Profecia contra Amon
1A palavra do Senhor veio até mim novamente. 2“Homem mortal, vira-te na direção da terra de Amon e profetiza contra eles: 3Visto que se riram quando o meu templo foi destruído e se divertiram quando Israel foi arrasada e Judá levado em cativeiro, 4permitirei que os beduínos do deserto a oriente vos ocupem a terra. Levantarão acampamentos entre vocês e ali habitarão; alimentar-se-ão fartamente da vossa fruta e beberão da vossa produção de leite. 5Farei com que a cidade de Rabá se torne um pasto para os seus camelos e todo o país dos amonitas numa terra onde apenas pastem rebanhos de carneiros. Então dar-se-ão conta de que eu sou o Senhor. 6Porque assim diz o Senhor Deus: Visto que aplaudiram e festejaram com barulho e com vivas a destruição do meu povo, 7assim também deixarei cair pesadamente a minha mão sobre vocês, entregando-vos a muitos outros povos para que vos destruam. Farei com que desapareçam e deixem de ser uma nação para sempre. Liquidar-vos-ei e, então, hão de saber que eu sou o Senhor!”
Profecia contra Moabe
8Diz o Senhor Deus: “Devido ao facto dos moabitas terem dito que Judá não vale mais do que qualquer outra nação, 9abrirei o flanco oriental de Moabe e farei açoitar todas aquelas povoações fronteiriças que são o orgulho da nação, Bete-Jesimote, Baal-Meom e até Quiriataim. 10Deixarei que as tribos beduínas do lado oriental do deserto conquistem Moabe, juntamente com Amon, para que Moabe deixe de ser contada entre as nações. 11É assim que executarei o meu julgamento sobre os moabitas. E saberão que eu sou o Senhor!”
Profecia contra Edom
12Diz o Senhor Deus: “Como o povo de Edom pecou enormemente, vingando-se a si próprio do povo de Judá, 13esmagarei Edom com o meu punho fechado e açoitarei tanto o povo como o gado e rebanhos. A espada tudo destruirá, desde Temã até Dedã. 14E isto será feito pela mão do meu povo de Israel. Serão eles que executarão o meu castigo, afirma o Senhor Deus.”
Profecia contra os filisteus
15Diz o Senhor Deus: “Visto que os filisteus atuaram contra Judá, vingando-se raivosamente por si próprios, e com um ódio desmedido buscaram destruí-los, 16levantarei o meu punho ameaçador contra a terra dos filisteus e castigarei duramente os cretenses; destruirei completamente todos os que estão estabelecidos ao longo da costa marítima. 17Executarei tremendas sentenças sobre eles, para os repreender por terem feito o que fizeram. E quando tudo isso acontecer, hão de ver que eu sou o Senhor!”
A Prophecy Against Ammon
1A message from the Lord came to me. The Lord said, 2“Son of man, turn your attention to the Ammonites. Prophesy against them. 3Tell them, ‘Listen to the message of the Lord and King. He says, “You laughed when my temple was made ‘unclean.’ You also laughed when the land of Israel was completely destroyed. You mocked the people of Judah when they were taken away as prisoners. 4So I am going to hand you over to the people of the east. They will set up their tents in your land. They will camp among you. They will eat your fruit. They will drink your milk. 5I will turn the city of Rabbah into grasslands for camels. Ammon will become a resting place for sheep. Then you will know that I am the Lord.” ’ ” 6The Lord and King says, “You clapped your hands. You stamped your feet. Deep down inside, you hated the land of Israel. You were glad because of what happened to it. 7So I will reach out my powerful hand against you. I will give you and everything you have to the nations. I will bring you to an end among the nations. I will destroy you. Then you will know that I am the Lord.”
A Prophecy Against Moab
8The Lord and King says, “Moab and Edom said, ‘Look! Judah has become like all the other nations.’ 9So I will let Moab’s enemies attack its lower hills. They will begin at the border towns. Those towns include Beth Jeshimoth, Baal Meon and Kiriathaim. They are the glory of that land. 10I will hand Moab over to the people of the east. I will also give the Ammonites to them. And the Ammonites will no longer be remembered among the nations. 11I will punish Moab. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”
A Prophecy Against Edom
12The Lord and King says, “Edom got even with Judah. That made Edom very guilty.” 13The Lord continues, “I will reach out my hand against Edom. I will kill its people and their animals. I will completely destroy it. They will be killed by swords from Teman all the way to Dedan. 14I will use my people Israel to pay Edom back. They will punish Edom because my anger against it is great. They will know how I pay back my enemies,” announces the Lord and King.
A Prophecy Against the Philistines
15The Lord and King says, “Deep down inside them, the Philistines hated Judah. So the Philistines tried to get even with them. They had been Judah’s enemies for many years. So they tried to destroy them.” 16The Lord continues, “I am about to reach out my hand against the Philistines. I will wipe out the Kerethites. I will destroy those who remain along the coast. 17You can be sure that I will pay them back. I will punish them because my anger against them is great. When I pay them back, they will know that I am the Lord.”
