22Nígbà náà ni Ọlọ́run rántí Rakeli, Ọlọ́run sì gbọ́ tirẹ̀, ó sì ṣí i ní inú. 23Ó lóyún, ó sì bí ọmọkùnrin kan ó sì wí pé, “Ọlọ́run ti mú ẹ̀gàn mi kúrò.” 24Ó sì pe orúkọ rẹ̀ ni Josẹfu, ó sì wí pé, “Ǹjẹ́ kí Olúwa kí ó fi ọmọkùnrin mìíràn kún un fún mi.”
Agbo ẹran Jakọbu pọ̀ sí i
25Lẹ́yìn tí Rakeli ti bí Josẹfu, Jakọbu wí fún Labani pé, “Jẹ́ kí èmi máa lọ sí ilẹ̀ mi tí mo ti wá. 26Kó àwọn ọmọ àti ìyàwó mi fún mi, àwọn ẹni tí mo ti torí wọn sìn ọ́. Ki èmi lè máa bá ọ̀nà mi lọ. O sá à mọ bí mo ti ṣiṣẹ́ sìn ọ́ tó.”
27Ṣùgbọ́n Labani wí fún un pé, “Bí o bá ṣe pé mo rí ojúrere rẹ, jọ̀wọ́ dúró, nítorí, mo ti ṣe àyẹ̀wò rẹ, mo sì rí i pé Olúwa bùkún mi nítorí rẹ. 28Sọ ohun tí o fẹ́ gẹ́gẹ́ bí owó iṣẹ́ ẹ̀ rẹ, èmi yóò sì san án.”
29Jakọbu sì wí fún un pé, “Ìwọ sá à mọ bí mo ti ṣiṣẹ́ sìn ọ́ àti bí ẹran ọ̀sìn rẹ ti pọ̀ si lábẹ́ ìtọ́jú mi. 30Ìwọ̀nba díẹ̀ sá à ni o ní kí èmi tó dé, ó sì ti pọ̀ sí i gidigidi, Olúwa sì ti bùkún ọ nínú gbogbo èyí tí mo ṣe. Ṣùgbọ́n nísinsin yìí, nígbà wo ní èmi yóò pèsè fún ìdílé tèmi.”
31Ó sì tún béèrè wí pé, “Kín ni kí èmi ó fi fún ọ?”
Jakọbu dáhùn pé, “Má fun mi ni ohunkóhun, ṣùgbọ́n bí ìwọ yóò bá ṣe ohun tí mo fẹ́ sọ yìí, èmi yóò sì máa bá ọ tọ́jú àwọn agbo ẹran rẹ, èmi yóò sì máa bọ́ wọn. 32Jẹ́ kí èmi kí ó la agbo ẹran kọjá ní òní, èmi yóò sì mú gbogbo àgùntàn onílà àti èyí tí ó ní ààmì, àti gbogbo àgbò dúdú pẹ̀lú ewúrẹ́ onílà tàbí tí ó ní ààmì. Àwọn wọ̀nyí ni yóò dúró fún owó iṣẹ́ mi. 33Òtítọ́ inú mi yóò sì jẹ́rìí fún mi ní ọjọ́ iwájú nígbà tí ìwọ bá wo owó iṣẹ́ mi tí ìwọ san fún mi, yóò sì ṣe pé gbogbo èyí tí kì í bá ṣe onílà tàbí alámì nínú ewúrẹ́ tàbí tí kì í ṣe dúdú nínú àgùntàn, tí o bá rí ni ọ̀dọ̀ mi ni kí o kà sí mi lọ́rùn pé jíjí ni mo jí gbé.”
34Labani sì dáhùn pé, “Mo fi ara mọ́ ọn, ṣe bí ìwọ ti wí” 35Ní ọjọ́ náà gan an ni Labani kó gbogbo ewúrẹ́ tí ó ní ààmì tàbí ilà (àti òbúkọ àti abo, tí ó ní funfun díẹ̀ lára), pẹ̀lú gbogbo àgùntàn dúdú, ó sì fi wọ́n sí ìtọ́jú àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀. 36Ibi tí Labani àti Jakọbu sì wà sí ara wọn, sì tó ìrìn ọjọ́ mẹ́ta. Jakọbu sì ń tọ́jú agbo ẹran Labani tí ó kù.
