Offerings for the tabernacle
1The Lord said to Moses, 2‘Tell the Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to receive the offering for me from everyone whose heart prompts them to give.
3‘These are the offerings you are to receive from them:
‘gold, silver and bronze;
4blue, purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen;
goat hair;
5ram skins dyed red and another type of durable leather25:5 Possibly the hides of large aquatic mammals;
acacia wood;
6olive oil for the light;
spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense;
7and onyx stones and other gems to be mounted on the ephod and breastpiece.
8‘Then let them make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among them. 9Make this tabernacle and all its furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show you.
The ark
10‘Let them make an ark25:10 That is, a chest of acacia wood – two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high.25:10 That is, about 1.1 metres long and 68 centimetres wide and high; similarly in verse 17 11Overlay it with pure gold, both inside and out, and make a gold moulding around it. 12Cast four gold rings for it and fasten them to its four feet, with two rings on one side and two rings on the other. 13Then make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold. 14Insert the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry it. 15The poles are to remain in the rings of this ark; they are not to be removed. 16Then put in the ark the tablets of the covenant law, which I will give you.
17‘Make an atonement cover of pure gold – two and a half cubits long and a cubit and a half wide. 18And make two cherubim out of hammered gold at the ends of the cover. 19Make one cherub on one end and the second cherub on the other; make the cherubim of one piece with the cover, at the two ends. 20The cherubim are to have their wings spread upwards, overshadowing the cover with them. The cherubim are to face each other, looking towards the cover. 21Place the cover on top of the ark and put in the ark the tablets of the covenant law that I will give you. 22There, above the cover between the two cherubim that are over the ark of the covenant law, I will meet with you and give you all my commands for the Israelites.
The table
23‘Make a table of acacia wood – two cubits long, a cubit wide and a cubit and a half high.25:23 That is, about 90 centimetres long, 45 centimetres wide and 68 centimetres high 24Overlay it with pure gold and make a gold moulding around it. 25Also make around it a rim a handbreadth25:25 That is, about 7.5 centimetres wide and put a gold moulding on the rim. 26Make four gold rings for the table and fasten them to the four corners, where the four legs are. 27The rings are to be close to the rim to hold the poles used in carrying the table. 28Make the poles of acacia wood, overlay them with gold and carry the table with them. 29And make its plates and dishes of pure gold, as well as its pitchers and bowls for the pouring out of offerings. 30Put the bread of the Presence on this table to be before me at all times.
The lampstand
31‘Make a lampstand of pure gold. Hammer out its base and shaft, and make its flowerlike cups, buds and blossoms of one piece with them. 32Six branches are to extend from the sides of the lampstand – three on one side and three on the other. 33Three cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms are to be on one branch, three on the next branch, and the same for all six branches extending from the lampstand. 34And on the lampstand there are to be four cups shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms. 35One bud shall be under the first pair of branches extending from the lampstand, a second bud under the second pair, and a third bud under the third pair – six branches in all. 36The buds and branches shall all be of one piece with the lampstand, hammered out of pure gold.
37‘Then make its seven lamps and set them up on it so that they light the space in front of it. 38Its wick trimmers and trays are to be of pure gold. 39A talent25:39 That is, about 34 kilograms of pure gold is to be used for the lampstand and all these accessories. 40See that you make them according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.
As Ofertas para o Tabernáculo
1Disse o Senhor a Moisés: 2“Diga aos israelitas que me tragam uma oferta. Receba-a de todo aquele cujo coração o compelir a dar.
3“Estas são as ofertas que deverá receber deles:
“ouro, prata e bronze;
4fios de tecidos azul, roxo e vermelho, linho fino, pelos de cabra;
5peles de carneiro tingidas de vermelho, couro25.5 Possivelmente de animais marinhos; também em 26.14., madeira de acácia;
6azeite para iluminação, especiarias para o óleo da unção e para o incenso aromático;
7pedras de ônix e outras pedras preciosas para serem encravadas no colete sacerdotal e no peitoral.
