(มก.16:1-8; ลก.24:1-10)
1หลังวันสะบาโตตอนรุ่งสางวันต้นสัปดาห์มารีย์ชาวมักดาลากับมารีย์อีกคนหนึ่งไปดูที่อุโมงค์
2เกิดแผ่นดินไหวใหญ่เพราะทูตองค์หนึ่งขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าลงมาจากสวรรค์ กลิ้งหินออกจากปากอุโมงค์แล้วนั่งบนหินนั้น 3ลักษณะของทูตนั้นเหมือนแสงฟ้าแลบ เสื้อผ้าขาวเหมือนหิมะ 4ยามที่เฝ้าอยู่กลัวทูตนั้นจนตัวสั่นและเป็นเหมือนคนตาย
5ทูตนั้นกล่าวแก่หญิงทั้งสองว่า “อย่ากลัวเลยเพราะเรารู้ว่าพวกเจ้ามาหาพระเยซูผู้ถูกตรึงตายบนไม้กางเขน 6พระองค์ไม่ได้อยู่ที่นี่ พระองค์ทรงเป็นขึ้นแล้วดังที่พระองค์ได้ตรัสไว้ มาดูที่ซึ่งเขาวางร่างของพระองค์เถิด 7แล้วรีบไปบอกเหล่าสาวกของพระองค์ว่า ‘พระองค์ทรงเป็นขึ้นจากตายแล้วและกำลังเสด็จไปกาลิลีล่วงหน้าพวกท่าน พวกท่านจะเห็นพระองค์ที่นั่น’ บัดนี้เราได้บอกเจ้าแล้ว”
8หญิงนั้นก็ไปจากอุโมงค์โดยเร็ว พวกนางกลัวแต่ก็ดีใจยิ่งนักและวิ่งไปบอกเหล่าสาวกของพระองค์ 9ทันใดนั้นพระเยซูมาพบพวกเขาและตรัสทักทายพวกเขา พวกเขาก็เข้ามากอดพระบาทของพระองค์และกราบนมัสการพระองค์ 10แล้วพระเยซูตรัสกับพวกเขาว่า “อย่ากลัวเลย จงไปบอกพวกพี่น้องของเราให้ไปยังกาลิลี พวกเขาจะพบเราที่นั่น”

11เมื่อหญิงเหล่านั้นกำลังเดินทางไป ยามบางคนเข้าเมืองไปรายงานทุกสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้นต่อพวกหัวหน้าปุโรหิต 12เมื่อพวกหัวหน้าปุโรหิตได้หารือและวางแผนกับเหล่าผู้อาวุโสแล้ว เขาก็มอบเงินก้อนใหญ่ให้พวกทหาร 13พร้อมทั้งสั่งว่า “พวกเจ้าจงพูดว่า ‘ตอนกลางคืนขณะที่เรานอนหลับอยู่ เหล่าสาวกมาขโมยศพไป’ 14หากความนี้รู้ไปถึงผู้ว่าการเราจะพูดแก้ต่างไม่ให้เจ้าเดือดร้อน” 15ดังนั้นพวกทหารจึงรับเงินและทำตามที่พวกเขาสั่ง เรื่องนี้ลือกระฉ่อนไปในหมู่ชาวยิวจนถึงทุกวันนี้
พระมหาบัญชา
16สาวกทั้งสิบเอ็ดคนจึงไปยังกาลิลี ไปที่ภูเขาซึ่งพระเยซูทรงบอกไว้ 17เมื่อเห็นพระองค์พวกเขาก็กราบลงนมัสการ แต่บางคนยังสงสัยอยู่ 18พระเยซูทรงเข้ามาหาพวกเขาและตรัสว่า “สิทธิอำนาจทั้งสิ้นในสวรรค์และในแผ่นดินโลกทรงมอบไว้แก่เราแล้ว 19ดังนั้นจงไปสร้างสาวกจากมวลประชาชาติ ให้เขารับบัพติศมาใน28:19 หรือเข้าในดูกจ.8:16; 19:5 รม. 6:3;1คร.1:13; 10:2 และ กท. 3:27 พระนามของพระบิดา พระบุตร และพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์ 20สอนเขาให้เชื่อฟังทุกสิ่งที่เราสั่งพวกท่านไว้ และแน่นอน เราจะอยู่กับท่านทั้งหลายเสมอไปตราบจนสิ้นยุค”
1In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. 2And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. 3His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: 4And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men. 5And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. 8And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
9¶ And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. 10Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.
11¶ Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. 12And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, 13Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. 14And if this come to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him, and secure you. 15So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
16¶ Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 17And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. 18And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19¶ Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
