sa idalom sang dagat, suguon ko ang man-og didto sa pagkagat sa ila. 4Bisan bihagon pa sila sang ila mga kaaway, ipapatay ko gihapon sila. Kay determinado gid ako nga laglagon sila kag indi nga buligan.’ ”
5Nagsiling pa si Amos, “Kon tandugon sang Ginoong Dios nga Makagagahom ang duta, nagauyog9:5 nagauyog: ukon, nagakatunaw. ini kag ang tanan nga pumuluyo sini nagahinibi. Ang pag-uyog sini pareho sang pag-awas kag paghubas sang Suba sang Nilo sa Egipto.
6Ang Dios ang naghimo sang iya kaugalingon nga elistaran sa langit.
Kag siya ang naghimo sang kahawaan sa ibabaw sang duta.
Siya ang nagatipon sang tubig sang dagat sa mga panganod kag ginapaulan niya ini sa duta.
Ang iya ngalan amo ang Ginoo.”
7Nagsiling ang Ginoo, “Ang pagtulok ko sa inyo nga mga taga-Israel pareho lang sa mga taga-Etiopia.9:7 taga-Etiopia: sa Hebreo, taga-Cush. Matuod nga ginpaguwa ko kamo sa Egipto, pero ginpaguwa ko man ang mga Filistinhon sa Caftor9:7 Caftor: ukon, Crete. kag ang mga Arameanhon9:7 Arameanhon: ukon, Syrianhon. sa Kir. 8Ako, ang Ginoong Dios, nagapanilag sa inyo malaot nga ginharian. Kag laglagon ko kamo hasta nga madula kamo sa kalibutan. Pero may mabilin sa inyo nga mga kaliwat ni Jacob. Ako, ang Ginoo, ang nagasiling sini. 9Tan-awa! Magamando na ako; pagaayagon ko kamo nga katawhan sang Israel kaupod sang tanan nga nasyon, pareho sang pag-ayag sang uyas. Subong nga ang mga bato-bato indi makalusot sa ayagan, 10ang mga malaot sa inyo indi man makalusot sa akon silot kundi mapatay sila tanan sa inaway. Amo ini sila ang nagasiling nga wala kuno sing malain nga magaabot sa ila.”
Patindugon Liwat ang Israel
11“Magaabot ang adlaw nga patindugon ko liwat ang ginharian ni David nga pareho sang payag nga nawasak. Kay-uhon ko ini sa iya nga pagkaguba, kag patindugon ko ini liwat nga pareho sang una, 12agod masakop sang mga Israelinhon ang nabilin nga duta sang Edom kag ang iban pa nga mga nasyon nga ginakabig ko nga akon. Ako, ang Ginoo, ang nagasiling sini, kag himuon ko ini nga mga butang.”
13Nagsiling pa gid ang Ginoo parte sa mga taga-Israel, “Magaabot ang tion nga mangin bugana gid ang ila mga patubas, sa bagay nga ang ila pag-ani indi pa matapos hasta sa tion sang pag-arado. Kag ang ila pagpuga sang ubas indi pa matapos hasta sa tion sang pagtanom naman sang ubas.9:13 Sa Israel, ang tion sang tig-alani sang trigo amo ang Abril kag Mayo, kag ang tigtalanom sini amo ang Oktobre kag Nobyembre. Ang tion sang pagpuga sang mga ubas, nga para himuon nga bino, amo ang Setyembre, kag ang tigtalanom naman sang ubas amo ang Nobyembre kag Disyembre. Kon tan-awon ang puwerte kadamo nga mga ubas sa mga bukid daw sa nagailig ini nga bag-o nga bino. 14Pabalikon ko ang akon katawhan nga mga taga-Israel sa ila duta halin sa pagkabihag.9:14 Pabalikon… pagkabihag: ukon, Ibalik ko ang maayo nga kahimtangan sang akon katawhan nga mga taga-Israel. Patindugon nila liwat ang naguba nila nga mga banwa kag didto na sila maestar. Magatanom sila sang mga ubas kag magainom sang bino sini. Magatanom sila sa ila mga talamnan kag magakaon sang mga bunga sini. 15Paestaron ko sila liwat sa ila duta, kag indi na sila pagpahalinon liwat sa duta nga ginhatag ko sa ila.” Amo ini ang ginsiling sang Ginoo nga inyo Dios.
