የሰሎሞን ሹማምት
1ንጉሥ ሰሎሞን በእስራኤል ሁሉ ላይ ነገሠ፤
2ዋና ዋናዎቹ ሹማምቱም እነዚህ ነበሩ፤
የሳዶቅ ልጅ ዓዛርያስ፣ ካህን፤
3የሺሻ ልጆች ኤሊሖሬፍና አኪያ፣ ጸሓፊዎች፤
የአሒሉድ ልጅ ኢዮሣፍጥ፣ ታሪክ ጸሓፊ፤
4የዮዳሄ ልጅ በናያስ፣ የሰራዊቱ ዋና አዛዥ፤
ሳዶቅና አብያታር፣ ካህናት፤
5የናታን ልጅ ዓዛርያስ፣ የአውራጃ ገዦች የበላይ ኀላፊ፤
የናታን ልጅ ዛቡድ፣ ካህንና የንጉሡ የቅርብ አማካሪ፤
6አሒሳር፣ የቤተ መንግሥቱ አዛዥ፤
የዓብዳ ልጅ አዶኒራም የግዳጅ ሥራ ተቈጣጣሪ።
7እንዲሁም ሰሎሞን ለንጉሡና ለንጉሡ ቤት የሚሆነውን ቀለብ ከመላው እስራኤል የሚሰበስቡ ዐሥራ ሁለት የአውራጃ ገዦች ነበሩት፤ እነዚህም እያንዳንዳቸው በዓመት ውስጥ የወር ቀለብ የሚያቀርቡ ነበሩ።
8ስማቸውም እንደሚከተለው ነው፤
ቤንሑር፣ በኰረብታማው በኤፍሬም ምድር፤
9ቤንጼቄር፣ በማቃጽ፣ በሻዓልቢም፣ በቤትሳሜስ፣ በኤሎንቤትሐናን፤
10ቤንሔሴድ፣ በአሩቦት ውስጥ የሚገኙት ሰኰትና የኦፌር አገር በሙሉ የእርሱ ነበር፤
11ቤን አሚናዳብ፤ በናፎት ዶር፣ እርሱም የሰሎሞንን ልጅ ጣፈትን አግብቶ የነበረ ነው፤4፥11 ወይም በናፎት ቁመት ተብሎ ሊተረጐም ይችላል።
12የአሒሉድ ልጅ በዓና፣ በታዕናክና በመጊዶ እንዲሁም ከጻርታን ቀጥሎ ቍልቍል እስከ ኢይዝራኤል ባለው በቤትሳን ሁሉ፣ ከዚያም ዮቅምዓምን ተሻግሮ እስከ አቤልምሖላና ድረስ፣
13ቤንጌበር፣ በገለዓድ ራሞት ከተማ እዚያው ገለዓድ ውስጥ የምናሴ ልጅ የኢያዕር መንደሮች፣ በባሳንም የአርጎብ አውራጃ እንዲሁም በሮቻቸው የናስ መወርወሪያ በሆኑ ስድሳ ባለ ቅጥር ታላላቅ ከተሞች፤
14የዒዶ ልጅ አሒናዳብ፤ በማሃናይም፣
15አኪማአስ በንፍታሌም፣ እርሱም የሰሎሞንን ልጅ ባስማትን አግብቶ የነበረ ነው፤
16የኩሲ ልጅ በዓና፤ በአሴርና በበዓሎት፣
17የፋሩዋ ልጅ ኢዮሣፍጥ በይሳኮር፣
18የኤላ ልጅ ሳሚ በብንያም፣
19የኡሪ ልጅ ጌበር፤ በአሞራውያን ንጉሥ በሴዎን ምድር፣ በባሳን ንጉሥ በዐግ አገር፣ እርሱም የአውራጃው ብቸኛ ገዥ ነበር።
ለሰሎሞን በየቀኑ የሚገባለት ቀለብ
20የይሁዳና የእስራኤል ሕዝቦች ብዛታቸው እንደ ባሕር ዳር አሸዋ ሆነ፤ ይበሉ፣ ይጠጡና ይደሰቱም ነበር። 21ሰሎሞንም ከወንዙ4፥21 በዚህና በ24 ላይ የተጠቀሰው የኤፍራጥስ ወንዝ ነው። አንሥቶ እስከ ፍልስጥኤማውያን ምድር፣ ከዚያም እስከ ግብፅ ዳርቻ ያሉትን መንግሥታት ሁሉ ገዛ፤ እነዚህም አገሮች ግብር አመጡለት፤ በሕይወት ዘመኑም ሁሉ ተገዙለት።
22ለሰሎሞን በየቀኑ የሚገባለትም ቀለብ ይህ ነበር፤ ሠላሳ ኮር4፥22 5500 ኪሎ ግራም ያህል ነው። ማለፊያ ዱቄት፣ ስድሳ ኮር4፥22 11000 ኪሎ ግራም ያህል ነው። መናኛ ዱቄት፣ 23ዐሥር ቅልብ ሰንጋዎች፣ ሃያ ግጦሽ መሬት ላይ የሚውሉ በሬዎች፣ መቶ በግና ፍየል እንዲሁም ዋሊያ፣ ሚዳቋ፣ የበረሓ ፍየልና ምርጥ አዕዋፍ። 24ከወንዙ በስተ ምዕራብ፣ ከቲፍሳ እስከ ጋዛ ያሉትን መንግሥታት ስለ ገዛ፣ በሁሉም አቅጣጫ ሰላም ሆኖለት ነበር። 25በሰሎሞን ዘመን ሁሉ ከዳን አንሥቶ እስከ ቤርሳቤህ ያለው ይሁዳና እስራኤል፣ እያንዳንዱ ሰው ከወይኑና ከበለሱ ጥላ ሥር በሰላም ለመኖር በቃ።
26ሰሎሞን ሠረገላ የሚጐትቱ ፈረሶች የሚያድሩበት አራት ሺሕ ጋጣና ዐሥራ ሁለት ሺሕ ፈረሶች4፥26 ዕብራይስጡና አንዳንድ የሰብዓ ሊቃናት ትርጕሞች አርባ ይላሉ። ነበሩት4፥26 ወይም ሠረገለኞች ተብሎ መተርጐም ይችላል።።
27የየአውራጃው ሹማምትም በየወር ተራቸው ንጉሡን ሰሎሞንንና ወደ ንጉሡ ማእድ የሚቀርቡትን ሁሉ ምንም ሳያጓድሉ ይቀልቡ ነበር፤ 28እንዲሁም ለሠረገላ ፈረሶችና ለፈጣን ፈረሶች የተመደበውን ገብስና ጭድ ከተፈለገው ቦታ ድረስ ያመጡ ነበር።
የሰሎሞን ጥበብ
29አምላክ ለሰሎሞን ጥበብንና እጅግ ታላቅ ማስተዋልን እንዲሁም በባሕር ዳር እንዳለ አሸዋ የልብ ስፋትን ሰጠው። 30የሰሎሞን ጥበብ ከምሥራቅ ሰዎች ሁሉ ጥበብ በጣም የላቀ ከግብፅም ጥበብ ሁሉ የበለጠ ነበር፤ 31እርሱም ከማንም ሰው ይልቅ ጥበበኛ ነበር፣ ከኢይዝራኤላዊው ከኤታን፣ ከማሖል ልጆች ከሄማንና ከከልቀድ ደግሞም ከደራል ይልቅ ጥበበኛ ነበር፤ ዝናውም በዙሪያው ባሉት አሕዛብ ሁሉ ተሰማ። 32እርሱም ሦስት ሺሕ ምሳሌዎችን ተናገረ፤ የመሓልዩም ቍጥር ሺሕ አምስት ነበር። 33ከሊባኖስ ዝግባ አንሥቶ በቅጥር ግንብ ላይ እስከሚበቅለው ሂሶጵ ስለ ዕፀዋት ተናግሯል፤ እንዲሁም ስለ እንስሳት፣ ስለ ወፎች፣ በሆዳቸው ስለሚሳቡ እንስሳትና ስለ ዓሦችም ተናግሯል፤ 34ጥበቡን ከሰሙት ከዓለም ነገሥታት ሁሉ የተላኩ፣ የየአገሩ ሰዎች ሁሉ የሰሎሞንን ጥበብ ለማድመጥ መጡ።
