1“จงเขียนถึงทูตสวรรค์2:1 หรือผู้ส่งข่าวเช่นเดียวกับข้อ 8,12 และ 18แห่งคริสตจักรที่เมืองเอเฟซัสว่า
พระองค์ผู้ทรงถือดาวทั้งเจ็ดไว้ในพระหัตถ์ขวาและทรงดำเนินอยู่ท่ามกลางคันประทีปทองคำทั้งเจ็ดนั้นตรัสว่า 2เรารู้ถึงการกระทำของเจ้า ความเหนื่อยยากตรากตรำของเจ้า และความอดทนของเจ้า เรารู้ว่าเจ้าไม่อาจทนต่อคนชั่ว เจ้าได้ทดสอบบรรดาผู้อ้างตัวเป็นอัครทูตแต่ไม่ได้เป็น เจ้าจับได้ว่าเขาโกหก 3เรารู้ว่าเจ้าได้อดทนบากบั่นและได้ทนความยากเข็ญเพื่อนามของเรา และเจ้าไม่ได้ระย่อท้อแท้
4แต่เรามีข้อติติงเจ้าคือ เจ้าได้ละทิ้งความรักดั้งเดิมของเจ้า 5จงระลึกว่าเจ้าได้ร่วงหล่นลงมามากเพียงใด! จงกลับใจใหม่และทำสิ่งที่เจ้าเคยทำตั้งแต่แรก ถ้าเจ้าไม่กลับใจใหม่เราจะมาหาเจ้าและยกคันประทีปของเจ้าออกจากที่ 6แต่เจ้ายังมีข้อดีอยู่บ้างตรงที่เจ้าชิงชังข้อปฏิบัติของพวกนิโคเลาส์นิยมซึ่งเราก็ชิงชังด้วย
7ใครมีหูก็จงฟังสิ่งที่พระวิญญาณตรัสแก่คริสตจักรทั้งหลาย ผู้ใดมีชัยชนะเราจะให้เขามีสิทธิ์รับประทานผลจากต้นไม้แห่งชีวิตในอุทยานสวรรค์ของพระเจ้า
ถึงคริสตจักรที่เมืองสเมอร์นา
8“จงเขียนถึงทูตสวรรค์แห่งคริสตจักรที่เมืองสเมอร์นาว่า
พระองค์ผู้ทรงเป็นเบื้องต้นและเบื้องปลาย ผู้ได้สิ้นพระชนม์และกลับมีชีวิตขึ้นมาอีกตรัสว่า 9เรารู้ถึงการทนทุกข์และความยากไร้ของเจ้า กระนั้นเจ้าก็มั่งมี! เรารู้ถึงคำให้ร้ายของบรรดาผู้ที่อ้างว่าตนเป็นยิวและไม่ได้เป็น แต่เป็นธรรมศาลาของซาตาน 10อย่ากลัวการทนทุกข์ที่เจ้ากำลังจะเผชิญ เราบอกเจ้าว่ามารจะขังพวกเจ้าบางคนไว้ในคุกเพื่อทดสอบเจ้า และเจ้าจะทนทุกข์เพราะการข่มเหงถึงสิบวัน จงสัตย์ซื่อแม้ต้องตายและเราจะมอบมงกุฎแห่งชีวิตให้แก่เจ้า
11ใครมีหูก็จงฟังสิ่งที่พระวิญญาณตรัสแก่คริสตจักรทั้งหลาย ผู้ใดมีชัยชนะจะไม่ถูกทำร้ายโดยความตายครั้งที่สองเลย
ถึงคริสตจักรที่เมืองเปอร์กามัม
12“จงเขียนถึงทูตสวรรค์แห่งคริสตจักรที่เมืองเปอร์กามัมว่า
พระองค์ผู้ทรงถือดาบสองคมตรัสว่า 13เรารู้ว่าเจ้าอาศัยอยู่ที่ไหน ที่นั่นเป็นที่ซึ่งซาตานครองบัลลังก์ กระนั้นเจ้าก็ยังคงภักดีต่อนามของเรา เจ้าไม่ได้ละทิ้งความเชื่อที่เจ้ามีในเราแม้ในช่วงที่อันทีพาสผู้เป็นพยานให้เราอย่างสัตย์ซื่อถูกฆ่าตายในเมืองของเจ้า คือที่ซึ่งซาตานอยู่
14กระนั้นเรามีบางข้อที่จะติติงเจ้าคือ พวกเจ้าบางคนยึดถือคำสอนของบาลาอัมซึ่งเสี้ยมสอนบาลาคให้มาล่ออิสราเอลให้ทำบาปด้วยการกินอาหารที่ได้เซ่นไหว้แก่รูปเคารพและการทำผิดศีลธรรมทางเพศ 15เช่นเดียวกันนั้นก็มีบางคนที่ยึดถือคำสอนของพวกนิโคเลาส์นิยม 16เพราะฉะนั้นจงกลับใจใหม่! มิฉะนั้นอีกไม่นานเราจะมาหาเจ้าและสู้กับคนเหล่านั้นด้วยดาบแห่งปากของเรา
17ใครมีหูก็จงฟังสิ่งที่พระวิญญาณตรัสแก่คริสตจักรทั้งหลาย ผู้ใดมีชัยชนะเราจะให้มานาที่ซ่อนอยู่ และให้หินขาวอันมีนามใหม่จารึกไว้ซึ่งผู้ที่รับเท่านั้นจึงจะรู้
ถึงคริสตจักรที่เมืองธิยาทิรา
18“จงเขียนถึงทูตสวรรค์แห่งคริสตจักรที่เมืองธิยาทิราว่า
พระบุตรของพระเจ้าผู้ซึ่งมีพระเนตรดั่งเปลวไฟโชติช่วงและพระบาทดั่งทองสัมฤทธิ์สุกปลั่งตรัสว่า 19เรารู้ถึงการกระทำของเจ้า ความรักและความเชื่อของเจ้า การรับใช้และความอดทนบากบั่นของเจ้า และเรารู้ว่าปัจจุบันเจ้ากำลังทำสิ่งเหล่านี้มากยิ่งกว่าตอนแรก
