The Passover
1Observe the month of Aviv and celebrate the Passover of the Lord your God, because in the month of Aviv he brought you out of Egypt by night. 2Sacrifice as the Passover to the Lord your God an animal from your flock or herd at the place the Lord will choose as a dwelling for his Name. 3Do not eat it with bread made with yeast, but for seven days eat unleavened bread, the bread of affliction, because you left Egypt in haste – so that all the days of your life you may remember the time of your departure from Egypt. 4Let no yeast be found in your possession in all your land for seven days. Do not let any of the meat you sacrifice on the evening of the first day remain until morning.
5You must not sacrifice the Passover in any town the Lord your God gives you 6except in the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name. There you must sacrifice the Passover in the evening, when the sun goes down, on the anniversary16:6 Or down, at the time of day of your departure from Egypt. 7Roast it and eat it at the place the Lord your God will choose. Then in the morning return to your tents. 8For six days eat unleavened bread and on the seventh day hold an assembly to the Lord your God and do no work.
The Festival of Weeks
9Count seven weeks from the time you begin to put the sickle to the standing corn. 10Then celebrate the Festival of Weeks to the Lord your God by giving a freewill offering in proportion to the blessings the Lord your God has given you. 11And rejoice before the Lord your God at the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name – you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, the Levites in your towns, and the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows living among you. 12Remember that you were slaves in Egypt, and follow carefully these decrees.
The Festival of Tabernacles
13Celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles for seven days after you have gathered the produce of your threshing-floor and your winepress. 14Be joyful at your festival – you, your sons and daughters, your male and female servants, and the Levites, the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns. 15For seven days celebrate the festival to the Lord your God at the place the Lord will choose. For the Lord your God will bless you in all your harvest and in all the work of your hands, and your joy will be complete.
16Three times a year all your men must appear before the Lord your God at the place he will choose: at the Festival of Unleavened Bread, the Festival of Weeks and the Festival of Tabernacles. No-one should appear before the Lord empty-handed: 17each of you must bring a gift in proportion to the way the Lord your God has blessed you.
Judges
18Appoint judges and officials for each of your tribes in every town the Lord your God is giving you, and they shall judge the people fairly. 19Do not pervert justice or show partiality. Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the innocent. 20Follow justice and justice alone, so that you may live and possess the land the Lord your God is giving you.
Worshipping other gods
21Do not set up any wooden Asherah pole beside the altar you build to the Lord your God, 22and do not erect a sacred stone, for these the Lord your God hates.

三大祭
1第一の月（太陽暦では三月）には必ず、過越の祭りを祝いなさい。あなたの神、主が、夜、エジプトから助け出してくださった月だからです。 2過越のいけにえには、子羊と雄牛を聖なる場所でほふりなさい。 3それを、パン種（イースト菌）を入れないパンといっしょに食べます。エジプトから逃げ出す時に食べたパンをしのんで、七日間パン種を入れないパンを食べるのです。エジプトを発つ時には、パンをふくらませる時間もありませんでした。生涯、あの日のことを忘れないようにしなさい。 4七日間は、ほんの少しのパン種も家に置いてはならず、過越の子羊の肉は翌朝まで残しておいてはなりません。 5過越のいけにえは家では食べられません。 6主が聖所としてお選びになった場所で食べなさい。毎年その日が来たら、夕方、日の沈むころに聖所でいけにえをささげ、 7子羊を調理して食べ、翌朝、家に帰りなさい。 8続く六日間は、種を入れたパンを食べてはいけません。七日目には、それぞれの町から集まり、主の前で共に静かに過ごしなさい。その日一日、どんな仕事もしてはいけません。
9刈り入れが始まって七週間目に、 10主の前に七週の祭りを祝います。その時には、主が収穫させてくださった量に応じて、それぞれ、進んで行うささげ物をしなさい。 11こうして、家族をはじめ家中の者が、主の前で共に喜び合うのです。この祝いには、同じ町に住むレビ人、外国人、未亡人、身寄りのない子も招待しなさい。 12エジプトで奴隷だったことを忘れないように、必ずこのとおりにしなければなりません。
13取り入れも終わり、穀物を脱穀し、ぶどうをしぼり終えたころ、七日の間、仮庵の祭り（荒野での天幕生活を記念して、祭りの間、小屋に住むことから名づけられた）を祝いなさい。 14家族も使用人も共に楽しく過ごします。同じ町に住むレビ人、外国人、身寄りのない子、未亡人も忘れずに招待しなさい。 15この祭りは聖所で祝います。収穫を感謝し、主の祝福を大いに喜び合いなさい。
16イスラエルの男子はみな、年に三度、種なしパンの祭り、七週の祭り、仮庵の祭りの時に聖所に集まり、主の前に出なければなりません。そのたびに主へのささげ物を持って来なさい。 17受けた祝福に応じてささげなさい。
正しい裁判
18主が与えてくださるすべての町々に、裁判官と行政官を任命しなさい。正義が行われるためです。 19金持ちの肩をもって裁きを曲げたり、わいろを取ったりしてはいけません。知恵ある人も欲に目がくらむと、正しい判断ができなくなります。 20至る所で正義が行われなければなりません。でなければ、主が与えてくださる地で成功を収めることはできません。
神が憎まれるもの
21あなたの神、主の祭壇のほかは、たとえどんな事情があろうとも、偶像を立ててはいけません。 22石柱も同じです。主はそのどちらも憎まれるのです。
