al enfrentar las espadas del desierto.
10La piel nos arde como un horno;
de hambre nos da fiebre.
11Las mujeres fueron violadas en Sión
y las vírgenes, en las ciudades de Judá.
12A nuestros príncipes los colgaron de las manos
y a nuestros ancianos no los honraron.
13A nuestros mejores jóvenes los pusieron a moler;
los niños tropezaban bajo el peso de la leña.
14Ya no se sientan los ancianos a las puertas de la ciudad;
ni se escucha la música de los jóvenes.
15En nuestro corazón no hay gozo;
nuestra danza se convirtió en lamento.
16Nuestra cabeza se ha quedado sin corona.
¡Ay de nosotros que hemos pecado!
17Desfallece nuestro corazón;
se apagan nuestros ojos,
18porque el monte Sión se halla desolado,
y sobre él rondan los chacales.
19Pero tú, Señor, reinas eternamente;
tu trono permanece de generación en generación.
20¿Por qué siempre nos olvidas?
¿Por qué nos abandonas tanto tiempo?
21Permítenos volver a ti, Señor, y volveremos;
renueva nuestra vida como antes.
22La verdad es que nos has rechazado
y te has excedido en tu enojo contra nosotros.
