Moses Blesses the Tribes
1Here is the blessing that Moses, the man of God, gave to the Israelites before he died. 2He said,
“The Lord came from Mount Sinai.
Like the rising sun, he shone on his people from Mount Seir.
He shone on them from Mount Paran.
He came with large numbers of angels.
He came from his mountain slopes in the south.
3Lord, I’m sure you love your people.
All the holy ones are in your hands.
At your feet all of them bow down.
And you teach them.
4They learn the law Moses gave us.
It belongs to the community of the people of Jacob.
5The Lord was king over Israel
when the leaders of the people came together.
The tribes of Israel were also there.”
6Here’s what Moses said about Reuben.
“Let Reuben live. Don’t let him die.
And do not let his people be few.”
7Here’s what Moses said about Judah.
“Lord, listen to Judah cry out.
Bring him to his people.
By his own power he stands up for himself.
Lord, help him fight against his enemies!”
8Here’s what Moses said about Levi.
“Your Thummim and Urim belong to your faithful servant.
You tested him at Massah.
You argued with him at the waters of Meribah.
9Levi didn’t show special favor to anyone.
He did not spare his father and mother.
He didn’t excuse his relatives or his children.
But he watched over your word.
He guarded your covenant.
10He teaches your rules to the people of Jacob.
He teaches your law to Israel.
He offers incense to you.
He sacrifices whole burnt offerings on your altar.
11Lord, bless all his skills.
Be pleased with everything he does.
Destroy those who rise up against him.
Strike down his enemies until they can’t get up.”
12Here’s what Moses said about Benjamin.
“Let the one the Lord loves rest safely in him.
The Lord guards him all day long.
The one the Lord loves rests in his arms.”
13Here’s what Moses said about Joseph.
“May the Lord bless Joseph’s land.
May he bless it with dew from the highest heavens.
May he bless it with water from the deepest oceans.
14May he bless it with the best crops the sun can produce.
May he bless it with the finest crops the moon can give.
15May he bless it with the best products of the age-old mountains.
May he bless it with the many crops of the ancient hills.
16May he bless it with the best gifts that fill the earth.
May he bless it with the favor of the God who spoke out of the burning bush.
Let all these blessings rest on the head of Joseph.
Let them rest on the head of the one who is prince among his brothers.
17His glory is like the glory of a bull born first to its mother.
His horns are like the horns of a wild ox.
He will use them to destroy the nations.
He’ll wipe out the nations that are very far away.
The ten thousands of men in Ephraim’s army are like the bull and the ox.
So are the thousands in the army of Manasseh.”
18Here’s what Moses said about Zebulun and Issachar.
“Zebulun, be filled with joy when you go out.
Issachar, be joyful in your tents.
19You will call for other people to go to the mountain.
There you will offer the sacrifices of those who do what is right.
You will enjoy the many good things your ships bring you.
You will enjoy treasures that are hidden in the sand.”
20Here’s what Moses said about Gad.
“May the God who gives Gad more land be praised!
Gad lives there like a lion
that tears off arms and heads.
21He chose the best land for his livestock.
The leader’s share was kept for him.
The leaders of the people came together.
Then Gad carried out the Lord’s holy plan.
He carried out the Lord’s decisions for Israel.”
22Here’s what Moses said about Dan.
“Dan is like a lion’s cub
that charges out of the land of Bashan.”
23Here’s what Moses said about Naphtali.
“The Lord greatly favors Naphtali.
The Lord fills him with his blessing.
Naphtali’s land will reach south to the Sea of Galilee.”
24Here’s what Moses said about Asher.
“Asher is the most blessed of sons.
Let his brothers be kind to him.
Let Asher wash his feet with olive oil.
25The bars of his gates will be made out of iron and bronze.
His strength will last as long as he lives.
26“There is no one like the God of Israel.
He rides across the heavens to help you.
He rides on the clouds in his glory.
27God lives forever! You can run to him for safety.
His powerful arms are always there to carry you.
He will drive out your enemies to make room for you.
He’ll say to you, ‘Destroy them!’
28So Israel will live in safety.
