1ถ้าองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าไม่ได้ทรงอยู่ฝ่ายเรา
ก็ให้อิสราเอลกล่าวเถิดว่า
2หากองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ไม่ได้ทรงอยู่ฝ่ายเรา
เมื่อคนมาโจมตีเรา
3เมื่อโทสะเกรี้ยวกราดของศัตรูพลุ่งขึ้นต่อเรา
เราก็คงจะถูกเขากลืนทั้งเป็น
4น้ำหลากคงท่วมมิดเรา
กระแสน้ำเชี่ยวคงซัดท่วมเรา
5กระแสเชี่ยวกราก
คงซัดกวาดเราไปแล้ว
6ขอถวายสรรเสริญแด่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า
ผู้ไม่ทรงยอมให้พวกเขากัดฉีกพวกเรา
7เราหนีรอดมาได้เหมือนนก
พ้นจากกับดักของนายพราน
กับดักนั้นถูกหักทิ้ง
และเราก็หนีรอดมาได้
8ความช่วยเหลือของเราอยู่ในพระนามของพระยาห์เวห์
ผู้ทรงสร้างฟ้าสวรรค์และแผ่นดินโลก

7Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.