20กระนั้นเรามีข้อที่จะติติงเจ้าคือ เจ้าทนฟังเยเซเบลผู้หญิงที่เรียกตนเองว่าผู้เผยพระวจนะ คำสอนของนางทำให้ผู้รับใช้ของเราหลงไปประพฤติผิดทางเพศและกินของที่เซ่นไหว้แก่รูปเคารพ 21เราให้โอกาสหญิงนั้นกลับใจจากความสำส่อนของนาง แต่นางก็ไม่ยอม 22ดังนั้นเราจะโยนนางลงบนเตียงแห่งความทุกข์ทรมาน และให้บรรดาผู้ล่วงประเวณีกับหญิงนั้นทนทุกข์แสนสาหัส เว้นแต่พวกเขาจะกลับใจจากวิถีของนาง 23เราจะประหารลูกๆ ของหญิงนั้น แล้วคริสตจักรทั้งปวงจะได้รู้ว่าเราคือผู้พิเคราะห์ความคิดจิตใจ และเราจะตอบแทนเจ้าแต่ละคนตามการกระทำของเจ้า 24บัดนี้เรากล่าวกับพวกเจ้าที่เหลืออยู่ในธิยาทิรากับพวกเจ้าที่ไม่ยึดถือคำสอนของนาง และไม่ได้เรียนรู้สิ่งที่เรียกกันว่าความลี้ลับของซาตานนั้น (เราจะไม่มอบภาระอื่นแก่เจ้า) 25เพียงแต่จงยึดมั่นในสิ่งที่เจ้ามีอยู่จนกว่าเราจะมา
26ผู้ใดมีชัยชนะและทำสิ่งที่เราประสงค์จนถึงที่สุด เราจะให้ผู้นั้นมีสิทธิอำนาจเหนือประชาชาติต่างๆ
27‘เขาจะปกครองคนเหล่านั้นด้วยคทาเหล็ก
จะฟาดพวกเขาให้แหลกเป็นชิ้นๆ เหมือนหม้อดิน’2:27 สดด.2:9
เช่นเดียวกับที่เราได้รับสิทธิอำนาจจากพระบิดาของเรา 28เราจะมอบดาวแห่งรุ่งอรุณให้แก่เขาด้วย 29ใครมีหูก็จงฟังสิ่งที่พระวิญญาณตรัสแก่คริสตจักรทั้งหลาย
1Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks; 2I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars: 3And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted. 4Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love. 5Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. 6But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. 7He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
8And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; 9I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. 10Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. 11He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
12And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges; 13I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth. 14But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. 15So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate. 16Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. 17He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
18And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass; 19I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first. 20Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols. 21And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not. 22Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds. 23And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. 24But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. 25But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. 26And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: 27And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. 28And I will give him the morning star. 29He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
