5Ang mga tawong maalamon dakog ikatabang panahon sa gira, 6kay kinahanglan ang ilang mga tambag sa pagpakiggira. Ug mas dako ang tsansa nga modaog kon daghan ang magtatambag.

7Dili matugkad sa tawong buang-buang ang kaalam. Wala siyay ikasulti kon maalamong mga butang nay hisgotan.

8Ang tawong magplano kanunay ug daotan ilado nga tigpasiugdag daotan. 9Sala ang bisan unsay ipasiugda sa tawong buang-buang, ug ngil-aran ang mga tawo sa bugalbugalon.

10Kon mawad-an kag paglaom sa panahon sa kalisod, timailhan kana nga ikaw huyang.

11Ayaw pagduhaduha sa pagluwas sa mga tawo nga dili sad-an nga gihukman nga patyon. 12Moingon ka nga wala ka mahibalo bahin niini, apan nahibalo ang Dios kon nagsulti ka sa tinuod o wala. Nagabantay siya kanimo ug nakahibalo siya kon unsay anaa sa imong hunahuna. Balosan ka niya sumala sa imong binuhatan.

13-14Anak, maingon nga ang dugos tam-is ug makaayo kanimo, ingon usab niana ang kaalam. Kay kon maalamon ka, may maayo kang kaugmaon ug dili mapakyas ang imong mga pangandoy.

15Ayaw pag-awat sa tawong daotan nga manglungkab sa pinuy-anan sa tawong matarong. 16Kay bisan makapito pa mapandol ang tawong matarong, makabangon ra gihapon siya. Apan kon ang daotan ang malaglag, dili na siya makabangon pa.

17Ayaw pagmaya kon may daotang mahitabo sa imong kaaway. 18Makita sa Ginoo ang imong gibuhat, ug dili niya kini magustohan; ug undangan niya ang pagsilot sa imong kaaway.

19Ayawg kalagot o kasina sa daotang mga tawo, 20kay wala silay maayong kaugmaon ug mahisama sila sa suga nga napalong.
‒ 30 ‒
21Anak, tahora ang Ginoo ug ang hari. Ayaw pakig-uban sa mga tawong nakigbatok kanila, 22kay wala ka masayod kon unsay kalaglagan nga kalit nga ipadala sa Ginoo o sa hari ngadto kanila.
Dugang pa nga mga Panultihon
23Ania pay laing mga panultihon gikan sa maalamon nga mga tawo:
Dili maayo nga may pinalabi ka sa imong paghukom. 24Kon ipalingkawas mo ang nakasala, tunglohon ug kapungtan ka sa mga tawo. 25Apan kon silotan mo ang nakasala, panalanginan ka ug mouswag ka pa.
26Ang dili bakak nga tubag nagapadayag sa tinuoray nga panaghigalaay.
27Andama una ang imong panginabuhian, sama sa uma, sa dili ka pa magtukod ug panimalay.24:27 magtukod ug panimalay: o, magtukod ug balay.
28Ayaw pagsaksi batok sa imong isigka-tawo sa walay igong hinungdan, o manugilon ug bakak bahin kaniya. 29Ayaw pag-ingon, “Balosan ko siya sa iyang gihimo kanako. Himuon ko usab kaniya ang iyang gihimo kanako.”
30Miagi ako sa uma sa usa ka tawong tapolan ug walay panabot. 31Puno na kini sa mga sagbot ug sampinit, ug guba na ang koral niini. 32Gipamalandongan ko pag-ayo kining akong nakita ug nakuha ko kini nga leksyon: 33Higda-higda, tulog-tulog, ug pagpangiyugpos gamay, tawong tapolan, 34ug sa kalit lang moabot kanimo ang kawad-on nga daw sama sa armadong tulisan.

13My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:24.13 to…: Heb. upon thy palate 14So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off.
15Lay not wait, O wicked man, against the dwelling of the righteous; spoil not his resting place: 16For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.

23These things also belong to the wise.
