Psalm 110
A psalm of David.
1The Lord says to my lord,
“Sit at my right hand
until I put your enemies
under your control.”
2The Lord will make your royal authority spread out from Zion to other lands.
He says, “Rule over your enemies who are all around you.”
3Your troops will be willing to fight for you
on the day of battle.
Your young men will be wrapped in holy majesty.
They will come to you like the fresh dew that falls early in the morning.
4The Lord has made a promise.
He will not change his mind.
He has said, “You are a priest forever,
just like Melchizedek.”
5The Lord is at your right hand.
He will crush kings on the day when he is angry.
6He will judge the nations. He will pile up dead bodies on the field of battle.
He will crush the rulers of the whole earth.
7He will drink from a brook along the way and receive new strength.
And so he will win the battle.
Salmo 110
Salmo davídico.
1O Senhor disse ao meu Senhor:
“Senta-te à minha direita
até que eu faça dos teus inimigos
um estrado para os teus pés”.
2O Senhor estenderá o cetro de teu poder desde Sião,
e dominarás sobre os teus inimigos!
3Quando convocares as tuas tropas,

4O Senhor jurou e não se arrependerá:
“Tu és sacerdote para sempre,
segundo a ordem de Melquisedeque”.
5O Senhor está à tua direita;
ele esmagará reis no dia da sua ira.
6Julgará as nações, amontoando os mortos
e esmagando governantes110.6 Ou cabeças em toda a extensão da terra.
7No caminho beberá de um ribeiro,
e então erguerá a cabeça.
