Salmo.
1Cantem ao Senhor um novo cântico,
pois ele fez coisas maravilhosas;
a sua mão direita e o seu braço santo
lhe deram a vitória!
2O Senhor anunciou a sua vitória
e revelou a sua justiça às nações.
3Ele se lembrou do seu amor leal
e da sua fidelidade para com a casa de Israel;
todos os confins da terra viram
a vitória do nosso Deus.
4Aclamem o Senhor todos os habitantes da terra!
Louvem-no com cânticos de alegria e ao som de música!
5Ofereçam música ao Senhor com a harpa,
com a harpa e ao som de canções,
6com cornetas e ao som da trombeta;
exultem diante do Senhor, o Rei!
7Ressoe o mar e tudo o que nele existe,
o mundo e os seus habitantes!
8Batam palmas os rios,
e juntos cantem de alegria os montes;
9cantem diante do Senhor, porque ele vem,
vem julgar a terra;
julgará o mundo com justiça
e os povos com retidão.
Psalm 98
A psalm.
1Sing a new song to the Lord.
He has done wonderful things.
By the power of his right hand and his holy arm
he has saved his people.
2The Lord has made known his power to save.
He has shown the nations that he does what is right.
3He has shown his faithful love
to the people of Israel.
People from one end of the earth to the other
have seen that our God has saved us.
4Shout for joy to the Lord, everyone on earth.
Burst into joyful songs and make music.
5Make music to the Lord with the harp.
Sing and make music with the harp.
6Blow the trumpets. Give a blast on the ram’s horn.
Shout for joy to the Lord. He is the King.
7Let the ocean and everything in it roar.
Let the world and all who live in it shout.
8Let the rivers clap their hands.
Let the mountains sing together with joy.
9Let them sing to the Lord,
because he is coming to judge the earth.
He will judge the nations of the world
in keeping with what is right and fair.
