1Praise awaits65:1 Or befits; the meaning of the Hebrew for this word is uncertain. you, our God, in Zion;
to you our vows will be fulfilled.
2You who answer prayer,
to you all people will come.
3When we were overwhelmed by sins,
you forgave65:3 Or made atonement for our transgressions.
4Blessed are those you choose
and bring near to live in your courts!
We are filled with the good things of your house,
of your holy temple.
5You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds,
God our Savior,
the hope of all the ends of the earth
and of the farthest seas,
6who formed the mountains by your power,
having armed yourself with strength,
7who stilled the roaring of the seas,
the roaring of their waves,
and the turmoil of the nations.
8The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders;
where morning dawns, where evening fades,
you call forth songs of joy.
9You care for the land and water it;
you enrich it abundantly.
The streams of God are filled with water
to provide the people with grain,
for so you have ordained it.65:9 Or for that is how you prepare the land
10You drench its furrows and level its ridges;
you soften it with showers and bless its crops.
11You crown the year with your bounty,
and your carts overflow with abundance.
12The grasslands of the wilderness overflow;
the hills are clothed with gladness.
13The meadows are covered with flocks
and the valleys are mantled with grain;
they shout for joy and sing.

Lovsång till Guds godhet
1För körledaren. En psalm av David, en sång.
2Gud, i stillhet lovprisas du i Sion,
till dig uppfylls löftet.
3Du hör bön,
till dig kommer alla människor.
4Mina syndiga ord är mig övermäktiga.
Du försonar våra överträdelser.
5Lycklig är den som du har utvalt
till att komma nära dig och bo i dina förgårdar.
Vi fylls av det goda från ditt hus,
det heliga i ditt tempel.
6Med väldiga gärningar svarar du oss i rättfärdighet,
Gud, du vår räddare,
du som är en tillflykt för hela jorden och de avlägsna haven,
7du som befäster bergen med makt,
rustad med styrka,
8du som stillar havens och vågornas brus
och folkens larm.
9De som bor långt bort fruktar för dina tecken.
Från öster till väster framkallar du jubel.
10Du tar hand om jorden och vattnar den,
du gör den bördig, rik.
Guds flod är full av vatten.
Du förbereder sådden,
för så har du ordnat det.
11Du vattnar fårorna, jämnar de upplöjda fälten,
låter regnskurar mjuka upp jorden,
och du välsignar dess växt.
12Du kröner året med det goda,
och dina vagnar fylls av överflöd.
13Betesmarkerna i ödemarken grönskar,
höjderna klär sig i glädjerop.
14Ängarna fylls av fårhjordar,
och dalarna täcks av säd.
Man sjunger och ropar av glädje.
