Salmo 64
Para o mestre de música. Salmo davídico.
1Ouve-me, ó Deus, quando faço a minha queixa;
protege a minha vida do inimigo ameaçador.
2Defende-me da conspiração dos ímpios
e da ruidosa multidão de malfeitores.
3Eles afiam a língua como espada
e apontam, como flechas, palavras envenenadas.
4De onde estão emboscados atiram no homem íntegro;
atiram de surpresa, sem nenhum temor.
5Animam-se uns aos outros com planos malignos,
combinam como ocultar as suas armadilhas,
e dizem: “Quem as64.5 Ou nos verá?”
6Tramam a injustiça e dizem:
“Fizemos64.6 Ou Eles ocultam um plano perfeito!”
A mente e o coração de cada um deles o escondem!64.6 Ou Ninguém nos descobrirá!
7Mas Deus atirará neles suas flechas;
repentinamente serão atingidos.
8Pelas próprias palavras farão cair uns aos outros;
menearão a cabeça e zombarão deles
todos os que os virem.
9Todos os homens temerão
e proclamarão as obras de Deus,
refletindo no que ele fez.
10Alegrem-se os justos no Senhor
e nele busquem refúgio;
congratulem-se todos os retos de coração!

For the director of music. A psalm of David.
1Hear me, my God, as I voice my complaint;
protect my life from the threat of the enemy.
2Hide me from the conspiracy of the wicked,
from the plots of evildoers.
3They sharpen their tongues like swords
and aim cruel words like deadly arrows.
4They shoot from ambush at the innocent;
they shoot suddenly, without fear.
5They encourage each other in evil plans,
they talk about hiding their snares;
they say, ‘Who will see it64:5 Or us?’
6They plot injustice and say,
‘We have devised a perfect plan!’
Surely the human mind and heart are cunning.
7But God will shoot them with his arrows;
they will suddenly be struck down.
8He will turn their own tongues against them
and bring them to ruin;
all who see them will shake their heads in scorn.
9All people will fear;
they will proclaim the works of God
and ponder what he has done.
10The righteous will rejoice in the Lord
and take refuge in him;
all the upright in heart will glory in him!
