Salmo.
1Cantem ao Senhor um cântico novo,
porque ele fez coisas maravilhosas!
Ele alcançou vitórias pela sua mão direita,
pela força do seu santo braço.
2O Senhor tornou conhecida a sua vitória;
manifestou a sua justiça aos olhos das nações.
3Lembrou-se da sua bondade
e das suas promessas para com Israel.
De uma à outra extremidade da Terra,
todos viram a salvação de Deus.
4Louvem com alegria o Senhor,
todos os habitantes da Terra!
Que o vosso júbilo se manifeste bem alto,
expandindo-se com cânticos de louvor!
5Cantem ao Senhor
acompanhados de harpa e de coros!
6Que a vossa alegria possa expandir-se livremente
diante do Senhor, diante do Rei,
tocando com força trombetas e cornetas!
7Que o mar, na sua imensa vastidão,
faça ecoar o rugido profundo das suas vagas!
Que o mundo inteiro e todos os seus habitantes
deem glória a Deus!
8Que o barulho dos rios seja como palmas
e as montanhas festejem de alegria!
9Cantem na presença do Senhor,
pois ele vem julgar o mundo!
Julgará os povos com toda a justiça!
Psalm 98
A psalm.
1Sing a new song to the Lord.
He has done wonderful things.
By the power of his right hand and his holy arm
he has saved his people.
2The Lord has made known his power to save.
He has shown the nations that he does what is right.
3He has shown his faithful love
to the people of Israel.
People from one end of the earth to the other
have seen that our God has saved us.
4Shout for joy to the Lord, everyone on earth.
Burst into joyful songs and make music.
5Make music to the Lord with the harp.
Sing and make music with the harp.
6Blow the trumpets. Give a blast on the ram’s horn.
Shout for joy to the Lord. He is the King.
7Let the ocean and everything in it roar.
Let the world and all who live in it shout.
8Let the rivers clap their hands.
Let the mountains sing together with joy.
9Let them sing to the Lord,
because he is coming to judge the earth.
He will judge the nations of the world
in keeping with what is right and fair.
