Psalm 63 – NIRV & CST

New International Reader’s Version

Psalm 63:1-11

Psalm 63

A psalm of David when he was in the Desert of Judah.

1God, you are my God.

I seek you with all my heart.

With all my strength I thirst for you

in this dry desert

where there isn’t any water.

2I have seen you in the sacred tent.

There I have seen your power and your glory.

3Your love is better than life.

So I will bring glory to you with my lips.

4I will praise you as long as I live.

I will call on your name when I lift up my hands in prayer.

5I will be as satisfied as if I had eaten the best food there is.

I will sing praise to you with my mouth.

6As I lie on my bed I remember you.

I think of you all night long.

7Because you have helped me,

I sing in the shadow of your wings.

8I hold on to you tightly.

Your powerful right hand takes good care of me.

9Those who want to kill me will be destroyed.

They will go down into the grave.

10They will be killed by swords.

They will become food for wild dogs.

11But the king will be filled with joy because of what God has done.

All those who make promises in God’s name will be able to brag.

But the mouths of liars will be shut.

Salmo 63:1-11

Salmo 63

Salmo de David, cuando estaba en el desierto de Judá.

1Oh Dios, tú eres mi Dios;

yo te busco intensamente.

Mi alma tiene sed de ti;

todo mi ser te anhela,

cual tierra seca, extenuada y sedienta.

2Te he visto en el santuario

y he contemplado tu poder y tu gloria.

3Tu amor es mejor que la vida;

por eso mis labios te alabarán.

4Te bendeciré mientras viva,

y alzando mis manos te invocaré.

5Mi alma quedará satisfecha

como de un suculento banquete,

y con labios jubilosos

te alabará mi boca.

6En mi lecho me acuerdo de ti;

pienso en ti toda la noche.

7A la sombra de tus alas cantaré,

porque tú eres mi ayuda.

8Mi alma se aferra a ti;

tu mano derecha me sostiene.

9Los que buscan mi muerte serán destruidos;

bajarán a las profundidades de la tierra.

10Serán entregados a la espada

y acabarán devorados por los chacales.

11El rey se regocijará en Dios;

todos los que invocan a Dios lo alabarán,

pero los mentirosos serán silenciados.
