1Почему Всемогущий не назначит время для суда?
Почему те, кто знает Его, этих дней ожидают тщетно?
2Злые люди передвигают межи,
пасут украденные стада;
3у сироты угоняют осла
и вола у вдовы отнимают в залог;
4с дороги сталкивают бедняка,
и должны скрываться все страдальцы земли.
5Словно дикие ослы в пустыне,
выходят на свой труд бедные,
разыскивая в степи
пищу себе и детям своим.
6Жнут они не на своих полях
и виноград собирают для нечестивых.
7Не имея одежды, ночуют нагими –
нечем им от стужи прикрыться.
8Секут их в горах дожди;
льнут они к скалам, ища приюта.
9От груди отнимается сирота,
и младенцев у бедных берут в залог.
10Не имея одежды, ходят они нагими;
нося снопы, остаются голодными.
11Меж двух камней давят они масло из оливок;
топчут в давильне виноград, но страдают от жажды.
12Стонут в городе умирающие,
и зовут на помощь уста израненных,
но Аллах не замечает несправедливости.
13Есть те, кто восстают против света;
они не знают путей его
и не ходят по ним.
14Меркнет день, и встаёт убийца,
чтобы убить бедняка и нищего;
он крадётся в ночи, как вор.
15Ждёт сумерек око распутника;
он думает: «Ничьи глаза меня не увидят» –
и закутывает лицо.
16В темноте они вламываются в дома,
а днём запираются у себя;
свет им неведом.
17Непроглядная тьма – их утро;
и отрадны им ужасы кромешной тьмы.
18Но они лишь пена на глади вод;
их земельный надел проклят,
и никто не пойдёт работать к ним в виноградник.
19Сушь и зной поглощают снег,
а грешников – мир мёртвых.
20Позабудет их материнское чрево,
полакомится ими червь;
о них больше никто не вспомнит,
они будут сломаны, словно дерево.
21Они притесняют бесплодную и бездетную
и вдове не делают добра.
22Но Аллах и сильных одолеет Своей силой;
они утвердились, но нет им за жизнь ручательства.
23Он даёт им покоиться безмятежно,
но глаза Его видят их пути.
24На миг вознесутся, и вот – их нет;
они падают и умирают, как все;
их жнут, как колосья.
25Разве это не так? Кто во лжи меня обличит
и в ничто обратит мою речь?

13They are of those that rebel against the light; they know not the ways thereof, nor abide in the paths thereof. 14The murderer rising with the light killeth the poor and needy, and in the night is as a thief. 15The eye also of the adulterer waiteth for the twilight, saying, No eye shall see me: and disguiseth his face.24.15 disguiseth…: Heb. setteth his face in secret 16In the dark they dig through houses, which they had marked for themselves in the daytime: they know not the light. 17For the morning is to them even as the shadow of death: if one know them, they are in the terrors of the shadow of death.
18He is swift as the waters; their portion is cursed in the earth: he beholdeth not the way of the vineyards. 19Drought and heat consume the snow waters: so doth the grave those which have sinned.24.19 consume: Heb. violently take 20The womb shall forget him; the worm shall feed sweetly on him; he shall be no more remembered; and wickedness shall be broken as a tree. 21He evil entreateth the barren that beareth not: and doeth not good to the widow. 22He draweth also the mighty with his power: he riseth up, and no man is sure of life.24.22 no…: or, he trusteth not his own life 23Though it be given him to be in safety, whereon he resteth; yet his eyes are upon their ways. 24They are exalted for a little while, but are gone and brought low; they are taken out of the way as all other, and cut off as the tops of the ears of corn.24.24 are gone: Heb. are not24.24 taken…: Heb. closed up 25And if it be not so now, who will make me a liar, and make my speech nothing worth?
