Psalm 121
A song of ascents.
1I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?
2My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
3He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
4indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5The Lord watches over you—
the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
6the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
7The Lord will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
8the Lord will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

O cântare de pelerinaj
1Îmi voi ridica ochii spre munți:
de unde‑mi va veni ajutorul?
2Ajutorul meu vine de la Domnul,
Care a făcut cerurile și pământul.
3El nu va îngădui să ți se clatine piciorul,
Păzitorul tău nu va dormita.
4Iată că nu dormitează, nici nu doarme,
Păzitorul lui Israel.
5Domnul este Păzitorul tău,
Domnul este umbra ta pe mâna ta cea dreaptă.
6Soarele nu te va bate în timpul zilei,
nici luna – în timpul nopții.
7Domnul te va păzi de tot ce este rău;
El îți va păzi sufletul.
8Domnul te va păzi la plecare și la venire,
de acum și până în veac!
