คำเชื้อเชิญบรรดาผู้กระหาย
1“เชิญทุกคนที่กระหาย
มาดื่มน้ำเถิด
และผู้ที่ไม่มีเงิน
จงมาซื้อกินเถิด!
มาเถิด มาซื้อเหล้าองุ่นและน้ำนม
โดยไม่คิดเงินและไม่คิดมูลค่า
2ทำไมเจ้าจึงใช้จ่ายเงินซื้อสิ่งที่ไม่ใช่อาหาร
และลงแรงทำสิ่งที่ไม่ช่วยให้อิ่มใจ?
จงฟังเถิด จงฟังเราและรับประทานสิ่งที่ดี
แล้วจิตวิญญาณของเจ้าจะปีติยินดีในอาหารอันอุดมสมบูรณ์ที่สุด
3จงเงี่ยหูและมาหาเรา
มาฟังเราเพื่อจิตวิญญาณของเจ้าจะมีชีวิตอยู่
เราจะทำพันธสัญญานิรันดร์กับเจ้า
ว่าด้วยความรักอันซื่อสัตย์ซึ่งเราสัญญาไว้กับดาวิด
4ดูเถิด เราได้ทำให้เขาเป็นพยานแก่ประชาชาติต่างๆ
เป็นผู้นำและผู้บังคับบัญชาประชาชาติทั้งหลาย
5แน่ทีเดียวเจ้าจะเรียกประชาชาติซึ่งเจ้าไม่รู้จักมาชุมนุม
และประชาชาติซึ่งไม่รู้จักเจ้าจะรีบรุดมาหาเจ้า
เพราะพระยาห์เวห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า
องค์บริสุทธิ์แห่งอิสราเอลประทานความรุ่งโรจน์แก่เจ้า”
6จงแสวงหาองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าขณะที่จะพบพระองค์ได้
จงร้องทูลพระองค์ขณะที่พระองค์ยังทรงอยู่ใกล้
7ให้คนชั่วร้ายละทิ้งวิถีทางของตน
และให้คนชั่วละทิ้งความคิดของตน
ให้เขาหันกลับมาหาองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า และพระองค์จะทรงเมตตาเขา
ให้เขาหันกลับมาหาพระเจ้าของเรา เพราะพระองค์จะทรงให้อภัยโดยไม่คิดมูลค่า
8“เพราะความคิดของเราไม่เป็นความคิดของเจ้า
ทั้งวิถีทางของเจ้าไม่เป็นวิถีทางของเรา”
องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าประกาศดังนั้น
9“ฟ้าสวรรค์สูงกว่าแผ่นดินโลกฉันใด
วิถีของเราก็สูงกว่าทางของเจ้า
และความคิดของเราก็สูงกว่าความคิดของเจ้าฉันนั้น
10เฉกเช่นฝนและหิมะ
โปรยลงมาจากฟ้าสวรรค์
และไม่กลับไปที่นั่น
จนกว่าจะทำให้แผ่นดินโลกชุ่มฉ่ำ
และทำให้พืชพันธุ์แตกหน่องอกงาม
เพื่อให้มันเกิดเมล็ดสำหรับผู้หว่านและอาหารสำหรับผู้บริโภค
11ถ้อยคำที่ออกจากปากของเราก็เป็นเช่นนั้น
มันจะไม่กลับคืนมายังเราโดยเปล่าประโยชน์
แต่จะสัมฤทธิ์ผลตามที่เราปรารถนา
และสำเร็จตามเป้าหมายที่เราตั้งไว้
12เจ้าจะออกไปด้วยความชื่นชมยินดี
และถูกนำออกไปด้วยสันติสุข
ภูเขาและเนินเขาจะเปล่งเสียงร้องเพลงต่อหน้าเจ้า
บรรดาต้นไม้ในทุ่งนาจะปรบมือ
13ต้นสนจะงอกขึ้นแทนที่พุ่มหนาม
พันธุ์ไม้หอมจะงอกขึ้นแทนที่ต้นหนาม
การนี้จะเป็นที่เชิดชูองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
เป็นหมายสำคัญนิรันดร์ซึ่งจะไม่ถูกทำลายเลย”

6¶ Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: 7Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.55.7 the unrighteous…: Heb. the man of iniquity55.7 abundantly…: Heb. multiply to pardon
8¶ For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. 10For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: 11So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. 12For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. 13Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the LORD for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