Jacob will live secure
in a land that has grain and fresh wine.
There the heavens drop their dew.
29Israel, how blessed you are!
Who is like you?
The Lord has saved you.
He keeps you safe. He helps you.
He’s like a glorious sword to you.
Your enemies will bow down to you in fear.
You will walk on the highest places of their lands.”
Ginbendisyunan ni Moises ang mga Tribo sang Israel
1Amo ini ang bendisyon nga ginhambal ni Moises nga alagad sang Dios sa mga Israelinhon sa wala pa siya mapatay. 2Nagsiling siya,
“Nag-abot ang Ginoo halin sa Sinai;
nagpahayag siya sa aton halin sa Bukid sang Seir pareho sang pagbutlak sang adlaw.
Nagsilak siya halin sa Bukid sang Paran.
Nag-abot siya upod sa mga linibo ka mga anghel,
kag ang iya tuo nga kamot nagabitbit sang nagadabadaba nga kalayo.33:2 Nag-abot… kalayo: ukon, Nag-abot siya halin sa Meriba Kadesh, halin sa bagatnan, sa ubos sang iya mga kabukiran.
3Ginahigugma gid sang Ginoo ang iya katawhan.
Ginaprotektaran niya ining mga tawo nga iya pinili.
Gani ginasunod nila siya kag ginatuman ang iya mando.
4Ginhatag sa aton ni Moises ang kasuguan bilang palanublion naton nga mga kaliwat ni Jacob.
5Nangin hari ang Ginoo sang Israel33:5 Israel: sa Hebreo, Jeshurun, nga ang buot silingon, matarong. sang magtipon ang ila mga pangulo kag ang ila mga tribo.”
6Nagsiling si Moises parte sa tribo ni Reuben,
“Kabay pa nga indi madula ang mga kaliwat ni Reuben bisan diutay lang sila.”
7Nagsiling si Moises parte sa tribo ni Juda,
“O Ginoo, pamatii ang pagpangayo sang bulig sang tribo ni Juda.
Ibalik sila liwat sa mga tribo sang Israel.
Protektari sila kag buligi kontra sa ila mga kaaway.”
8Nagsiling si Moises parte sa tribo ni Levi,
“O Ginoo, ginhatag mo ang Thumim kag Urim33:8 Thumim kag Urim: Duha ka butang nga ginagamit sa paghibalo sang kabubut-on sang Dios. sa imo matutom nga mga alagad nga amo ang mga kaliwat ni Levi.
Gintilawan mo sila sa Masa kag ginsabdong sa tuburan sang Meriba.
9Nagpakita sila sing dako nga pag-unong sa imo sang sa ila mga ginikanan, mga utod, kag mga kabataan.
Gintuman nila ang imo pulong, kag gintipigan nila ang imo kasugtanan.
10Tudluan nila ang mga Israelinhon sang imo mga pagsulundan kag mga sugo,
kag magahalad sila sang mga insenso kag mga halad nga ginasunog sa imo halaran.
11O Ginoo, pakamaayuha sila, kag kabay pa nga malipay ka sa tanan nila nga ginahimo.
Laglaga ang ila mga kaaway agod indi na makabangon pa.”
12Nagsiling si Moises parte sa tribo ni Benjamin,
“Palangga sang Ginoo ang tribo ni Benjamin,
kag ginapalayo niya sila sa katalagman kag ginaprotektaran sa bilog nga adlaw.”
13Nagsiling si Moises parte sa tribo ni Jose,
“Kabay pa nga pakamaayuhon sang Ginoo ang ila duta kag padal-an permi sang ulan kag sang tubig halin sa idalom sang duta.
14Kabay pa nga sa bulig sang adlaw magapamunga ang ila mga tanom sang maayo nga mga bunga sa tion sang tigbulunga sini.
15Kabay pa nga ang ila madugay na nga mga bukid magapatubas sing maayo kag bugana nga mga bunga.
16Kabay pa nga ang ila duta magapatubas sang pinakamaayo nga mga produkto sa kaayo sang Dios nga nagpahayag sa nagadabadaba nga kahoy-kahoy.
