Псалом 59
(Пс. 107:7-14)

3Ты отверг нас, Боже, и сокрушил;
Ты был в гневе – вернись к нам снова!
4Ты заставил землю дрожать и расколол ее;
исцели ее раны – она содрогается.
5Ты послал Своему народу безотрадные времена.
Ты напоил нас вином, от которого нас шатает.
6Но для тех, кто Тебя боится,
поднял Ты знамя,
чтобы они, собравшись к нему,
стали для лука недосягаемы59:6 Или: «собрались к нему ради истины».. Пауза
7Сохрани нас правой рукой Своей и ответь нам59:7 Или: «мне».,
чтобы возлюбленные Тобой спаслись.
8Бог обещал в Своем святилище:
«Я разделю, торжествуя, Шехем
и долину Суккот размерю59:8 Шехем здесь представляет всю территорию на западе от реки Иордана, а долина Суккот – на востоке..
9Мой – Галаад и Мой – Манассия,
Ефрем – Мой шлем,
Иуда – Мой скипетр59:9 Галаад – земля на востоке Иордана. Роду Манассии принадлежала часть этой земли. Роду Ефрема принадлежала земля западнее Иордана, представляющая собой северное царство Израиля. Роду Иуды принадлежала южная часть этой земли западнее Иордана..
10Моав – Моя умывальная чаша,
на Эдом Я брошу Мою сандалию59:10 В древние времена существовал обычай, символизирующий заключение сделки о земельном участке. При этом продавец давал свою сандалию покупателю. Возможно, об этом обычае и упомянуто в этом стихе.,
над землей филистимлян
торжествующе воскликну».
11Кто приведет меня в укрепленный город?
Кто доведет меня до Эдома?
12Не Ты ли, Боже, Который нас отринул,
и не выходишь с войсками нашими?
13Окажи нам помощь в борьбе с врагом,
потому что людская помощь бесполезна.
14С Богом мы одержим победу;
Он низвергнет наших врагов.

2Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.
3For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O LORD.
4They run and prepare themselves without my fault: awake to help me, and behold.59.4 help: Heb. meet
5Thou therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah.
6They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.
7Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear?
8But thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision.
9Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defence.59.9 defence: Heb. high place
10The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies.59.10 enemies: Heb. observers
11Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield.
12For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.
13Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of the earth. Selah.
14And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.
15Let them wander up and down for meat, and grudge if they be not satisfied.59.15 for meat: Heb. to eat59.15 and grudge…: or, if they be not satisfied, then they will stay all night
16But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.
17Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.