8“E farão um santuário para mim, e eu habitarei no meio deles. 9Façam tudo como eu lhe mostrar, conforme o modelo do tabernáculo e de cada utensílio.
A Arca da Aliança
10“Faça uma arca de madeira de acácia com um metro e dez centímetros de comprimento, setenta centímetros de largura e setenta centímetros de altura25.10 Hebraico: 2,5 côvados de comprimento, 1,5 côvados de largura e 1,5 côvados de altura. O côvado era uma medida linear de cerca de 45 centímetros.. 11Revista-a de ouro puro, por dentro e por fora, e faça uma moldura de ouro ao seu redor. 12Mande fundir quatro argolas de ouro para ela e prenda-as em seus quatro pés, com duas argolas de um lado e duas do outro. 13Depois faça varas de madeira de acácia, revista-as de ouro 14e coloque-as nas argolas laterais da arca, para que possa ser carregada. 15As varas permanecerão nas argolas da arca; não devem ser retiradas. 16Então coloque dentro da arca as tábuas da aliança que lhe darei.
17“Faça uma tampa25.17 Tradicionalmente um propiciatório; também no restante do capítulo e em 26.34. de ouro puro com um metro e dez centímetros de comprimento por setenta centímetros de largura, 18com dois querubins de ouro batido nas extremidades da tampa. 19Faça um querubim numa extremidade e o segundo na outra, formando uma só peça com a tampa. 20Os querubins devem ter suas asas estendidas para cima, cobrindo com elas a tampa. Ficarão de frente um para o outro, com o rosto voltado para a tampa. 21Coloque a tampa sobre a arca e dentro dela as tábuas da aliança que darei a você. 22Ali, sobre a tampa, no meio dos dois querubins que se encontram sobre a arca da aliança25.22 Hebraico: do Testemunho. Isto é, das tábuas da aliança; também em 26.33 e 34., eu me encontrarei com você e lhe darei todos os meus mandamentos destinados aos israelitas.
A Mesa e seus Utensílios
23“Faça uma mesa de madeira de acácia com noventa centímetros de comprimento, quarenta e cinco centímetros de largura e setenta centímetros de altura. 24Revista-a de ouro puro e faça uma moldura de ouro ao seu redor. 25Faça também ao seu redor uma borda com a largura de quatro dedos e uma moldura de ouro para essa borda. 26Faça quatro argolas de ouro para a mesa e prenda-as nos quatro cantos dela, onde estão os seus quatro pés. 27As argolas devem ser presas próximas da borda para que sustentem as varas usadas para carregar a mesa. 28Faça as varas de madeira de acácia, revestindo-as de ouro; com elas se carregará a mesa. 29Faça de ouro puro os seus pratos e o recipiente para incenso, as suas tigelas e as bacias nas quais se derramam as ofertas de bebidas25.29 Veja Nm 28.7.. 30Coloque sobre a mesa os pães da Presença, para que estejam sempre diante de mim.
O Candelabro de Ouro
31“Faça um candelabro de ouro puro e batido. O pedestal, a haste, as taças, as flores e os botões do candelabro formarão com ele uma só peça. 32Seis braços sairão do candelabro: três de um lado e três do outro. 33Haverá três taças com formato de flor de amêndoa num dos braços, cada uma com botão e flor; e três taças com formato de flor de amêndoa no braço seguinte, cada uma com botão e flor. Assim será com os seis braços que saem do candelabro. 34Na haste do candelabro haverá quatro taças com formato de flor de amêndoa, cada uma com botão e flor. 35Haverá um botão debaixo de cada par dos seis braços que saem do candelabro. 36Os braços com seus botões formarão uma só peça com o candelabro; tudo feito de ouro puro e batido.
37“Faça-lhe também sete lâmpadas e coloque-as nele para que iluminem a frente dele. 38Seus cortadores de pavio e seus apagadores serão de ouro puro. 39Com trinta e cinco quilos25.39 Hebraico: 1 talento. de ouro puro faça o candelabro e todos esses utensílios. 40Tenha o cuidado de fazê-lo segundo o modelo que lhe foi mostrado no monte.