Kabay pa nga ini nga mga pagpakamaayo magapabilin sa tribo ni Jose kay labaw siya sa iya mga utod.
17Ang iya kusog pareho sa kusog sang turo nga baka nga kamagulangan.
Ang iya gahom pareho sa gahom sang sungay sang talunon nga baka.
Paagi sini laglagon niya ang mga nasyon bisan ang sa pinakamalayo nga parte sang kalibutan.
Amo ini ang akon pagpakamaayo sa madamo nga mga katawhan sang Efraim kag Manase.”
18Nagsiling si Moises parte sa tribo ni Zebulun kag ni Isacar,
“Magkalipay ang tribo ni Zebulun, kay magauswag sila sa ila pagnegosyo sa iban nga mga lugar.
Magkalipay man ang tribo ni Isacar kay magauswag sila sa ila lugar.
19Hagaron nila ang mga tawo sa pagkadto sa bukid sa paghalad sang husto nga mga halad sa Dios.
Magaselebrar sila tungod sa madamo nga pagpakamaayo nga nakuha nila sa dagat kag sa baybayon.”
20Nagsiling si Moises parte sa tribo ni Gad,
“Dalayawon ang Dios nga nagapalapad sang teritoryo sang tribo ni Gad!
Nagakabuhi sila sa sini nga duta pareho sa leon nga handa sa paggus-ab sang butkon ukon sang ulo sang iya mga kaaway.
21Ginpili nila ang pinakamaayo nga duta nga bagay para sa mga pangulo.
Kon magtipon ang mga manugdumala sang katawhan sang Israel, ginasunod nila ang mga ginapatuman sang Ginoo kag ang iya mga pagsulundan para sa Israel.”
22Nagsiling si Moises parte sa tribo ni Dan,
“Ang tribo ni Dan pareho sa bata sang leon nga nagalumpat halin sa Bashan.”
23Nagsiling si Moises parte sa tribo ni Naftali,
“Ang tribo ni Naftali bugana sang pagpakamaayo sang Ginoo. Kabay pa nga maangkon nila ang duta sa nakatundan 33:23 nakatundan: Amo ini sa Septuagint, Syriac, kag Latin Vulgate. Sa Hebreo, linaw. kag sa bagatnan.”
24Nagsiling si Moises parte sa tribo ni Asher,
“Kabay pa nga pakamaayuhon ang tribo ni Asher labaw sa tanan nga tribo sang Israel.
Kabay pa nga malipay sa ila ang ila kapareho nga mga Israelinhon kag mangin bugana ang ila lana.
25Kabay pa nga ang mga puwertahan sang ila mga banwa protektado sang mga trangka nga salsalon kag saway,
kag kabay pa nga magpabilin ang ila pagkagamhanan samtang buhi sila.
26Wala sing pareho sa Dios sang Israel.33:26 Israel: sa Hebreo, Jeshurun, nga ang buot silingon, matarong.
Nagasakay siya sa mga panganod sa pagbulig sa inyo. Sa iya gahom nagaagi siya sa kalangitan.
27Ang wala sing katapusan nga Dios amo ang inyo dalangpan;
alay-ayan niya kamo sang iya wala sing katapusan nga gahom.
Ipatabog niya sa inyo ang inyo mga kaaway,
kag magsugo siya sa inyo sa paglaglag sa ila.
28Gani ang Israel magapuyo nga malayo sa katalagman, sa duta nga bugana sang uyas kag duga sang ubas,
kag sa diin ang tun-og nga halin sa langit nagahatag sang tubig sa duta.
29Bulahan kamo, O katawhan sang Israel!
Wala sing pareho sa inyo—isa ka katawhan nga ginluwas sang Ginoo.
Ang Ginoo amo ang magaprotektar kag magabulig sa inyo,
kag siya ang magapakig-away para sa inyo.
Magakamang ang inyo mga kaaway pakadto sa inyo, kag tapakon ninyo sila sa likod.”33:29 tapakon ninyo sila sa likod: ukon, tasak-tasakon ninyo ang ila mga simbahan sa mataas nga mga lugar.
