Salmo 118
1Den gracias al Señor porque él es bueno;
su gran amor perdura para siempre.
2Que lo diga Israel:
«Su gran amor perdura para siempre».
3Que lo diga la familia de Aarón:
«Su gran amor perdura para siempre».
4Que lo digan los que temen al Señor:
«Su gran amor perdura para siempre».
5Desde mi angustia clamé al Señor
y él respondió dándome libertad.
6El Señor está conmigo y no tengo miedo;
¿qué me puede hacer un simple mortal?
7El Señor está conmigo, él es mi ayuda;
veré por los suelos a los que me odian.
8Es mejor refugiarse en el Señor
que confiar en el hombre.
9Es mejor refugiarse en el Señor
que confiar en gente poderosa.
10Todas las naciones me rodearon,
pero en el nombre del Señor las aniquilé.
11Me rodearon por completo,
pero en el nombre del Señor las aniquilé.
12Me rodearon como abejas,
pero se consumieron como zarzas en el fuego.

pero el Señor me ayudó.
14El Señor es mi fuerza y mi canción;
¡él es mi salvación!
15Gritos de júbilo y salvación
resuenan en las casas de los justos:
«¡La diestra del Señor hace proezas!
16¡La diestra del Señor es exaltada!
¡La diestra del Señor hace proezas!».
17No he de morir; he de vivir
para proclamar las obras del Señor.
18El Señor me ha castigado con dureza,
pero no me ha entregado a la muerte.
19Ábranme las puertas de la justicia
para que entre yo a dar gracias al Señor.
20Esta es la puerta del Señor,
por ella entran los justos.
21¡Te daré gracias porque me respondiste,
porque eres mi salvación!
22La piedra que desecharon los constructores
ha llegado a ser la piedra angular.
23Esto ha sido obra del Señor
y nos deja maravillados.
24Este es el día que hizo el Señor;
regocijémonos y alegrémonos en él.
25Señor, te ruego, ¡danos la salvación!
Señor, te ruego, ¡concédenos la victoria!
26Bendito el que viene en el nombre del Señor.
Desde la casa del Señor los bendecimos.
27El Señor es Dios
y nos ilumina.
Con ramas en las manos, únanse a la procesión festiva
hasta los cuernos del altar.
28Tú eres mi Dios, por eso te doy gracias;
tú eres mi Dios, por eso te exalto.
29Den gracias al Señor porque él es bueno;
su gran amor perdura para siempre.
Psalm 118
1Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures for ever.
2Let Israel say:
‘His love endures for ever.’
3Let the house of Aaron say:
‘His love endures for ever.’
4Let those who fear the Lord say:
‘His love endures for ever.’
5When hard pressed, I cried to the Lord;
he brought me into a spacious place.
6The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid.
What can mere mortals do to me?
7The Lord is with me; he is my helper.
I look in triumph on my enemies.
8It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to trust in humans.
9It is better to take refuge in the Lord
than to trust in princes.
10All the nations surrounded me,
but in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
11They surrounded me on every side,
but in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
12They swarmed around me like bees,
but they were consumed as quickly as burning thorns;
in the name of the Lord I cut them down.
13I was pushed back and about to fall,
but the Lord helped me.
14The Lord is my strength and my defence118:14 Or song;
he has become my salvation.
15Shouts of joy and victory
resound in the tents of the righteous:
‘The Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!
16The Lord’s right hand is lifted high;
the Lord’s right hand has done mighty things!’
17I will not die but live,
and will proclaim what the Lord has done.
18The Lord has chastened me severely,
but he has not given me over to death.
19Open for me the gates of the righteous;
I will enter and give thanks to the Lord.
20This is the gate of the Lord
through which the righteous may enter.
21I will give you thanks, for you answered me;
you have become my salvation.
22The stone the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone;
23the Lord has done this,
and it is marvellous in our eyes.
24The Lord has done it this very day;
let us rejoice today and be glad.
25Lord, save us!
Lord, grant us success!
26Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.

and he has made his light shine on us.
With boughs in hand, join in the festal procession
