1ああ主よ、お怒りのままに私を罰しないでください。
2あなたの矢は深く突き刺さり、
私は容赦なく打たれて、圧倒されました。
3-4御怒りにふれて病気となり、
罪のために健康を害したのです。
罪は洪水のように頭上を越えました。
もう、自分では負いきれない重荷です。
5-6傷口はただれ、うみがあふれています。
罪の重さに、身をかがめて苦しみもだえています。
昼も夜も苦痛に満ち、
7腰は焼けつくように痛く、
全身が病み疲れているのです。
8私は精根尽き果て、絶望してうめくのみです。
9主よ。
私がどれほど健康な体に戻りたいと思っているか、
あなたはご存じです。
私のため息は一つ残らずお耳に達したはずです。
10動悸は激しく、体力は消耗し、
目も見えなくなりつつあります。
11愛する者や友人たちは、
私の病気を怖がって近寄ってくれず、
家族の者さえ遠巻きにしています。
12敵は、このいのちをつけねらい、
目覚めている間中、策略を練っているのです。
13-14しかし私は、
彼らが脅す声を聞かないようにしています。
口がきけない人のように、黙りこんでいます。
15主に望みを託しているからです。
ああ主よ、早く来て、私を守ってください。
16それ見ろと言わんばかりに、失意の私を眺める
あの高慢な者どもにとどめを刺してください。
17いつまで私は危険な崖っぷちに
立っていなければならないのでしょう。
悲しみの原因である罪が、
四六時中、私を見すえています。
18私は罪を告白します。
どうか、今までの行いを赦してください。
19しかし、敵は私を憎み、激しく苦しめます。
私には少しも身に覚えがありませんのに。
20あの者どもは悪をもって善に報い、
正義を掲げる私を憎むのです。
21ああ主よ、私を置き去りにしないでください。
22私を救ってくださる主よ、
急いで来てお助けください。

1O LORD, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
2For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.
3There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.38.3 rest: Heb. peace, or, health
4For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
5My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.

7For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.
8I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.
9Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.

13But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.
14Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.
