Bringing back the ark
1David conferred with each of his officers, the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds. 2He then said to the whole assembly of Israel, ‘If it seems good to you and if it is the will of the Lord our God, let us send word far and wide to the rest of our people throughout the territories of Israel, and also to the priests and Levites who are with them in their towns and pasture-lands, to come and join us. 3Let us bring the ark of our God back to us, for we did not enquire of13:3 Or we neglected it13:3 Or him during the reign of Saul.’ 4The whole assembly agreed to do this, because it seemed right to all the people.
5So David assembled all Israel, from the River Shihor in Egypt to Lebo Hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kiriath Jearim. 6David and all Israel went to Baalah of Judah (Kiriath Jearim) to bring up from there the ark of God the Lord, who is enthroned between the cherubim – the ark that is called by the Name.
7They moved the ark of God from Abinadab’s house on a new cart, with Uzzah and Ahio guiding it. 8David and all the Israelites were celebrating with all their might before God, with songs and with harps, lyres, tambourines, cymbals and trumpets.
9When they came to the threshing-floor of Kidon, Uzzah reached out his hand to steady the ark, because the oxen stumbled. 10The Lord’s anger burned against Uzzah, and he struck him down because he had put his hand on the ark. So he died there before God.
11Then David was angry because the Lord’s wrath had broken out against Uzzah, and to this day that place is called Perez Uzzah.13:11 Perez Uzzah means outbreak against Uzzah.
12David was afraid of God that day and asked, ‘How can I ever bring the ark of God to me?’ 13He did not take the ark to be with him in the City of David. Instead, he took it to the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite. 14The ark of God remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his house for three months, and the Lord blessed his household and everything he had.
گەڕاندنەوەی سندوقی پەیمان
1داود ڕاوێژی لەگەڵ هەموو ئەفسەرەکانی کرد، فەرماندەی هەزاران و سەدان، 2ئینجا بە هەموو کۆمەڵی ئیسرائیلی گوت: «ئەگەر پێتان باشە و بەپێی خواستی یەزدانی پەروەردگارمانە، با بەدوای هەموو هاونیشتیمانەکانماندا بنێرین لە هەموو لایەکی خاکی ئیسرائیل، هەروەها لەدوای ئەو کاهین و لێڤییانەی کە لە شارۆچکەکان و دەشتەکان لەگەڵیان دەژین، هەتا لەگەڵمان کۆببنەوە. 3با سندوقی خودامان بهێنینەوە لای خۆمان، چونکە بە درێژایی پاشایەتی شاول لێمان نەپرسیوەتەوە.» 4هەموو کۆمەڵەکەش گوتیان ئاوا دەکەین، چونکە لەلای هەموو گەل پەسەند بوو.
5ئیتر داود هەموو ئیسرائیلی لە ڕووباری شیحۆری میسرەوە هەتا دەروازەی حەمات کۆکردەوە، هەتا سندوقی خودا لە قیریەت یەعاریمەوە بهێنن. 6ئینجا داود و هەموو ئیسرائیل چوونە بەعلەی یەهودا کە قیریەت یەعاریمە، بۆ ئەوەی لەوێوە سندوقی خودای پەروەردگار بهێننەوە، ئەوەی لەنێوان کەڕوبەکان13:6 لەنێوان کەڕوبەکان: جووتێک پەیکەری بوونەوەری ئاسمانی باڵدارە، لە شێوەی ئاژەڵ و مرۆڤدایە، بۆ پارێزگاریکردن لە سندوقی پەیمان دانرابوو، بڕوانە دەرچوون 25:18 و عیبرانییەکان 9:5. لەسەر تەخت دانیشتووە، ئەو سندوقە کە ناوی لێنراوە «ناوەکە».
7لە ماڵی ئەبینادابەوە سندوقی خودایان لە عەرەبانەیەکی نوێ بارکرد، عوزا و ئەحیۆ عەرەبانەکەیان لێدەخوڕی. 8داود و هەموو ئیسرائیلیش بە هەموو توانایانەوە لەبەردەم خودا ئاهەنگیان دەگێڕا، بە سروود و قیسارە و ساز و دەف و سەنج و کەڕەناوە.
9کاتێک گەیشتنە سەر جۆخینەکەی13:9 جۆخین یان سەرخەرمان ئەو زەوییە تەرخانکراوەیە کە لەلایەن وەرزێر و جوتیارەوە بەکارهێنراوە بۆ کوتانی دانەوێڵە لەسەری لەدوای کۆکردنەوەی لە کێڵگە. کیدۆن، عوزا دەستی بۆ سندوقەکە درێژکرد و گرتی، چونکە گایەکان سەرسمیان دا. 10ئەو ساتە تووڕەیی یەزدان بەسەر عوزادا جۆشا و لێیدا، لەبەر ئەوەی دەستی بۆ سندوقەکە درێژکرد و هەر لەوێدا لەبەردەم خودا مرد.
11داودیش تووڕە بوو، چونکە یەزدان بە تەواوی عوزای لەناوبرد، ئەو شوێنەش هەتا ئەمڕۆ بە پێرێز عوزا13:11 واتا هەڵکوتانە سەر عوزا. ناودەبردرێت.
12ئەو ڕۆژە داود لە خودا ترسا و گوتی: «چۆن سندوقی خودا بۆ لای خۆم بهێنم؟» 13لەبەر ئەوە داود سندوقەکەی نەگواستەوە بۆ لای خۆی بۆ شاری داود، بەڵکو بردییە ماڵی عوبێد ئەدۆمی گەتی. 14سێ مانگ سندوقی خودا لە ماڵی عوبێد ئەدۆم مایەوە، یەزدانیش ماڵی عوبێد ئەدۆم و هەموو ئەو شتانەی کە هی ئەو بوون بەرەکەتداری کردن.
