1የይሁዳ ዘሮች፤
ፋሬስ፣ ኤስሮም፣ ከርሚ፣ ሆር፣ ሦባል።
2የሦባል ልጅ ራያ ኢኤትን ወለደ፤ ኢኤት ደግሞ አሑማይንና ላሃድን ወለደ፤ እነዚህም የጾርዓውያን ጐሣዎች ናቸው።
3የኤጣም ወንዶች ልጆች4፥3 አንዳንድ የሰብዓ ሊቃናት ቅጆች (እንዲሁም ቩልጌት ይመ) ከዚህ ጋር ይስማማሉ፤ ዕብራይስጡ ግን፣ አባት ይላል እነዚህ ናቸው፤
ኢይዝራኤል፣ ይሽማ፣ ይደባሽ። እኅታቸው ሃጽሌልፎኒ ትባላለች። 4ፋኑኤል ጌዶርን ወለደ፤ ኤጽር ደግሞ ሑሻምን ወለደ4፥4 ቃል በቃል ሲተረጐም አባት ሆነ ማለት ነው፤ ይህም ምናልባት፣ አባት ማለት፣ የጐሣው፣ እንዝላት፣ እንጅላት ወይም፣ መሠረት መሆኑን የሚያመለክት ነው። እነዚህ የኤፍራታ የበኵር ልጅና የቤተ ልሔም አባት የሆነው የሆር ዘሮች ናቸው።
5የቴቁሔ አባት አሽሑር፣ ሔላና ነዕራ የተባሉ ሁለት ሚስቶች ነበሩት።
6ነዕራም አሑዛምን፣ ኦፌርን፣ ቴምኒን፣ አሐሽታሪን ወለደችለት፤ የነዕራ ዘሮች እነዚህ ነበሩ።
7የሔላ ወንዶች ልጆች፤
ዴሬት፣ ይጽሐር፣ ኤትናን ናቸው። 8የቆጽ ወንዶች ልጆች ዓኑብ፣ ጾቤባና፣ የሃሩም ልጅ የአሐርሔል ጐሳዎች ናቸው።
9ያቤጽ ከወንድሞቹ ይልቅ የተከበረ ሰው ነበረ፤ እናቱም “በጣር የወለድሁት” ስትል ስሙን ያቤጽ አለችው። 10ያቤጽም፣ “አቤቱ፤ እንድትባርከኝ፣ ግዛቴንም እንድታሰፋልኝ እለምንሃለሁ፤ እጅህ ከእኔ ጋር ትሁን፤ ከሥቃይና ከጕዳትም ጠብቀኝ” በማለት ወደ እስራኤል አምላክ ጮኸ። እግዚአብሔርም የለመነውን ሰጠው።
11የሹሐ ወንድም ክሉብ ምሒርን ወለደ፤ ምሒርም ኤሽቶን ወለደ። 12ኤሽቶን ቤትራፋንና ፋሴሐን ወለደ፤ የዒር ናሐሽን ከተሞች የቈረቈረ እርሱ ነው4፥12 ወይም፣ የዒር ናሐሽ አባት ነው። እነዚህ የሬካ ሰዎች ናቸው።
13የቄኔዝ ወንዶች ልጆች፤
ጎቶንያል፣ ሠራያ።
የጎቶንያል ወንዶች ልጆች፤
ሐታት፣ መዖኖታይ4፥13 አንዳንድ የሰብዓ ሊቃናት ትርጕሞችና የቩልጌት ቅጅ ከዚህ ጋር ይስማማሉ፤ ዕብራይስጡ ግን፣ መዖኖታይ የሚለውን አይጨምርም።። 14መዖኖታይ ደግሞ ዖፍራን ወለደ።
ሠራያ የኢዮአብ አባት ሲሆን፣ ኢዮአብ ጌሐራሺምን4፥14 ጌሐራሺም ማለት የእደ ጥበብ ሸለቆ ማለት ነው። ወለደ፤ የጥበበ እድ ባለሙያዎች ስለ ነበሩ ይህ ስም ተሰጣቸው።
15የዮፎኔ ልጅ የካሌብ ወንዶች ልጆች፤
ዒሩ፣ ኤላ፣ ነዓም።

ቄኔዝ።
16የይሃሌልኤል ወንዶች ልጆች፤
ዚፍ፣ ዚፋ፣ ቲርያ፣ አሣርኤል።
17የዕዝራ ወንዶች ልጆች፤
ዬቴር፣ ሜሬድ፣ ዔፌር፣ ያሎን።
ከሜሬድ ሚስቶች አንዲቱ ማርያምን፣ ሸማይንና የኤሽትምዓን አባት ይሽባን ወለደች። 18አይሁዳዊት ሚስቱም የጌዶርን አባት ዮሬድን፣ የሦኮን አባት ሔቤርን፣ የዛኖዋን አባት ይቁቲኤልን ወለደች፤ እነዚህም ሜሬድ ያገባት የፈርዖን ልጅ የቢትያ ልጆች ናቸው።
19የሆዲያ ሚስት የነሐም እኅት ወንዶች ልጆች፤
የገርሚው የቅዒላ አባት፣ ማዕካታዊው ኤሽትሞዓ።
20የሺሞን ወንዶች ልጆች፤
አምኖን፣ ሪና፣ ቤንሐናን፣ ቲሎን። የይሺዒ ዘሮች፤ ዞሔትና ቤንዞሔት።
21የይሁዳ ልጅ የሴሎም ወንዶች ልጆች፤
የሌካ አባት ዔር፣ የመሪሳና በቤት አሽቤዓ የበፍታ ጨርቅ ሠሪ የሆኑት ጐሣዎች አባት ለዓዳ፣
22ዮቂም፣ የኮዜባ ሰዎች፣ ኢዮአስ፣ ሞዓብን የገዛ ሣራፍና ያሹቢሌሔም። ታሪካቸውም ጥንታዊነት ያለው ነው። 23ሰዎቹ በነጣዒምና በጋዴራ የሚቀመጡ ሸክላ ሠሪዎች ነበሩ፤ በዚያም በመቀመጥ ለንጉሡ ሸክላ ይሠሩ ነበር።

