Jesus greater than Moses
1Therefore, holy brothers and sisters, who share in the heavenly calling, fix your thoughts on Jesus, whom we acknowledge as our apostle and high priest. 2He was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in all God’s house. 3Jesus has been found worthy of greater honour than Moses, just as the builder of a house has greater honour than the house itself. 4For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. 5‘Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house,’3:5 Num. 12:7 bearing witness to what would be spoken by God in the future. 6But Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house. And we are his house, if indeed we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory.
Warning against unbelief
7So, as the Holy Spirit says:
‘Today, if you hear his voice,
8do not harden your hearts
as you did in the rebellion,
during the time of testing in the wilderness,
9where your ancestors tested and tried me,
though for forty years they saw what I did.
10That is why I was angry with that generation;
I said, “Their hearts are always going astray,
and they have not known my ways.”
11So I declared on oath in my anger,
“They shall never enter my rest.” ’3:11 Psalm 95:7-11
12See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. 13But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called ‘Today’, so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. 14We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original conviction firmly to the very end. 15As has just been said:
‘Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts
as you did in the rebellion.’3:15 Psalm 95:7,8
16Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt? 17And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies perished in the wilderness? 18And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed? 19So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief.

1एकरसेति, हे पबितर भाईमन, जऊन मन स्वरगीय बुलावा म सहभागी हव; अपन धियान यीसू ऊपर लगावव, जऊन ला हमन प्रेरित अऊ महा पुरोहित मानथन। 2परमेसर ह ओला चुने रिहिस, अऊ ओह परमेसर के बिसवास लइक रिहिस, जइसने कि मूसा ह परमेसर के जम्मो घराना म बिसवास लइक रिहिस। 3घर के बनइया ह घर ले जादा आदर पाथे, वइसनेच यीसू ह मूसा ले बढ़के आदर पाय के लइक समझे गीस। 4काबरकि हर एक घर के कोनो न कोनो बनइया होथे। पर जऊन ह जम्मो चीज ला बनाईस, ओह परमेसर ए। 5एक सेवक के रूप म मूसा ह परमेसर के जम्मो घराना म बिसवास लइक रिहिस, अऊ ओह ओ बात के गवाही दीस, जऊन ला परमेसर ह अवइया समय म बताने वाला रिहिस। 6पर मसीह ह एक बेटा के रूप म, परमेसर के घराना ऊपर बिसवास लइक अय। अऊ हमन ओकर घराना अन, यदि हमन अपन हिम्मत अऊ आसा म बने रहिथन, जेकर कि हमन ला घमंड हवय।
अबिसवास के बिरोध म चेतउनी
7एकरसेति, जइसने कि पबितर आतमा ह कहिथे:
“आज, यदि तुमन ओकर अवाज ला सुनथव,
8त अपन हिरदय ला कठोर झन करव,
जइसने कि तुम्हर पुरखामन निरजन प्रदेस म,
बिदरोही होके परखे जाय के बेरा परमेसर के बिरोध म करे रिहिन।
9ओमन उहां मोला परखिन अऊ जांचिन,
अऊ चालीस साल तक मोर काम ला देखिन।
10एकरे कारन, मेंह ओ पीढ़ी के मनखेमन ले नराज रहेंव,
अऊ मेंह कहेंव, ‘ओमन के मन ह हमेसा भटकत रहिथे,
अऊ ओमन मोर रसता ला नइं जानंय।’
11एकरसेति, मेंह कोरोध म कसम खाके कहेंव,
‘ओमन ओ ठऊर म कभू नइं जा सकहीं, जिहां मेंह ओमन ला अराम देवइया रहेंव।’ ”3:11 भजन-संहिता 95:7-11
12हे भाईमन हो, एकर धियान रखव कि तुमन ले काकरो पापमय अऊ अबिसवासी हिरदय झन होवय, जऊन ह कि जीयत परमेसर ले दूरिहा हो जाथे। 13पर हर एक दिन, एक-दूसर ला ढाढ़स बंधावव, जब तक कि एला आज कहे जाथे, ताकि तुमन कोनो घलो पाप के छल म पड़के कठोर झन होवव। 14जऊन बिसवास, हमर करा सुरू म रिहिस, यदि हमन ओम आखिरी तक मजबूत बने रहन, तभे मसीह के काम म हमर बांटा हवय। 15जइसने कि परमेसर के बचन म ए कहे गे हवय:
“यदि आज तुमन ओकर अवाज ला सुनथव,
त अपन हिरदय ला कठोर झन करव,

16ओमन कोन रिहिन, जऊन मन परमेसर के अवाज ला सुनिन, अऊ ओकर बिरोध म बिदरोह करिन? का ओमन ओ जम्मो मनखे नइं रिहिन, जऊन मन ला मूसा ह मिसर देस ले निकारके लानिस? 17अऊ काकर ले परमेसर ह चालीस साल तक नराज रिहिस? का ओमन ले नो हय, जऊन मन पाप करिन अऊ निरजन प्रदेस म गिरके मर गीन? 18अऊ परमेसर ह कसम खाके कोन ला कहिस कि ओमन ओकर बिसराम म कभू नइं जा सकहीं3:18 इहां “ओकर बिसराम” के मतलब ए ओ जगह, जऊन ला परमेसर ह इसरायलीमन ला देय के वायदा करे रिहिस।? सिरिप ओमन ला, जऊन मन ओकर हुकूम नइं मानिन। 19ए किसम ले, हमन देखथन कि ओमन अपन अबिसवास के कारन ओ देस म नइं जा सकिन।