37Nígbà náà ni Jakọbu gé ọ̀pá tẹ́ẹ́rẹ́ tútù kan lára igi Poplari, àti igi almondi àti igi Pileeni. Ó sì bó èèpo kúrò ní ibi kọ̀ọ̀kan lára igi náà láti fún igi náà ní àwọ̀ ju ẹyọ kan lọ. 38Ó sì mú àwọn ọ̀pá wọ̀nyí tì sí ọ̀ọ́kán agbada omi níbi tí àwọn ẹran ti lè rí i nígbà tí wọ́n bá wá mu omi. 39Tí àwọn ẹran bá sì ń gùn, níwájú àwọn ọ̀pá náà, wọn sì bí àwọn ẹran onílà àti alámì, àwọn tí ó ní tótòtó lára. 40Nígbà náà ni ó ya àwọn abo ẹran kúrò nínú agbo ẹran Labani, ó sì yà wọ́n sọ́tọ̀ kúrò lára àgbò, ó sì mú kí wọn máa gùn pẹ̀lú àwọn àgbò Jakọbu dúdú nìkan, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ó kó agbo ẹran jọ fún ara rẹ̀ láti ara agbo ẹran Labani. 41Nígbàkígbà tí àwọn ẹran tí ó lera bá ń gùn, Jakọbu yóò fi àwọn ọ̀pá wọ̀nyí lélẹ̀ níwájú wọn, ní ibi tí wọn ti ń mu omi. 42Ṣùgbọ́n tí ó bá jẹ́ wí pé wọn kò lera, kò ní fi àwọn ọ̀pá náà lélẹ̀. Nítorí náà, àwọn tí kò lera ń jẹ́ ti Labani, nígbà tí àwọn tí ó lera ń jẹ́ ti Jakọbu. 43Nítorí ìdí èyí, Jakọbu di ọlọ́rọ̀ gidigidi, agbo ẹran rẹ̀ pọ̀ àti àwọn ìránṣẹ́kùnrin, ìránṣẹ́bìnrin pẹ̀lú ìbákasẹ àti kẹ́tẹ́kẹ́tẹ́.

14¶ And Reuben went in the days of wheat harvest, and found mandrakes in the field, and brought them unto his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, Give me, I pray thee, of thy son’s mandrakes. 15And she said unto her, Is it a small matter that thou hast taken my husband? and wouldest thou take away my son’s mandrakes also? And Rachel said, Therefore he shall lie with thee to night for thy son’s mandrakes. 16And Jacob came out of the field in the evening, and Leah went out to meet him, and said, Thou must come in unto me; for surely I have hired thee with my son’s mandrakes. And he lay with her that night. 17And God hearkened unto Leah, and she conceived, and bare Jacob the fifth son. 18And Leah said, God hath given me my hire, because I have given my maiden to my husband: and she called his name Issachar.30.18 Issachar: that is, An hire 19And Leah conceived again, and bare Jacob the sixth son. 20And Leah said, God hath endued me with a good dowry; now will my husband dwell with me, because I have born him six sons: and she called his name Zebulun.30.20 Zebulun: that is, Dwelling: Gr. 22¶ And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb. 23And she conceived, and bare a son; and said, God hath taken away my reproach: 24And she called his name Joseph; and said, The LORD shall add to me another son.30.24 Joseph: that is, Adding
25¶ And it came to pass, when Rachel had born Joseph, that Jacob said unto Laban, Send me away, that I may go unto mine own place, and to my country. 26Give me my wives and my children, for whom I have served thee, and let me go: for thou knowest my service which I have done thee. 27And Laban said unto him, I pray thee, if I have found favour in thine eyes, tarry: for I have learned by experience that the LORD hath blessed me for thy sake. 28And he said, Appoint me thy wages, and I will give it. 29And he said unto him, Thou knowest how I have served thee, and how thy cattle was with me. 30For it was little which thou hadst before I came, and it is now increased unto a multitude; and the LORD hath blessed thee since my coming: and now when shall I provide for mine own house also?30.30 increased: Heb. broken forth30.30 since…: Heb. at my foot 31And he said, What shall I give thee? And Jacob said, Thou shalt not give me any thing: if thou wilt do this thing for me, I will again feed and keep thy flock: 32I will pass through all thy flock to day, removing from thence all the speckled and spotted cattle, and all the brown cattle among the sheep, and the spotted and speckled among the goats: and of such shall be my hire. 33So shall my righteousness answer for me in time to come, when it shall come for my hire before thy face: every one that is not speckled and spotted among the goats, and brown among the sheep, that shall be counted stolen with me.30.33 in time…: Heb. to morrow 34And Laban said, Behold, I would it might be according to thy word. 35And he removed that day the he goats that were ringstraked and spotted, and all the she goats that were speckled and spotted, and every one that had some white in it, and all the brown among the sheep, and gave them into the hand of his sons. 36And he set three days’ journey betwixt himself and Jacob: and Jacob fed the rest of Laban’s flocks.
37¶ And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the hazel and chesnut tree; and pilled white strakes in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods. 38And he set the rods which he had pilled before the flocks in the gutters in the watering troughs when the flocks came to drink, that they should conceive when they came to drink. 39And the flocks conceived before the rods, and brought forth cattle ringstraked, speckled, and spotted. 40And Jacob did separate the lambs, and set the faces of the flocks toward the ringstraked, and all the brown in the flock of Laban; and he put his own flocks by themselves, and put them not unto Laban’s cattle. 41And it came to pass, whensoever the stronger cattle did conceive, that Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the cattle in the gutters, that they might conceive among the rods. 42But when the cattle were feeble, he put them not in: so the feebler were Laban’s, and the stronger Jacob’s. 43And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle, and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses.