24የስምዖን ዘሮች፤
ነሙኤል፣ ያሚን፣ ያሪን፣ ዛራ፣ ሳኡል፤
25ሰሎም የሳኡል ልጅ ነው፤ መብሳም የሰሎም ልጅ ነው፤
ማስማዕ ደግሞ የመብሳም ልጅ ነው።
26የማስማዕ ዘሮች፤
ልጁ ሃሙኤል፣ ልጁ ዘኩር፣ ልጁ ሰሜኢ።
27ሰሜኢ ዐሥራ ስድስት ወንዶችና ስድስት ሴቶች ልጆች ነበሩት፤ ወንድሞቹ ግን ብዙ ልጆች አልነበሯቸውም፤ ስለዚህ ጐሣቸው በሙሉ እንደ ይሁዳ ሕዝብ ብዙ አልነበረም። 28የኖሩባቸውም ቦታዎች እነዚህ ናቸው፦ ቤርሳቤህ፣ ሞላዳ፣ ሐጻርሹዓል፣ 29ቢልሃ፣ ዔጼም፣ ቶላድ፣ 30ቤቱኤል፣ ሔርማ፣ ጺቅላግ፣ 31ቤትማርካቦት፣ ሐጸርሱሲም፣ ቤት ቢሪ፣ ሽዓራይም፤ እስከ ዳዊት ዘመነ መንግሥት ድረስ የኖሩት በእነዚህ ከተሞች ነው። 32በአካባቢያቸው የሚገኙት መንደሮች ደግሞ ኤጣም፣ ዐይን፣ ሬሞን፣ ቶኬን፣ ዓሻን የተባሉ አምስት ከተሞች ናቸው፤ 33በእነዚህም ከተሞች ዙሪያ እስከ ባኣል የሚዘልቁ መንደሮች ነበሩ፤ መኖሪያቸው በዚሁ ሲሆን፣ የትውልድ መዝገብም አላቸው።
34ሞሾባብ፣ የምሌክ፣
የአሜስያስ ልጅ ኢዮስያስ፣ 35ኢዮኤል፣
የዮሺብያ ልጅ፣ የሠራያ ልጅ፣ የዓሢኤል ልጅ ኢዩ
36እንዲሁም ኤልዩዔናይ፣ ያዕቆባ፣ የሾሐያ፣
ዓሣያ፣ ዓዲዔል፣ ዩሲምኤል፣ በናያስ፣
37የሺፊ ልጅ ዚዛ፣ የአሎን ልጅ፣ የይዳያ ልጅ፣ የሺምሪ ልጅ፣ የሸማያ ልጅ።
38እነዚህ ስማቸው ከላይ የተዘረዘረው ሰዎች የየጐሣቸው መሪዎች ነበሩ፤ የየቤተ ሰባቸውም ብዛት እጅግ በጣም እየጨመረ ሄደ፤ 39እነርሱም ለከብቶቻቸው ግጦሽ ፍለጋ ከሸለቆው በስተ ምሥራቅ እስካለው እስከ ጌዶር መግቢያ ድረስ ዘልቀው ሄዱ። 40በዚያም ለምለምና ያማረ የግጦሽ ቦታ አገኙ፤ ምድሪቱም ሰፊ፣ ሰላምና ጸጥታ የሰፈነባት ነበረች። በቀድሞ ዘመን በዚህ ምድር ይኖሩ የነበሩት አንዳንድ የካም ዘሮች ናቸው።
41እነዚህ ስማቸው ከላይ የተዘረዘረው ወደዚህ ቦታ የመጡት በይሁዳ ንጉሥ በሕዝቅያስ ዘመን ነበረ፤ እነርሱም በድንኳኖቻቸው ውስጥ በነበሩት በካም ወገኖችና በምዑናውያን ላይ አደጋ በመጣል ፈጽመው አጠፏቸው4፥41 የዕብራይስጡ ቃል አንድን ሰው ወይም ነገር ሙሉ በሙሉ በማጥፋት ለእግዚአብሔር መስጠትን ያመለክታል።፤ ይህም እስከ ዛሬ ድረስ በግልጽ ይታያል። ለመንጎቻቸው በቂ የግጦሽ ቦታ ስላገኙም፣ በዚያ መኖር ጀመሩ። 42ከእነዚሁ አምስት መቶ የሚሆኑ የስምዖን ወገኖች በይሽዒ ልጆች በፈላጥያ፣ በነዓርያ፣ በረፋያና በዑዝኤል ተመርተው የሴይርን ኰረብታማ አገር ወረሩ። 43አምልጠው የቀሩትን አማሌቃውያን ፈጅተው እስከ ዛሬ በዚያው ይኖራሉ።

Seraiah was the father of Joab,

Kenaz.
16The sons of Jehallelel:
Ziph, Ziphah, Tiria and Asarel.
