መዝሙር 16
እግዚአብሔር ርስቴ
የዳዊት ቅኔ።
1አምላክ ሆይ፤ መጠጊያዬ ነህና፣
በከለላህ ሰውረኝ።
2እግዚአብሔርን፣ “አንተ ጌታዬ ነህ፤
ከአንተ በቀር በጎነት የለኝም”
አልሁት።
3በምድር ያሉ ቅዱሳን፣
ሙሉ ደስታ የማገኝባቸው ክቡራን ናቸው።16፥3 ወይም በምድሪቱ ላሉ አረማውያን፣ ካህናትና ደስ ለተሰኙባቸው መኳንንት ሁሉ ይህን እላለሁ
4ሌሎችን አማልክት የሚከተሉ፣
ሐዘናቸው ይበዛል፤
እኔ ግን የደም ቍርባናቸውን አላፈስስም፤
ስማቸውንም በአፌ አልጠራም፤
5እግዚአብሔር የርስት ድርሻዬና ጽዋዬ ነው፤
ዕጣዬም በእጅህ ናት።
6መካለያ ገመድ ባማረ ስፍራ ተጥሎልኛል፤
በርግጥም የተዋበች ርስት አግኝቻለሁ።
7የሚመክረኝን እግዚአብሔርን እባርካለሁ፤
በሌሊት እንኳ ልቤ ቀናውን ያመላክተኛል።
8እግዚአብሔርን ሁልጊዜ በፊቴ አድርጌአለሁ፤
እርሱ በቀኜ ስላለ አልናወጥም።
9ስለዚህ ልቤ ደስ አለው፤ ነፍሴም ሐሤት አደረገች፤
ሥጋዬም ያለ ሥጋት ዐርፎ ይቀመጣል፤
10በሲኦል16፥10 ወይም በመቃብር ውስጥ አትተወኝምና፤
ቅዱስህም16፥10 ወይም በአንተ የታመነውን መበስበስን እንዲያይ አታደርግም።
11የሕይወትን መንገድ ታሳየኛለህ፤16፥11 ወይም ታሳውቀኛለህ
በአንተ ዘንድ የደስታ ሙላት፣
በቀኝህም የዘላለም ፍሥሓ አለ።

2O my soul, thou hast said unto the LORD, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee;
3But to the saints that are in the earth, and to the excellent, in whom is all my delight.
4Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god: their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.16.4 hasten…: or, give gifts to another
5The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.16.5 of mine…: Heb. of my part
6The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
7I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.
8I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.16.9 rest…: Heb. dwell confidently
10For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
11Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
