Psalm 47
Herren är kung
1För körledaren. Av Korachs ättlingar. En psalm.
2Klappa händer, alla folk!
Höj jubelrop till Gud och gläd er!
3Herren, den Högste, är fruktansvärd,
han är en stor kung över hela jorden.
4Han lade nationer under oss,
folk under våra fötter.
5Han utvalde åt oss vår arvedel,
Jakobs stolthet, som han älskade. Séla
6Gud har stigit upp under jubelrop,
Herren vid trumpeters ljud.
7Lovsjung Gud, lovsjung!
Lovsjung vår kung, lovsjung!
8Gud är kung över hela jorden,
lovsjung honom med en psalm47:8 Här finns ordet maskil, vars betydelse inte är känd (se not till 32:1)..
9Gud är kung över folken,
han sitter på sin helighets tron.
10Folkens förnäma samlas
som Abrahams Guds folk.
Jordens mäktiga tillhör Gud,
han är upphöjd över allt.
Psalm 47
For the director of music. A psalm of the Sons of Korah.
1Clap your hands, all you nations.
Shout to God with cries of joy.
2Do this because the Lord Most High is wonderful.
He is the great King over the whole earth.
3He brought nations under our control.
He made them fall under us.
4He chose our land for us.
The people of Jacob are proud of their land,
and God loves them.
5God went up to his throne while his people were shouting with joy.
The Lord went up while trumpets were playing.
6Sing praises to God. Sing praises.
Sing praises to our King. Sing praises.
7God is the King of the whole earth.
Sing a psalm of praise to him.
8God rules over the nations.
He is seated on his holy throne.
9The nobles of the nations come together.
They are now part of the people of the God of Abraham.
The kings of the earth belong to God.
He is greatly honored.
