1ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ขออย่าทรงลงโทษข้าพระองค์ขณะที่ทรงกริ้ว
หรือตีสั่งสอนข้าพระองค์ขณะที่ทรงพระพิโรธ
2เพราะลูกศรของพระองค์ปักลึกในตัวข้าพระองค์
พระหัตถ์ของพระองค์วางเหนือข้าพระองค์อย่างหนักหน่วง
3ร่างกายของข้าพระองค์ทรุดโทรมเพราะพระพิโรธของพระองค์
กระดูกของข้าพระองค์เสื่อมโทรมเพราะบาปของข้าพระองค์
4ความผิดของข้าพระองค์ท่วมท้นข้าพระองค์
เหมือนภาระอันหนักหน่วงเกินจะแบกไว้
5บาดแผลของข้าพระองค์ร้าวระบม
และกลัดหนองเพราะบาปอันโง่เขลาของข้าพระองค์
6ข้าพระองค์ถูกทำให้ทรุดลงและตกต่ำอย่างมาก
ข้าพระองค์คร่ำครวญอยู่วันยังค่ำ
7หลังของข้าพระองค์ปวดร้าว
ร่างกายของข้าพระองค์ทรุดโทรม
8ข้าพระองค์อ่อนระโหยและบอบช้ำ
ข้าพระองค์ครวญครางด้วยความร้าวรานใจ
9ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ความปรารถนาทั้งสิ้นของข้าพระองค์เปิดเผยอยู่ต่อหน้าพระองค์
เสียงทอดถอนใจของข้าพระองค์ไม่ได้ถูกปิดกั้นจากพระองค์
10ใจของข้าพระองค์เต้นระรัว กำลังวังชาของข้าพระองค์ถดถอย
และตาของข้าพระองค์ก็มืดมัวไป
11เพื่อนฝูงปลีกตัวออกห่างเพราะบาดแผลของข้าพระองค์
เพื่อนบ้านหลบลี้หนีหน้า
12บรรดาผู้ที่หมายเอาชีวิตข้าพระองค์ก็วางกับดัก
บรรดาผู้ที่จะทำร้ายข้าพระองค์ก็พูดถึงแต่ความหายนะของข้าพระองค์
และคิดหาอุบายอยู่วันยังค่ำ
13แต่ข้าพระองค์เป็นเหมือนคนหูหนวกที่ไม่ได้ยิน
และเป็นเหมือนคนใบ้ที่พูดไม่ได้
14ข้าพระองค์กลายเป็นเหมือนคนที่ไม่ได้ยินอะไร
ผู้ซึ่งไม่สามารถปริปากโต้ตอบ
15ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ข้าพระองค์รอคอยพระองค์อยู่
ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ พระองค์จะทรงตอบ
16เพราะข้าพระองค์ทูลว่า “ขออย่าให้พวกเขากระหยิ่มยิ้มย่อง
หรือจองหองพองขนเมื่อเท้าของข้าพระองค์พลาดไป”
17เพราะข้าพระองค์กำลังจะล้มลงอยู่รอมร่อ
และความเจ็บปวดอยู่กับข้าพระองค์เสมอ
18ข้าพระองค์สารภาพความชั่วช้าของข้าพระองค์
ข้าพระองค์ร้อนใจในความบาปของตน
19ศัตรูตัวฉกาจของข้าพระองค์มีมากมาย
ผู้ที่เกลียดชังข้าพระองค์โดยไม่มีสาเหตุก็เหลือคณานับ
20คนที่ตอบแทนความดีของข้าพระองค์ด้วยความชั่ว
ให้ร้ายข้าพระองค์
ขณะที่ข้าพระองค์ใฝ่หาความดี
21ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ขออย่าทรงทอดทิ้งข้าพระองค์
ข้าแต่พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ ขออย่าทรงห่างไกลข้าพระองค์
22ขอทรงรีบรุดมาช่วยข้าพระองค์เถิด
องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระผู้ช่วยให้รอดของข้าพระองค์
A Psalm of David, to bring to remembrance.
1O LORD, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
2For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore.
3There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin.38.3 rest: Heb. peace, or, health
4For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me.
5My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness.
6I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning all the day long.38.6 troubled: Heb. wried
7For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh.
8I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart.
9Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee.
10My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me.38.10 is gone…: Heb. is not with me
11My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off.38.11 sore: Heb. stroke38.11 my kinsmen: or, my neighbours
12They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long.
13But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth.
14Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs.
15For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God.38.15 in…: or, thee do I wait for38.15 hear: or, answer
16For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me.
17For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me.38.17 to halt: Heb. for halting

19But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied.38.19 are lively…: Heb. being living, are strong
20They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is.
21Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me.