1So king Solomon was king over all Israel. 2And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,4.2 priest: or, chief officer 3Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.4.3 scribes: or, secretaries4.3 recorder: or, remembrancer 4And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests: 5And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king’s friend: 6And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.4.6 tribute: or, levy
7¶ And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision. 8And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:4.8 The son…: or, Ben-hur 9The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Beth-shemesh, and Elon-beth-hanan:4.9 The son…: or, Ben-dekar 10The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:4.10 The son…: or, Ben-hesed 11The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:4.11 The son…: or, Ben-abinadab 12Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Beth-shean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Beth-shean to Abel-meholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam: 13The son of Geber, in Ramoth-gilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars:4.13 The son…: or, Ben-geber 14Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:4.14 Mahanaim: or, to Mahanaim 15Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife: 16Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth: 17Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar: 18Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin: 19Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.
20¶ Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry. 21And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.
22¶ And Solomon’s provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,4.22 provision: Heb. bread4.22 measures: Heb. cors 23Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl. 24For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him. 25And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, all the days of Solomon.4.25 safely: Heb. confidently
26¶ And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen. 27And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon’s table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing. 28Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.4.28 dromedaries: or, mules, or, swift beasts
29¶ And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore. 30And Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt. 31For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about. 32And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five. 33And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes. 34And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
