Salmo 121
Cântico de peregrinação.
1Levanto os olhos para as altas montanhas:
Donde me virá o socorro?
2O socorro virá do Senhor,
que é o Criador dos céus e da Terra.
3Ele não deixará que tropeces e caias;
não corre o risco de dormitar, aquele que te protege!
4Não deixará que o sono lhe pese nas pálpebras;
não adormecerá nem por fadiga, aquele que protege Israel.
5Aquele que te guarda é o próprio Senhor!
Está presente ao teu lado como a tua própria sombra.
6Durante o dia o Sol não te fará mal,
nem de noite a Lua.
7O Senhor protege-te de todo o mal;
ele guarda a tua alma.
8O Senhor protege-te quando entras e quando sais;
sabe tudo o que fazes, hoje e sempre!

A song for those who go up to Jerusalem to worship the Lord.
1I look up to the mountains.
Where does my help come from?
2My help comes from the Lord.
He is the Maker of heaven and earth.
3He won’t let your foot slip.
He who watches over you won’t get tired.
4In fact, he who watches over Israel
won’t get tired or go to sleep.
5The Lord watches over you.
The Lord is like a shade tree at your right hand.
6The sun won’t harm you during the day.
The moon won’t harm you during the night.
7The Lord will keep you from every kind of harm.
He will watch over your life.
8The Lord will watch over your life no matter where you go,
both now and forever.
