Psalm 36
For the director of music. A psalm of David, the servant of the Lord.
1I have a message from God in my heart.
It is about the evil ways of anyone who sins.
They don’t have any respect for God.
2They praise themselves so much
that they can’t see their sin or hate it.
3Their mouths speak words that are evil and false.
They do not act wisely or do what is good.
4Even as they lie in bed they make evil plans.
They commit themselves to a sinful way of life.
They never say no to what is wrong.
5Lord, your love is as high as the heavens.
Your faithful love reaches up to the skies.
6Your holiness is as great as the height of the highest mountains.
You are as honest as the oceans are deep.
Lord, you keep people and animals safe.
7How priceless your faithful love is!
People find safety in the shadow of your wings.
8They eat well because there is more than enough in your house.
You let them drink from your river that flows with good things.
9You have the fountain of life.
We are filled with light because you give us light.
10Keep on loving those who know you.
Keep on doing right to those whose hearts are honest.
11Don’t let the feet of those who are proud step on me.
Don’t let the hands of those who are evil drive me away.
12See how those who do evil have fallen!
They are thrown down and can’t get up.
Salmo 36Salmo 36 Ang titulo sa Hebreo: Ginsulat ni David nga alagad sang Ginoo. Sa direktor sang mga manugkanta.
Ang Pagkamalaot sang Tawo kag ang Kaayo sang Dios
1Ini ang mensahi nga ginahuptan ko sa akon tagipusuon
parte sa pagkamakasasala sang malaot nga tawo:36:1 Ini ang mensahi… malaot nga tawo: ukon, Nagapanghikot ang sala sa tagipusuon sang malaot nga tawo.
Ang malaot nga tawo wala sing kahadlok sa Dios.
2Tungod kay mataas ang pagtan-aw niya sa iya kaugalingon,
indi niya makita ang iya kalaot agod kaugtan niya kuntani ini.
3Malaot kag kabutigan ang iya ginahambal.
Wala na niya ginahimo kon ano ang husto kag ang maayo.
4Bisan nagahigda siya nagaplano siya sing malain.
Desidido siya nga maghimo sang indi maayo,
kag wala niya ginasikway ang malaot.
5Ang imo gugma kag katutom, Ginoo, indi matakos;
mas mataas pa ini sa kalangitan.
6Ang imo pagkamatarong malig-on pareho sa mataas nga mga bukid.
Ang imo paghukom indi matungkad pareho sa kadadalman sang dagat.
Ginatatap mo, Ginoo, ang mga tawo kag mga sapat.
7Daw ano kabilidhon sang imo gugma, O Dios.
Ginaprotektaran mo ang mga tawo pareho sang pagprotektar sang pispis sa iya mga buto sa idalom sang iya pakpak.
8Nagapaayaw sila sa kabugana sang pagkaon sa imo balay;
ginapainom mo sila sa imo manami nga tubig.
9Kay ikaw ang ginahalinan sang kabuhi.
Ginapasanagan mo kami, kag nagakasanagan ang amon hunahuna.
10Padayuna ang imo paghigugma sa mga nagakilala sa imo.
Padayuna ang imo paghimo sang matarong sa mga nagakabuhi sang husto.
11Indi pagtuguti nga pierdihon ako sang akon malaot kag bugalon nga mga kaaway.
12Malaglag gid man inang malaot nga mga tawo kag indi na gid makabangon.
