Psalmul 129
O cântare de pelerinaj
1„Mult m‑au mai dușmănit încă din tinerețea mea“
– să spună acum Israel lucrul acesta!
2„Mult m‑au mai dușmănit încă din tinerețea mea,
dar nu m‑au învins.
3Pe spatele meu au arat plugarii
și au tras brazde lungi.
4Însă Domnul este drept;
El a tăiat funiile celor răi.“
5Să se rușineze și să dea înapoi
toți cei ce urăsc Sionul.
6Să fie ca iarba de pe acoperișuri,
care se usucă înainte de a fi smulsă.
7Secerătorul nu‑și umple mâna cu ea,
și cel ce leagă snopii nu‑și încarcă brațul cu ea.
8Trecătorii să nu zică:
„Fie binecuvântarea Domnului cu voi!“
sau „Vă binecuvântăm în Numele Domnului!“8 Saluturi întâlnite în sezonul seceratului (vezi Rut 2:4).
Psalm 129
A song of ascents.
1“They have greatly oppressed me from my youth,”
let Israel say;
2“they have greatly oppressed me from my youth,
but they have not gained the victory over me.
3Plowmen have plowed my back
and made their furrows long.
4But the Lord is righteous;
he has cut me free from the cords of the wicked.”
5May all who hate Zion
be turned back in shame.
6May they be like grass on the roof,
which withers before it can grow;
7a reaper cannot fill his hands with it,
nor one who gathers fill his arms.
8May those who pass by not say to them,
“The blessing of the Lord be on you;
we bless you in the name of the Lord.”
