Pahimangno Kabahin sa Pagpanapaw
1Anak, paminawa kining mga maalamong pulong nga akong isulti, 2aron makahibalo ka magdesisyon sa ensakto ug manulti nga may kaalam. 3Ang pulong sa babayeng daotan sama katam-is sa dugos, ug lami tagamtamon sama sa lana sa olibo. 4Apan sa kaulahian ang kapait ug kasakit ray imong dangatan. 5Kon mosunod ka kaniya, dad-on ka niya sa dapit sa mga patay; ang dalan nga iyang gilakwan padulong sa kamatayon. 6Wala siya magtagad sa dalan sa kinabuhi. Dili tul-id ang dalan nga iyang ginasubay ug wala gani siya makaamgo niini.
7Busa mga anak, pamatia ninyo ako ug tumana. 8Palayo kamo sa babayeng sama niana. Ayaw kamo pagduol sa iyang balay. 9Kay kon himuon ninyo kana, mawad-an kamog dungog ug maangkon kini sa uban, ug mamatay kamo sa kamot sa mga tawong bangis. 10Ang tanan ninyong bahandi ug uban pang hinagoan kuhaon lang ug pahimuslan sa ubang mga tawo. 11Mag-agulo kamo kon magtinga na kamo, nga labihan na kaayo kaniwang. 12Unya moingon kamo, “Anugon wala ko gihatagan ug pagtagad ang mga pagbadlong sa akong pamatasan. 13Wala ako mamati sa akong mga magtutudlo. 14Busa karon, nagaungaw na ako sa baba sa kamatayon atubangan sa katilingban.”
15Sa imong asawa ka lang angay makighilawas. Kon tubig pa kini, sa imong kaugalingong atabay ka lang magkuhag imong imnon. 16Kay basig magluib usab ang imong asawa.5:16 sa literal, Basig mag-awas ang imong tuboran diha sa mga karsada o sa mga plasa. 17Kinahanglan nga imo lang siya; dili siya makighilawas sa ubang lalaki. 18Magpakalipay ka diha sa imong asawa, ug hinaut nga panalanginan siya sa Dios. 19Matahom siya ug maanindot sama sa lagsaw, busa hinaut nga mawili ka kaniya5:19 mawili ka kaniya: sa literal, matagbaw ka sa iyang dughan. ug mabihag kanunay sa iyang gugma.
20Anak, ayaw pagpadani sa babayeng daotan o pagpakigrelasyon kaniya. 21Kay nakita sa Ginoo ang tanan mong binuhatan; nagatan-aw siya bisan asa ka paingon. 22Ang binuhatan sa tawong daotan sama sa lit-ag nga mounay kaniya. 23Mahisalaag siya tungod sa iyang kabuang, ug mamatay siya tungod kay dili siya magpatul-id sa iyang pamatasan.
1My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding: 2That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.
3¶ For the lips of a strange woman drop as an honeycomb, and her mouth is smoother than oil:5.3 mouth: Heb. palate 4But her end is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a twoedged sword. 5Her feet go down to death; her steps take hold on hell. 6Lest thou shouldest ponder the path of life, her ways are moveable, that thou canst not know them. 7Hear me now therefore, O ye children, and depart not from the words of my mouth. 8Remove thy way far from her, and come not nigh the door of her house: 9Lest thou give thine honour unto others, and thy years unto the cruel: 10Lest strangers be filled with thy wealth; and thy labours be in the house of a stranger;5.10 thy wealth: Heb. thy strength 11And thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed, 12And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof; 13And have not obeyed the voice of my teachers, nor inclined mine ear to them that instructed me! 14I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly.
15¶ Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well. 16Let thy fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets. 17Let them be only thine own, and not strangers’ with thee. 18Let thy fountain be blessed: and rejoice with the wife of thy youth. 19Let her be as the loving hind and pleasant roe; let her breasts satisfy thee at all times; and be thou ravished always with her love.5.19 satisfy…: Heb. water thee5.19 be thou…: Heb. err thou always in her love 20And why wilt thou, my son, be ravished with a strange woman, and embrace the bosom of a stranger? 21For the ways of man are before the eyes of the LORD, and he pondereth all his goings.
22¶ His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.5.22 sins: Heb. sin 23He shall die without instruction; and in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.
